My first character that I really like playing was a paladin archer, it feels fairly good playing on elite heroics with it, the extra saving throws and PR and MR does wonders for someone that like bows but is kinda clumsy like me lol
Really hope they fix smite evil soon!

Just to note about Ying's bow build - It can pretty easily do 100k to be sure, but it actually can do a lot more. When I was running it for a while I think my best crit was ~220k and I was pretty far from maximizing it as it was a 3rd life toon using his basic gear (as opposed to the raid gear). It's quite a terrible build at AoE but if you need to take down bosses that build melts them extremely hard.

I have a bow Favored Soul/Paladin/Monk Its a pretty fun hero for solo play as it is very very survivable. They are most fun in "outdoor" quests.

I like the bow, it is a very effective ranged attack. That said, i don’t think I could be patient enough to use it as a primary weapon.

yea, i wanted to play bow paladin for a while now, but the smites not working was a turn off. Imagine smite explosion arrrows. Would finaly be good aoe for bows.

So... How would you proc sneak attack if you're solo? Would it only be from certain skills that explicity make enemies vulnerable to sneak attack? Like Unbalancing Strike from Monk, or the Smoke Bomb from ranger? I was considering making a bow ranger, from your old acid arrow ranger build but since i mostly play solo, I wouldn't know if an SA based bow build would be better.

If you are scaling sneak attack damage you use sniper shot which lets you sneak attack after hitting with it. It has a 6s cooldown.

I'm confused...you talk about arcane archer in the build...you show it in the video, but the write up for the builds don't seem to list arcane archer.

Essentially, I explained the virtues of the arcane archer in the video, but for the general audience I wanted to suggest the more defensive build in the actual write up. The end result is people play the slightly tankier version and if they want to change they can make the decision to incorporate arcane archer instead, while having the chance to learn about both variations.
