Not only are you a talented wood worker. You have a good sense of humor!
Aww thanks
Man, close call...wife almost caught me watching this video. I would be working on a bed this weekend if she did. Awesome job not only with the bed but humor as well 👍.
In the world of pocket holes this was really refreshing build
No kiddin! I love pocket holes as much as the next guy but sometimes it's ridiculous lol
I like how you kept one of face boards natural instead of planing. I see a lot of videos where they plane both sides. I think it defeats the purpose of the reclaimed wood . Got a new subscriber . Keep it up brother good work. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks man!! Appreciate it.
The wife absolutely loves the reclaimed wood. Good job!!!
you're the coolest woodworker on youtube.
You crack me up man. More dancing interludes please. ‘And DANCE!’
I can not WAIT to watch more of your videos! You make it look so easy BUT what I like the MOST is that I’m not nodding off while watching because your light hearted and funny! Your truly talented and your sense of humor is a breath of fresh air for sure! If I had the tools I would build furniture every DAY!! It’s a passion I’ve never been able to really establish in my life but have always admired those who can because of their creativity! Super excited to see what else you have on your channel!! Subscribed and already addicted!
My daughter and I built this bed together and she loves it. We made hers from Nova Scotia maple and finished it with Osmo. We modified a few details (we used bed hardware from Lee Valley) and even added a lot of shadow lines inspired by your other videos. Thanks for the plans!!
Your channel is a breath of fresh air. Thanks for all the content. Much love from Cali
Very cool, your approach for this project made viewing this video very lighthearted and fun.
Love your narration style. Best I have seen for ages. Cannot wait to watch your next video!
love the tone, it cracks me up.. good skills by the way
I am not professional woodworker and just newly found one. I am so thankful for your videos. They inspire me. Thank you for your awesome work.
First time on one of your videos. Sick build, great video. Love the personality that comes through...makes watching WAY more enjoyable. Keep it up.
NO POCKET HOLES!!! Great build. The joinery on the head board was first class.
I’m really enjoying your videos. The bed is fantastic!
Nice design and presentation, beautiful finished aesthetic. Now I must check your other content.
Your videos have been on play on my headphones as I tread through my work night! Love the humor in them!
Wow! Looks amazing! Great work! I’m inspired.
Love it! You make it look so simple. I hope when I make it, it is as simple as you make it look. I know it won't be but a fellow can always hope!
Great build. some helpful ideas and a great tongue in cheek delivery. more please
Absolutely beautiful!
Nice build. Laughed the whole way through because of the tone of voice over. Awesome job man.
Thank You Thank You Thank You!!!!!! Making a bed from a pair of reclaimed 6 panel doors and wasn’t sure how to attach the side rails. Problem solved! Nice work on this build. 👍🏻
😍GORGEOUS! could watch that all day.
Great video. Short and sweet, but with enough detail to utilize it in combo with the plans.
Dance.
This dude is awesome! It is refreshing knowing that there is another person with as much energy as I have... 😂 Woohoo love it. !!
Please keep making videos loving them👍
Simpson Strong-tie joist hangers work for slat holders too.
Good job! I like the presentation. I just built a queen size bed frame for my son. I used the same concept in this video except that I do not have all the specialized tools, so mine has a neat, smooth, rustic look. Not a very professional job but a good one. Thank you very much for the inspiration. Ha! I even danced at the completion of my DIY!
good build u make everything look so easy
Enjoyed the videos. Have you ever done any videos on just making simple picture frames and adding glass?
Just some basics for us beginners
You are freaking hysterical and I adore you! I don’t have a lot of the tools needed to make this bed, but the video was completely entertaining!
Beautiful job my favorite style
Nice ..and pretty bed..
Very nice love your style👍 . Keep up the good work .I made a queen size bed a month ago out of New Zealand native recycled timbers and pallet wood .
totally dig the bed design, subscribed
very nice work
I built a bed about the sane size as this. But I sure wish I would have watched your video first! Now I know for the next beds I make. Awesome content and great craftsmanship brother
Awesome work and information! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Beautiful piece of land,
I love the voice over! Great video
That's a dope looking bed.
I just finished my version of this bed. Ours is a king size made with western red cedar. All my lumber was rough cut so I milled every piece. I used 6x6 post that were milled down to 4 1/8”x4 1/8”.
I used everyone of my floor tools on this one. So glad to have a nice jointer!
Plans do not match the bed in the video or, for that matter, my version either 😅!
Keep ‘em
Coming Mr Bourbon Moth!
Now for some bourbon on ice 😋
I found it, I didn't know it was already posted :D
Nice build glad I found this channel
Funny how this was put up a few days before Valentine's Day. Good one man!
AWESOME bed build!!!
That rail hardware is so much better than the other stuff I’ve seen.
Awesome. I love to listen to your side comments.
good job
- VERY good job. Thanx 4 sharing.
I did something similar for my eldest boy recently. I used 4x4 posts and scaffold boards (approx 9x1.5 inches) with the head and footboards mortice & tennoned together directly (I will unashamedly steal the panel idea next time) and used cranked hook & strap gate hinges to attach the side rails as he wanted a chunky industrial look. I hear you on the sanding though, scaffold boards are as rough as a badgers arse when they arrive and took a lot of sanding to get them smooth. The resulting bed was finished with a coat of sanding sealer and Osmo oil polyx hardwax Dark Oak
That Looks Like Fun!
Just came across your channel, after watching this video I subbed. I'm a marble craftsman but a beginner at woodworking great job.
Great build.
Great video ! very interesting ,very educational brother . thank you for that
Man, I will move in your neighbourhood and will do all your sanding. I love sanding. No, really, I do!
Enjoyed the video.

Love a man who knows his wood.
THIS IS AWESOME
I was very much enjoying this video..... and then the "dance" clapping bit popped up..... and I subscribed to your channel straight away. Top Tier stuff, thanks for this pal haha
Great video.
Beautiful. I'm in love 😍
awesome job! Love it.
Beautiful build!! Love your sarcastic style!
Awesome I’m going to try to do one myself lol
Yeeeee!!! It’s Back!!! I mean, the “SMMS” Man I’ve missed it big time!!! This is what I love, would working doesn’t/shouldn’t be boring and overly serious.
I’m glad we get to have this again. Thank you!
And now: “let’s dance” ha ha ha
(SMMS = Sarcastic Monotone Monologue Satire)
great videos man very informative
Very nice idol from Philippines
One thought about when you glue up the three pieces of the panels, just put the fourth one in place without glue. Then clamp the fourth one with the other pieces to help with alignment. You can measure the diagonals to check for square. Once the glue is dry lift off the top rail and proceed.
Duane Miller great idea 👌🏻
Your house must be amazing!
Nice shop
Man that is sweeeeet bed love it
I just downloaded your plans. I’m planning this build next weekend
made me chuckle on the sanding
I always find it so fun when you get to the sanding part. I know you hate it, but for some reason, it always makes me think of the scene from the movie "The Boondock Saints." when Willem Dafoe is at the crime scene, and yells while twirling, "And there was a firefight!" I think of the same thing when you sand, but you saying, "And there was sanding!" If you haven't watched those movies before, you seriously should!
Very nice, did something like this for a neighbor right around when the pandemic started. But I did it almost all with 2X4 studs and the rails were 2X8's. Made a spacer for the slats which were vertical on the headboard and footboard and also use 2X4's for the mattress support slats so there was no need for a center rail. The only hardware other than some screws were 8 carriage bolts where the 1/2 lap joints on each leg supported the rail and all that was needed was the bolts to hold the rails and the headboard and footboard together. IMHO the 1/2 lap joint is TONS stronger than using the hardware and if you are using 4X4's it's super easy to do. The new bedframe was also a ton better than the steel one she originally had where a few of the wheels were broke off and she ended up with storage under the bed.
Now that is one cool bedframe. What it needs though is a couple of chain links in the headboard and maybe stocks on the opposite side ;)
You find sanding boring - I find it relaxing
😂
Que hermosísimo.
Dios les bendiga siempre.
Saludos desde Venezuela
Looks finished to me👍🏻
Damn man, just came across your channel, searching for vids on making a bed frame for when I get my new bed.... I really like this bed frame. And your commentary is pretty funny. I will be buying these plans probably next week when I get paid, so I can get my frame done hopefully when my bed gets delivered.
Fantastic. Watching from Ontario Canada and couldn’t have found a better woodworker to learn from. Merry Christmas!
I second this comment based on location as well as opinion. Cheers
Ontario has many carpenters and woodworkers. I also happen to be one as well. Great fun Chanel!
Another great one boss
Killed it man
Great video. Great project
This video as usual is great. My 50 year old bed just died. It seems that if you want a quality bed you must do it yourself. Thanks for the plans I'm going to modify just a bit. God Bless!
Thank u for reminding me i had a burrito!!! Real MVP
