I have been playing monk for a LONG time (since they came out). I always loved the fist monk. I remember the beginning when they were just "horrible", through the TOD years where a good monk just shined (back when you could get a ridiculous dodge and never be hit). Glad to see they are getting some love again. Maybe I should jump back on and see how my build holds up now with the changes.
something to mention for heroic lvling on wisdom falcon monk is that you consider as helpless targets that are blind or prone, pair this with a set of blinding green steel handwraps to make EVERYTHING helpless on a crit, and you get sneak dmg too

my only gripe with your build is i dont think id ever run a wisdom falconry monk without t5 grandmaster for ein plus the other stuff

Wisdom based DC Fist monk is one of the most skill based classes in the game. There is a big skill gap and the top monk players can solo r10s in a breeze
What's so funny to me is that they severally nerfed unarmed monks a few years ago claiming they were too strong, only to then buff all the other melee builds over the next 3 years and never revisit their changes. The handwraps nerfs, Unarmed Strike Nerfs, and other hits to the class have made them into an incredibly weak TWF class that requires you to invest 20 levels into monk if you want handwraps to function at the same level as every other class.
It just shows a poor level of foresight into their changes and is really frustrating.

I think crit is the single most underrated thing you can work on, no matter what class, with seeker/etc. you can fairly consistently hit with high damage,

Does imbue dice affect monks? If so which offenses? Ty
Monks have two imbues, one in henshin mystic called lighting the candle and another in ninja spy called sting of the ninja. Remember, imbues are passive bonuses that add damage to all your attacks. It's like you are enchanting your weapon.
So why shifter over Aasimar?

Well melle class builds sure could use some love .. nice to see more fun builds to play ... I mean so do some of you acctually just sit at end game with the same builds and farm .... ughhhhh .. boring.. definitely not why.come back to this game more than any others

Monk is frustrating because the ways in which it excels (CC and survivability) are not exciting for most players, and so there's this mystique that it's bad.
I've always enjoyed fist monk. Yeah, takes you a little longer to kill things, and a lot of the offensive Shintao abilities are better used with a quarterstaff, but it's not a terrible tree
It's good with every single past life. Not without it. Simple as that. They made it clear that they hate fist monk and hand wraps.
All Im gonna say is 17-20 x3 is shit for end game
Qstaff is far superior
dont you know monks are cc specialist class. handwraps are shit but they allow you to use even more cc than staffs
handwraps also have higher base attack speed, full offhand DS and full offhand ability score modifiers. That more than compensates for the weaker profile
@@gunnthunder4500 no it doesnt trust me, from someone that went from monk to assas rogue, on rogue my damage maybe double what I had on monk
@@derekcoulombe1039 sure, but assassin rogue is more all in on damage while monk brings more debuffs and crowd control. I should clarify, yes monk is lower dmg, but they do more damage than their crit profile would imply. It would be bad if monk could out DPS assassin rogue.
