Being from England and watching this in Arizona I love how it is not the normal case of a mega rich family or person owning a club like a toy. Rob and Ryan admit they do not know everything and look to help the team progress. They understand this club is in the DNA of the town so ensuring the fans are part of the process is so refreshing. Good luck to them, the club and the town.
Wrexham, when you see some of the teams that have made it. Fulham, Bournemouth even Leeds have come from way down in the league to name but a few. I was at uni in Northampton and watched the beat Fulham in the old fourth division....look where they are now.
Leeds used to be as big of a force in the premier league as the likes of Chelsea are now.
They overspent, were financially crippled and tumbled down through the leagues.
I think for Bournemouth that's a bigger story, or Brentford an even bigger one.
I'd be surprised to see Wrexham fly up through the leagues. It's a tough business
@@randomdaveUK yes Brentford too. Mate I know what happened to Leeds. I'm a Leeds fan...hence my happiness to be back from the doldrums. Chelsea were also a pikey Wimbledon style team in the 90s.

As a Welsh guy, the Welsh language isn't the toughest in the world to learn, its just unique and different to other European languages because it pre-dates the majority of them.
@PhilOverKill_47 We were lucky to have lots of heavy industry in Wales in the 1800s, meaning that fewer Welsh people were forced to emigrate. They could find jobs within Wales and continue to speak the language. But even in Wales the language is still under threat so fair play to these two
Hahaha haha yeah as a Welsh man the Welsh language isn't the hardest to learn hahaha ... no way !
I'm Welsh and Welsh is a hard language to learn my nana is proper fluent south walien and its so hard to keep up with her when she's speaking it
I am trying to learn traditional Mandarin, which seems to be the toughest language to learn as an adult....

Love it how Ryan Reynolds say it correctly "Football" not soccer 👏
yeah good on them. I get really angry with the word Soccer, even though I use reddit and the main sub for football there is soccer
@@srikarjam Why do you get angry. Us in america, we use both words. Football is more official, soccer is what you use with friends
King Misssile imagine getting angry over a word that Brits came up with
@@rentfree2377 Regarding the UK football is called football! If you want to call it soccer when played in the US all power to you. Given that most English words come from England soccer coming from here has no relevance. Here soccer is used in a demeaning way by rugby football folk, so there is always context. Anger is perhaps strong but British English is under attack from US English. There are organisations here in the UK for example that go around trying to persuade British state schools to use US English! The dislike for US English in the UK is more or less universal because it is perceived as neo-colonial arrogance. The slowness of many US Americans to understand this helps absolutely no-one.
Stephen Folland “UK English is under attack”? Never heard someone from the us get mad about British pronunciation or choice of word. I’ve heard plenty of people get literally angry about the use of the word “soccer” or “PK” in place of penalty kick, when an American Player or Manager uses those terms.

When I went to Orient back in 2019 to watch them play Wrexham in the national league. Good set of fans before the game in a local pub and during the game.
So many clubs who used to be in League 2 have gone to play in the Premier League including some current teams so Wrexham with their backing and potential definitely can achieve this too.
Nope
@@liammiskell3522 erm yes, with the backing they have they can make it to the championship in the next 10 years, but they will need another takeover with even richer owners to make the prem

Building from the ground up. Good for them!
They haven't gone in blind, I feel Rob perhaps is more the driver here and get its more as a sports fan but these two are definitely doing it for the right reasons as well as an investment
I have so much admiration for these men!
If they remember it's not just players but facilities and management that makes the team big.
It's impossible to bring the team up immediately, so incremental growth up the league's with gradual improvement is ideal.
Love that these guys care about there club!
Real life road to glory! Brilliant documentary so far too definitely would recommend to any football fan

“Full hearts, cant loose”
In theory anyone can create a team and within 12 years make it to the Premiere League
Take them to the champions league Ryan
If that happened with their budget...
@@RooseCochran
What is the budget??
@@randymarsh27 I truly don't know, but I do know that their combined net worth is far behind the majority owners of the current top 4 of the Premier League making it enormously difficult to qualify for Champion's League football. To make it to the Premier League would be an astronomical accomplishment in and of itself. To then be better than 3/4 of the best teams in all the UK after that... Would make Jesus' feeding of 5000 men with 5 loaves and 2 fish with 12 filled baskets of food mere child's play.
I hope these guys make it to the premier league coming to a man utd fan.
Fun fact: Because Welsh teams like Wrexham play in the English league system, they represent England in any European competition they enter.
Swansea is a perfect example. They had “England” when their name got drawn as few years back.
Wrexham going to the prem isn’t a crazy thing anymore after Ryan said that he wants Wrexham to be the first team to play football in space🤯
I hope they do would be great
The best thing about this whole interview is listening to one American and one Canadian call it Football instead of soccer!!
1 Canadian...
Terrible questions.
What superpower would you give a player??
These are 2 grown men who own a football team. Ask them about club development, plans for a new ground, how have they found setting transfer budgets with the management etc.
So true. They are owners of a football club… why are u asking them questions about movie characters and superpowers. U could see that’s what they were thinking the entire time
I stumbled across your comment just as he started asking it, and ended the video right there. Thank you Peter.
I keep seeing the ad for it thinking it was fake ..it's an actual thing?
When you are so rich that you play football manager in real life
the series on disney showed that they might not have the funds to, they definitely can take them to league 1 with their investments but rob alone doesn’t have the net worth to fund it, i’m not sure what ryan is worth exaclty but it would have to be all his money to invest to get them to the prem
Ryan Reynolds made ~$300,000,000 when he sold Aviation Gin to Diageo. I don't think he intends to spend that all at once on Wrexham. But it does mean he has deep pockets. If they can go up a division every 3-4 years that's what, 12-16 years to get to the Premier League. During that time they can continue to expand mech sales, ticket sales. Maybe add some seats to the stadium. Maybe entice other events to the stadium as well. He's stated that he wants any growth to be sustainable. It's not going to be easy, but it's also not completely unthinkable.
@@christopherlawyer4214 anything is possible in football as cliche as it sounds but we’ve seen teams come up to the premier league this year spend over £100m alone and they’re not even guaranteed to stay up, look at fulham they did it a couple years ago and went straight back down so even if they get there i don’t think he would have that type of money to keep them there, obviously if u told wrexham fans they’d be in league 1 or the championship in 10 years time they’d take it after 15 years not in the football league but i think they can get to the championship with not ease but a lot of funding in 10 years but to get to the premier league is just so hard, as there’s always 3 teams that come down that are desperate to go back up, the championship has 5/6 clubs now that people see as premier league clubs and it’s hard to compete with that, might need a 25 year plan
I mean if tiny clubs like Brighton and Brentford are in the premier league then I believe in them.
Just because a club ground it out in the championship for years doesn’t mean they’re a small club - big clubs like the top 6 are full of plastic fans without local fan bases. Seeing clubs as big and small and defining them by it is so cringe 🤣

Get in League 2 then u will understand how hard it is to get to prem
But it is easier to get promoted from league 2 than it is to get out the national league. The national league has 1 automatic spot and a play off. Compared to 3 automatic places and a play off spot in league 2. What other league can you get 98 points finish in 2nd place and not get promoted because that’s what happened in the 11/12 season.
