    I remember playing this game with my mother before she passed away. Farthest I got was level 9 rogue on a free to play account which was very hard at the time lol

    My first class and favorite in ddo. Hard at the beginning but once you get used to the sneak attack mechanics and stealth it's easier and smoother. Assassinate is a really cool ability that can be used multiple times if you manage to re stealth in a corner. Super fun class to play.

    Being a rogue is kind of a unique experience compared to most classes. You're one of the only classes that can disable traps, open locked doors. It's just fun to act sneaky too.

      @scottbowser702 Před 2 lety +5

      Artificer can do traps as well, but rogues are definitely ‘geared’ more towards doing so.

      The best part, is I play a quarterstaff monk, but took a single level of rogue, so now my monk can also do traps. Games solid.

      @@mosshivenetwork117 Oh 100% I think Paladins work best as sword and board or 2 handed fighting. Though with the character build depth in game i'm certain you could work out and perfect a quarterstaff paladin eventually!

    My 4th life was a str/cha bluff+handwrap rogue. One of my favorite builds but is no longer something you can pull off. Summary: uncentered unarmed attacks could get animation cancelled while moving, which meant you could rapid fire attacks almost as fast as you could click and maintain movement. I used flaming bleeding frost burst festival and attuned force lvl 4 handwraps with super high sneak attack dice to melt everything with backup smiting, disruption and banishing wraps. This was about 10 years ago, was a fun little bug abuse

    Could you point me to a melle fighter build that can solo the game and not miss out on chests and secret spots? How much robux do I need to take to be able to handle the rogue needs? Does it pair best with paladin barbarian or fighter? Should we splash bard for healing? Rg2/brd2/ fighter 16?

      But... You cast spells! The UMD skill is one of the best reasons to play a rogue! You can raise your dead party members and cast buffs, teleport, conjure your own bolts (conjure bolts scrolls are available at the House C Artificer vendor)

    Hi, i've started a few days ago with DDO and i'm so confused... how can blend out my cloak?
    Why cant i See my helmet?
    Why do i kill everything in 2 hits?
    What should i do if i've only Quests in Stormreach left, which require a big group? (Says the Quests)
    Why is my Character so ugly? (XD)
    Had to Edit:
    I would ask at the Forum but i'm not allowed to Post something there - dont know why :-/

    • @Strimtom
      @Strimtom  Před 2 lety +1

      To answer these as best I can:
      You enable the helmet and cloak in the inventory screen. See where you equip items? In the center is a person, and if you click the helmet/cloak on the model it enables helmet/goggles/cloaks.
      Normal mode is designed for learning the game. Try hard/elite difficulty once you have done normal. It makes the game harder by adding new monsters and spells but also has better equipment. Also traps hurt significantly more.
      Keep looking for quests, try using the P button to open the adventure compendium to check for unifinished quests.
      Ugly character I can't help, takes time to get a character you like from the editor, although the F2P characters could use a facial overhaul. The newer races look much nicer generally.

    Strim, bow is kinda stealthy…couldn’t I use long and short bows as a rogue with two handed daggers as a backup?

    • @MichaelQuinlivan
      @MichaelQuinlivan Před 2 lety +2

      A lot of the Mechanic tree does work with bows, but not all of them. I'd recommend you play an elf to get access to their Arcane Archer tree or multiclass into ranger/fighter.

    • @Strimtom
      @Strimtom  Před 2 lety +2

      You can definitely use bows as a back up or an opener, but as you get higher levels bows aren't super strong unless you specialize, and rogues don't get too many feats. If you wanted to use bows and be a rogue, I would recommend something like 12 rogue/6 ranger/2 fighter. 6 ranger gets you rapid shot, precise shot, and many shot, and the fighter levels can let you take point blank shot and improved critical ranged as well as using your normal 7 feats to take all the standard rogue stuff (two weapon fighting line, improved critical piercing, improved feint etc)

    • @isaacmiller3386
      @isaacmiller3386 Před 2 lety +1

      You would want to use great xbow as a rogue, and more of the deepwood stalker tree works with great xbow than the mechanic tree works with the long bow or short bow. A ranger rogue multiclass would do much higher dps with a crossbow than with a bow.
      Great xbow rogue/ranger multiclass is probably the highest dps combo that isn't a caster.

  • @RodrigoAlgorta
    @RodrigoAlgorta Před 2 lety

    Only thing I hated about playing Rogue was that you are locked to one type of weapon, piercing daggers as an assassin so you have a really hard time dealing with zombies, undead and heavy dr like constructs unless you can benefit all the time from your sneak attack, which is harder on solo.

    • @vinoewhines
      @vinoewhines Před 2 lety

      Try using Kukris, they are slashing weapons. Legendary Midnight Greetings, The Labrythine Edge. These are zombie killers. Now you have 2 weapons to use, you can use clubs also for oozes and skellies(or blunted ammunition)
