He had to learn the job on the spot and has done a fantastic job. Heâs a comedy writer by trade and managed all this. Heâs just a brilliant guy.
His passion for the sport is what gave Rob the crazy idea of owning a club, so shout out to him!!

I kept thinking this guy reminds me of someone. Then I remember an episode of '8 our 10 cats does countdown' where one of the guests performed a heimlich manoeuvre on Jon Richardson. Found out the name was Humphrey Ker and then came back here to comment on how this guy looks like the guy they are interviewing here. Then I saw the name above and then it clicked.
He worked with Rob who teased him about his love of "soccer" then he got Rob into it so much he wanted to buy a club then he talked Ryan Reynolds into who has a habit of buying down on its luck businesses and turning them into a huge success, he bought a little unheard of discount cell phone company Mint, promoted the heck out of them himself then just sold it for $1.3 billion

Astonishing to think that in 2018 the National League was won by a financial basket case that had part time players and some weeks struggled to pay them at all.
What John Askey did there was an absolute miracle, yet he gets bugger all recognition for it.
Wrexham are buying the title and it's depicted as a miracle comparable with the work of Jesus.

I could say the same of Macclesfield (the 2018 Conference champions), having reformed on a far stronger foundation and forced to start at the bottom of the pyramid, they're ruining the competition for their opponents.
