    Similar thing happened to me! Kind of disappointed that the arms bend on a low speed drop, this idea is neat, hopefully it’ll fix my arm pedal too! Thanks for the vid

    Can also use a metal tube over the arm to bend it back much like you would a cheat bar for lugnuts

    Same here. One fall. Crankshaft compromised. Have to wait at least 2 months to get it fixed. Neverending story about shipments. Not the best quality and bizarre service.

    Why not just take the crank off and straiten it properly and replace asap

    Thanks. This was exactly what I needed to see. This happened to my 73 as well due to a cousin falling. Same side. Same amount of damage and everything. Awesome video

    This is the wrong way to do this. You need to take the the crank arm off first.

    I'd use a small 100 mm steel plate on bottom of the Jack on frame so it's not pushing in one spot on frame spread the load . don't want a damaged frame . But I'd be thinking a little bit of heat to soften the crank arm . It's a bodge job no matter how you do it . Most alloy cracks when you bend it back unless heated . .

    I feel like most of the 73 riders have never ridden a regular bike before.

    Pretty clever end solution! If we lived nearby, you could have brought it over because I have a 12 ton hydraulic press that would have worked well (with the crank off the bike of course 😉).
    I'm kinda surprised it bent on dirt though.

    Hey just wondering if this is a perfect solution… like did it bend back or were there any issues afterwards (long term)

    I’m upgrading my s2 with the 10 speed. You need a replacement crank?

  • @camerawheel
    @camerawheel Před 3 lety +1

    get new crank arms, do not hammer them on the bike you will mess up the body doing that
