So far my favorite lore video you've made. Well done!
I still shit my pants when i see the white Pazuzu face. Scary af!!!
"Captain Howdy"
Please do more Mythology of any kind! Love the Video Mr.H !
A lore video on the Wendigo from Stephen king pet semarty would be a great one. Probably the most evil monster ever
Yeah!
The wendigo was in pet cemetery?
@@wayofthekodiak3118 Mentioned in the book. I can't remember if it was mentioned in the remake.
I read the book, it mentioned where, when the father of the family was out in the forest something giant towered above him but didn't seem to see him.
Love these types of videos. Especially about Demons. Thanks, Mr H.
The university of Chicago has a free museum full of pazuzu statues and other chimeras from Sumeria.
If you think Pazuzu is bad, wait until you meet kazoozoo, who drives the most fortuitous of men into madness with his diabolical and incessant kazoo.
My cousin's friend was possessed by Kazoozoo when we were children. It was as frightening as it was annoying to listen to.
😂🤣😂
.. It might sound and look scary..
.. But they said it wroong in the movie. >.
I often think of mutants in the X-Men world who ended up with crap mutations; baby hands, incredibly powerful sense of smell so that human farts cause nausea; dog farts are near lethal, stuff like that. A demon who is straight up annoying and not scary at all is hilarious to me, "F off kaloooozoo, my shows on"
,😂
Also checkout the ancient demon portrayed in the Denzel Washington movie called Fallen.
*AZAZEL:* [speaking to Hobbes in Syrian Aramaic] _"I can't get inside you by touch, but even when I can, when I'm spirit, I won't. No. Better I get you for real. I'll fuck you up, down, left, right, coming, going. I'll get so close to you, so close it breaks you. And if that doesn't work, I have other ways. I have so many, many ways"_
I really enjoyed the video Mr. H. You taught me something new
This demon analysis is long long long overdue.
I love your content, Mr. H. I like these types of videos on the lore of a film even more. Please keep doing them!
Please do more Mesopotamian mythology!
This
Is
The first trailer made for The Exorcist was excellent. The music used was by the composer who did the soundtrack for Amityville The Possession
Mr.H you are like the best friend I've never had, and always wished for...Grateful to your interest in what's actually cool and worthy in the Horror genre
Fantastic video Nate...
I've always wanted a lore video on Pazuzu. Thank you.
Excellent vid MrH…a subject I’ve been interested in since I saw the Exorcist back when I was about 12…it was quite the experience 😂.
Great vids and content :)
Amazing videos
Thanks, very well done.
You have an EXCELLENT voice for narration, my dude.
More mythology videos would be cool. If it's fantasy you have to be a fan of the show or book to properly appreciate it.
My dad made my brother and I watch The Exorcist when i was 5 in 1984..I still haven't slept yet
Do you still have Insomnia
YES!!!! LOVE THESE TYPES OF VIDEOS!!!!!🫶🫶
My favorite smt demon
I would love for you to make a series of this. Exploring ancient gods and demons.
I'm in the minority on this, but I don't believe it's actually Pazuzu that possesses Regan in The Exorcist. The presence of the statue at the beginning is to signify the demonic, but audiences have misinterpreted this and take it literally that it's Pazuzu, which is kind of ridiculous, and was perpetuated by the dumbass sequel. The more one learns about Pazuzu, the idea of him messing around with a girl in Georgetown is bush league stuff. My reading of it is that it's a low level, yet foul entity summoned by Regan's ouija board use and taking advantage of her loneliness/isolation as an inroads into taking over her completely.. The less we know about the demon and its motivations, the better.
Pazuzu may have been a big swinging demonic dick, but he wanted a rematch with Merrin, and that is made clear in both the film and book
Since pazuzu ain’t mentioned by name, I just call him caption howdy.
Captain Howdy tried to protect her from Lamastu
FUN FACT: Eileen Dietz played the demon face in The Exorcist. She was/is actually really attractive 😉👍🏻
I've met her more than once at several horror movie conventions
Pazuzu is the most interesting demon God from Mesopotamian mythology.
Mesopotamian deities are quite fascinating in general, really.
Great presentation. I am confused though…..I though I did see Pazuzu mentioned by name in the prologue chapter in William Peter Blattys novel.
Just a thought - whoever was sculpting the statue - did they spend more time on the phalanx or the detail of the wings? Imagine "hey great statue the overall detail was ok but you nailed the phalanx"
Its funny how the video starts with the Eileen Dietz test make up. Lol
I hope you continue to make more horror lore videos in the future.
Love You Pazuzu ❤
They should have made an anime out of Pazuzu
Brilliant
Mesopotamia mythology is interesting tbh mostly in terms of connections to demonology
My headcanon reason why the most used pop culture demons are paimon and pazuzu is because they kept miss hearing shamsiel shahar from the future saying paizuri....
No big deal i thought she was saying o shirikoki
Long Live the Ancient Dreams!
You should do Paimon next.
I'm gonna get a big portrait of Pazuzu in case a burglar decides to break in my home this will be the first thing that he sees 😁
He's just a small pawn in the gods' games
Pazuzu needs to slow his roll on the Peruvian Flake.
Who is considered the most powerful demon?? I know Satan is Satan but in terms of demons only, whos the most evil/powerful?
In Christian terms that would be the Seven Princes of Hell. Lucifer, Beelzebub, Leviathan, Asmodeus, Satan, Belphegor and Mammon. With Lucifer obviously being the leader. They are the antithesis to the seven Archangels and were created at the same time.
Are you confusing pazuzu with Christian conception of demons?
@@gigachad167 No, I’m well aware of Pazazus‘ roots as a Mesopotamian wind demon. I only listed the Christian demons because Satan was mentioned above ⬆️. I think comparing the power levels of Demons across all faiths is pretty much impossible so I just stuck to the Christian demons as the hierarchy is well known.
I was thinking about The Exorcist after watching this vid and a question came to mind. Why would Pazazu, a Mesopotamian Demon react to a Christian exorcism? Is this a mistake in the film or does anyone here know more? I suppose Pazazu could have been playing the priests because they failed and Father Karras had to literally beat the Demon out of Regan..“Take Me!“.
@@mrsickukxx1332 no not you, the guy above, the OP.
As for your question, people proly think everything that's clarified as a demon is the same as their faith's conception of demons.
Because it's not literally Pazuzu, it's a lower level demon that Regan summoned by her use of the ouija board. Pazuzu only appears in the movie and book to signify the demonic, the entity possessing Regan is only referred to as "The Demon", or "Captain Howdy" in the earlier stages. That's the entity in white makeup that we briefly see- its history, nature and motivation is never explained. It's only the ludicrous sequel The Heretic that names Pazuzu as the demon in question, but that's best ignored altogether ;) @@mrsickukxx1332
Pazuzu: *possess an underage girl*
Chris Hanson: "I CAST YOU OUT!"
Pazuzu hella creepy
It's like mr H is a white version of me even my surenane start a with H for HAIGH n likes every thing I like it's crazy . Great content bro I'm from born n bred UK but that accent is super English which don't hear much any more
He is a member of the Udugs: dark shadows different from the elemental gods, born in the underworld and capable to posses people.
Lamshtu is not a shadow demon (udug), but she is a evil dingir(gods of earth, wather, fire, wind, death ecc...).
The father of Pazuzu...Hanbi or Hanpu...is praticaly a Dark Lord born in Hell, different from the underworld gods Ereskigal and Nergal.
Can't watch the berserk stuff because I'm reading the manga and don't want anything spoiled. This though I can watch.
????? VIDEO EXPLAINED ON SINISTERS BAGUL AND JEEPERS CREEPERS DEMON PLEASE ?!?!?!?
Done jeepers creepers years ago buddy
Try Warhammer 40k.
I have a playlist full of it already
Lol may sound stupid
But a sci fi tech version of the car vlog.
“ this is the basilisk missile launcher”
I don’t know why a subliminal image of Alice Cooper wearing white makeup scares me so bad.
Assyrian!
Nate , if you had a Hamster , would you name it PAZUZU ?🐹
I'd name it X Hamster
@@lachousalle31🪝🍑
You see the statue of Pazuzu and realize, that even the Sumerians were into tentacle hentai.
3:35 Are you being plagued by a monster. Get a bigger badder monster. 👹
That's why the Christians have "the Holy Ghost" and we the Fenris wolf
HOLY SHIT! DANHAUSEN WAS IN THE EXORCIST!
I wish the Exorcist movies explored the protector/Mesopotamian myth side of Pazazu more.
That was the thing I was surprised when I discovered that Pazazu had those types of ties from the original pantheon as not being a truly evil god. But very doubtful Hollywood would do an origin story other than Pazazu becoming corrupted into the evil being we see in the franchise but you'd run the risk of audiences gaining sympathy for the villain and that happens too much now a days.
If done right they could bring him in Deceiver.
@@donovanbradford8231it’s what exorcist 2 should have done.
Cancel pazuzu. Man’s rocking a hard on
You haven't seen kalamazoozoo yet
Pazuzu you ungrateful gargoyle, I put you through college and this is how you repay me?!
Are you going to review talk to me? I know it’s a subject
Lol
Great comedy, couldn't stop laughing😂
Kkkkkkk 😂😂😂😂
Pazuzu just a little demon. He can't compare to Lamashtu - the god of all demons in Assyrian mythology
He stole THE tablet of destiny from her and sees himself as necessary evil. Lamastu is powerful, oh yeah, but the core of the relationship to her counterpart cannot be grasped by mere logical conclusions
@@Justabluebirdsinging Yeah, sure guy
@@gilredgrave3519
Catholic?
That means Lucifer is also an imagination. Christian mythology is somehow inspired by Sumerian mythology.🤔
Didn't the producers already confirm that Pazuzu isn't the villain in the new film? Maybe ole pazzy can appear in another film like Lamashtu did.
From reading about Pazuzu, it doesn't seem all that interested in individuals or even people. Seems more just a grumpy shit disturber who's sort of pissed off at everything in general.
Have you heard about the demon car “Isuzu”???? 😂😂😂
