It’s a show about a time travelling alien…it’s not supposed to be polarising! It’s supposed to be fun
Unfortunately, many people today can't separate themselves from politics. They have reduced themselves to political statements. It's their entire identity. That's why they get so upset with people that disagree with their politics. To them, you're attacking them as a person.
How dare are you not inject LGBT 24/7 into something? PEOPLE LITERALLY DYING when they not being represented in fiction

@@peterjermey7235no it isn’t 😂
One of the biggest disappointment is David Tennant,s endorsement of this travesty
Tennant has always been a liberal. When he was originally the Doctor the show had far more LGBT content than it does now
@@peterjermey7235More gay stuff tjen than now?? Have a day off son. I dont remember a camp doc dancing in a kilt in a gay club lmao

I’ve been over DT for a long time, due in part to his wife, nepo baby Georgia Tennant’s bizarre online behavior. These people believe their own press, and there are enough blinkered fan girls who worship them. 🤮
Tennant has outright supported all the dei garbage and even his own son wore a lbgtq++++ shirt. Hes typical actor type who lives in the same bubble davies does.
Lives off risk? He criticized Christianity, let's see him do Islam now.

"We’re In A Healthy Position”
In a different universe, the one RTD is currently in.
The reptilian grapin'vaders' universe.
Like Lizzo is a healthy size
Perhaps he means "healthy" as in fat and is talking about his bank balance after the sale to Disney?
We're outside touching the grass , they're inside smoking it .
It's amazing that RTD completely rejuvenated Dr Who.
He will also go down as the man who killed it !
not killed it but helped finish it off.
Honestly the only person on this planet that's more delusional than RTD at this point is Dylan mulvaney, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if Dylan makes an appearance on the show as a special guest to try and boost the numbers
Budman aka Buttman!
Oh dear.. I can totally see that happening. I’ll never get why blackface is considered unspeakably offensive yet cosplaying opposite sex is stunning and brave and any who dare object a loathsome Istaphobe 🙄
That man is deeply disturbed. That he is in charge of a mainstream TV seriel shows the BBC is as deeply disturbed as it was in Saville days.
No! It’s not meant to be polarising!!! 🤦🏼♂️
It's official, RTD is out of his mind.
I might just say this is a clone, the real one died long ago
@@TheDerpyMuffin At this point, I wouldn't be surprised.
They're definitely doing this on purpose now. BBC don't care about Doctor Who, and neither does RTD. Pretty sure they've said in an interview before that all they care about is classic Who, not adding to the future of it.
@@SSJ4Vegiito Yeah, the franchise is sinking beneath the sea of DEI.
The latest incarnation of Dr. Who makes The Rocky Horror Picture Show seem like Rambo in comparison.
People that DON'T like a show are NOT 'fans', RTD. They 'used to be', and they would like to be again .... but let's face it, thanks to you (and Chibnall) this show is history. RIP Doctor.
My view is that you can self identify how you like, but if you've only enjoyed one or two Doctors then you're not really a Doctor Who fan, you're just a fan of those particular actors.
If you haven't watched it for a while then I'd recommend watching Boom or Wild Blue Yonder as both were good episodes
@@peterjermey7235 I've been watching Doctor Who since 1969 when I was only 6. It was the only show my dad and I would watch together. When I 'grew up' I would rent out older episodes and must have rewatched every one several times over the years. I felt that I 'knew' the Doctor, and I was a 'fan' of the show as per the regular definition of the word. But the show has changed now. It is no longer the show I knew and the writers themselves don't pretend this isn't the case. I don't need to 'identify' as a 'fan' when the word actually has a meaning and that meaning applies in reference to my regard for the show as it used to be. So I am still a fan of 'Doctor Who', but I am not a fan of this new and completely different show. The only thing they have in common is the name. This seems to be a common trick these days ... introduce something new but with an old name and then challenge you to like it because you liked it before it changed. So if tomorrow all of a sudden mothers started calling brocolli, 'icecream', would children start liking it? The mothers could say to their kids, "but you've always loved icecream. Why aren't you a fan now?" Are people so dumb? The Doctor wouldn't be impressed.
In answer to my own question .. No, people are NOT that dumb, and that is why 'Dr Who' has bombed ever since Capaldi days. And my stance is simple ... bring out new shows, new characters etc, but please give them a new name too and continue to make the old shows as well ... for the 'fans' (and so you can continue to make money).
@@Nyarlathotep63 it was the most watched drama on Christmas Day in the UK. Hardly bombing.
Doctor Who was insanely popular when Tennant was the Doctor. It was less popular before and less popular since. But it's still successful. You don't get a show with two runs of 20 years that'd a disaster
@@Nyarlathotep63 I agree the show was modernized in 2005 and I also know that some fans of the classic era don't like the revival
The Big Change I can see is in the Classic Era the Doctor was asexual, but now he keeps falling in love (Rose, Amy, Clara, Yaz).
This is not what I am talking about. I'm talking about people raging against specifically the newest series because they think it's all about gay stuff, even though it's less gay than the Eccleston series and they have nit actually watched it. They are raging at nothing
Ignorance is bliss, RTD.
And he sure is ignorant
I dont have any anger, love or anything for the series since 2016
Im apathetic completely
Same! I can’t stand what’s happened to a show I’ve loved since the 1970s! #ripDoctorWho
Let's just look at it mathematically. 9% of the world falls under the LGBTQ umbrella. That means 91% doesn't. Can you see the problem with trying to sell this product now. If I was a salesperson looking to choose a product to move this is not the one I would pick.
*And he can't really compare queer as fault because it was queer from the word go . He didn't try to gaslight an entire franchise and fandom
9% seems like an improbably large number.
It's giving priority to a minority over the majority and the minority are far too small in number to make any difference
LGB was kidnapped by T and all the other freaks.
The point is even if we go by their numbers, it doesn't make sense.
The episode last night featured zero LGBT characters, one heterosexual romance and a one heterosexual family.
It's not nearly as gay as you think it is!
I am glad he happy where Dr Who is, enjoy the new people watching, everyone else has left.

Fruity Gatwa made me laugh😂
Something I noticed when browsing the tv schedule is the BBC are repeating the hell out of these episodes I've even seen them on BBC 2 so they will no doubt try adding all the repeats figures so in effect its on BBC1, BBC 2 and BBC 3
The fact they are airing it on BBC 2 is sad, if they have to resort to using their other air channels, they are seriously desperate
I would rather watch Animals Planet than trash BBC
@@Vynne96-jg7eranimals have no agenda lol

@@TheDerpyMuffinyes because famously the BBC only repeats programs it has no faith in
RTD hasn't polarized fans. He's eliminated fans.
So he's Ryan Johnson.
The guy who runned for Jodie was basically the Ryan Johnson of Doctor Who, Russel is trying to outgun him to make Chibbs feel better
Worse. At least The Last Jedi had ambition, however misguided it was. These episodes don't have that.
Chinballs was Ryan Johnson, RTD is Taika Waititi.
This guy makes Ryan Johnson look like Frank Capra.
Well as long as RTD is happy with the show he made for himself and his mates then that's all that really matters... 😂
Episode 3 is simply the eye of the hurricane
it comes three terrible Gatwa episodes in, and Moffats name on the credits may not even be known to most casual viewers to bring them back after Goblins the musical, Space babies and boogerman the comedy, and Austin powers meets Hocus pocus the Musical.
"Discourse is encouraged and welcome, unless it's discourse we can't control or like, then it's bad. Twenty+ years ago I was an edgy boi." - Russell T Davies.
That must be why he's completely plagiarizing his own work from 20 years ago. He's not edgy anymore he's just an irritating bloated narcissist
If you need constant affirmation, validation and celebration of yourself all the time you are not secure or stable.
Imo the expectation of validation = codependent delusional narcissism
If everything is fine, why all the defensiveness? You've even used the nuclear option of insulting the audience.
They do this when they know they're fucked. It's a good sign.
It’s like someone playing a game of Russian Roulette say that they played twice and now they can never loose so they will pull 6 more times to prove it.
Your "I must be validated" had me in stitches! 😂😂😂😂
I am a young gay man and a Doctor Who fan, and I absolutely hate what has been done to the show with all the obsessive woke nonsense. This has supposedly been done in the name of people like me, and yet, it doesn't resonate with me whatsoever - quite the opposite, in fact. I agree that RTD is a raging narcissist who loves self-promotion. Everything he writes is infected with his far-left politics and he is always allowed to get away with it. For me, John Pertwee, Tom Baker, and Sylvester McCoy will always be the Doctor.
Good point thx and its cool that gay peoples see too that Dr Who its terrible now. Good day to you
My trans friend (I have known "her" for a bit over a decade) absolutely hates this Dr and really disliked the previous 2, "she" is a genuinely kind and caring individual so when such a person starts to hate something it runs deep, it wasn't easy to prevent it overflowing into the older Drs she loved but we (those "she" counts as friends) were able to keep it from spreading to the older shows
The script editor from the McCoy era described it as their aim to bring down the Thatcher Government. Doctor Who has never been for Tories and the Tories continue to hate gay people.
@@vexile1239oh its just a TV show! Goodness me!
@peterjermey7235 Of the McCoy episodes I've seen, I can't say I have seen any of that. I am sure I would have noticed as a politics graduate. Up until Sunak, I was a party member and never had a problem with anyone for being gay and Conservative.
Boom is just a series of tropes Moffat has used 100x already. It's a fanfiction of himself. The rest of the series is musicals and shite.
To be fair to Moffat, it was definitely the best episode of Doctor Who in _years_
@@Jackson-ub1uv Well it's Steven Moffat. He actually loves Doctor Who and on top of that, he can actually write. But one good episode can't save this series. He honestly shouldn't have returned because he left behind a fine legacy and should have quit while he was ahead.
In a healthier position while they have Disney bank-rolling the franchise.
If the viewership numbers do NOT pick-up in the long-term, let's see what happens then!
DIsney have just lost 4 billion dollars, I don't think a TV show about a black over-the-top gay boy who should be hanging around public toilets not police boxes, is going to last very long, do you?
Being adopted or in foster care is one of the most over-represented groups amongst children presenting at gender clinics (along with same-sex attracted and autism) - so he probably does think being fostered is good for you because you're more vulnerable to the gender cult.
Out “touching grass” picking up dog 💩. Sorry I’ve missed your show.
I don't consume any Dr. Who product in any way shape or form. Simply the only way to make a difference.

Christopher Eccleston knew all along.
Eccleston is a solid supporter of LGBT equality. That's not why he left the show
@@peterjermey7235 He left coz Davies is a shallow bully. Sorry if he's your mum.
Dr Who R.I.P cancelled in 2026 down to people turning off from woke nonsense. It used to be a show of character and fun aliens and planets. Now it's Disney gone mad spending millions on a sci-fi series that was loved for decades but has sadly nailed its own coffin. R.I.P Dr Who.
Its not made by Disney. They just bought the rights to stream it outside the UK
It’s only healthy if new people are coming in while the longtime fans are turning off. He’s supposed to be telling good stories - not fighting as a cause.
Current Doctor Who show is Utter Tripe. No thanks. I got my bluray collections to keep me busy.
I didn’t think there’s enough fans left to hold a decent debate.
He is an activist the worst of all.
Beautiful eyes young man, and great anti woke takes, you just earned a new subscriber ❤
This is how most people act when given privileged class and you remove consequences from them.
All that matters is the propaganda. The ideology. They will go through mental gymnastics to forever deny it isn't appealing to most people. Eventually they'll all run out of their companies money.
When DrWho came back, pretty certain he said it was still for everyone, a family show that him and the others in the production team were custodians of. Obviously his time over in the states has altered his mind set for the worst, a shame but that oft old saying, never go back seems to be true again here.
Mr H should have been an actor lol, great delivery
What fandom?
In 1999 Queer as Folk came out into a market looking for a British show about gay characters in light of the success of things like Will and Grace in the US the year before and evident audience acceptance of such themes in the UK as a result.
There was no risk at all, as all UK media was up for a queer show and RTD was the one writer that had nothing else at all in his writing repertoire.
He had done a lot of very successful children's dramas before QAF.
He's probably the UKs top TV writer.
@@peterjermey7235 Ok Russell.
I agree with every thing you have said Mr H.
The BBC says "Our mission is "to act in the public interest, serving all audiences through the provision of impartial, high-quality and distinctive output and services which inform, educate and entertain".
It would appear DR Who dose none of this now!

I'm not sure why it's so hard to understand it's not the fact it's gay it's the fact it's horrible writing.
Supposed to be a kids show though.
One correction -- TVs were everywhere in the 1960s... the beatles, wars, moon landings, all televised.... We still made our clothes from animal skins, yes, but we had TV...
But they weren't as common as they have been for the past 20 years. My mum didn't have a TV, and she was born in the late 60s.
@@Jackson-ub1uv it's not a big deal but you need to reset your cultural clock. An estimated 600-650 million people watched the Apollo 11 moon landing on television on July 20, 1969. The pop. of the world at the time was 3.6 billion. I think that's 1 in 6 people around the globe were watching tv at the same time. That's just one example.
@@mikesheffer3690 What on earth is a "culture clock"?
The Moon landing was an immense achievement and marked the next era of humanity; of _course_ everyone with a TV would watch it. Even the statistic of "1 in 6 people had a TV" doesn't do anything to disprove my point; with the current world population at 8 billion, what's the percentage of people have access to a TV _now?_ There are apparently _5.4 billion_ people who currently have televisions in their houses.
Say that Doctor Who had an average of 4 million viewers, and only 600 million people had TVs; that's just 0.667% percent of potential viewers.
For Series 14, let's be generous and say that the episodes have an average of 3 million viewers; that amounts to _0.00005%_ of the televisions in the world. Adding on the fact that Doctor Who can now be streamed across the world, then there's a _massive_ audience that's being missed because of its poor writing.
Also, saying that only 1 in 6 people had a TV is _directly_ contradicting the idea that "TVs were everywhere."
I don't quite remember, but I assume the arguement in the video is that the amount of viewers should've either stayed the same or gone _up_ due to to the increase of television availability. Just the sheer commonality of television means that, if the current state of Doctor Who actually _did_ appeal to people, then they wouldn't be haemorrhaging viewers like this.
He's delusional about a lot at this point.
“Never let them see you sweat” but you can circle the drain for all the world to see.
Boom also looks to me like they filmed it indoor with green screen in a very small studio - this seems like a last minute insert and cheap ep
And it was still better than what we've been given over the last few years.

I've come to the conclusion that RTD has gone completely mad...What world is this man living in because it doesn't seem to be the world that everyone else is living in...Complete lunatic

Debate is healthy I'd agree RTD but what we are seeing with Dr Who is not debate. It's ridicule and condemnation on one side and meritless shilling on the other. What were the early access streaming figures? STILL not released any numbers eh?
To think I used to really look forward to a new season of Dr Who, but now I'd rather watch an episode of Coronation Street which I absolutely loathe.
Why are these people surprised that there’s 250k lower viewers next episode when Doctor Who, even in its prime, would loose MILLIONS per episode?
I haven't watched this show but from all the thumb nails I've seen.. does anyone else think the villain(I'm guessing it's the villain?) is trying to look like Bette Midlar 😂😂😂.. think hocus pocus 😂😂😂 It's kinda hilarious
I agree 😂😂
If they were in a healthy position, the BBC and Disney would be shouting the streaming figures form the roof, rather than being very reluctant to discuss them.
Think they've known they had a bit of a flop on their hands since before release, judging by them going on the attack during the publicity tour before so much as a minute had aired.

Great title! He’s always been arrogant.
Only a narcissist could double down on shoving a point down our throats that we've already absolutely accepted. At this point it's abuse and his ignorance to the fact is embarrassing and insulting. He needs to resign and move to some very tiny insignificant place where he can't offend anyone anymore.
I still chuckle when I think of a lot of pundits, on both sides of he DW argument, thought RTD would bring it back on track. I knew better and had zero faith. Well, correction....I had faith he would make it worse.
I, like many in our "sphere," go into the return of the Doctor, worried that Smith/Moffat might not be as good. Took a couple eps, but liked where it was going. At one point, a local PBS sub channel hat solely aired Brit shows did a block of DR Who in the afternoons. I noticed i found a lot of the RTD stuff to be almost laughable, a few gems mostly from other writers, but had a hard time getting into it again. Rambo Rose and her too big, plastic gun trying to be a bad ass was too funny an made the whole story line of those eps seem like a comedy. Red Dwarf was more serious.
I saw things change w Capaldi. I hoped an old school fan in the role, w a fan running it would be good. Hearing what the Beeb was pushing in the checklist community, i could see it creeping into the show. I refused to watch Capaldi's finale when I heard what they were going to do to the 1st Doc, and by extension the late William Hartnell. I also read somewhere Moffat tried to fight the demands from above to the woke, checklist crowd and why they both walked. Enter RTD again to do what he always wanted w the Doc since he resurrected it, Dr QaF, not Who. The Beeb back in '05 still had some brains to keep him in check, but no more and King Queer is now unfettered and showing his true colours.
On a side note, now I get an idea why the new Gene Hunt sequel to Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes was shot down. Gene would not be acceptable in the current UK TV climate w/o destroying that character.
Hi Mr H, I totally agreey wwith your take on the current series of DW. But, I think CG could be a great lead or character actor (like, Alfred Molina, Gary Oldman, Ciarán Hinds). I say this from some of the early trailers of DW I saw (but we all knew this would be a st!t show - current day). If you have the time I would love to know your opinion on this?
I'll go outside and eat grass before I watch anymore of this.
I'd probably eat the dirt it was grown in, too.
I'm curious if 'Boom' will gain extra viewing numbers this week because it's Steven Moffat's long-awaited return to Doctor Who. But then, will the numbers sink back to standard numbers post-next week?
I love Steven Moffat but I'm not supporting this. Let it burn.
They killed the show with bad scripts with Capaldi, but this is camp/gay niche with cringe identity politics is going to bring the masses back aka the majority normie family audience? No and lol.
