Looks good Andy! I had to shorten the aluminum plates that attach the rudder cable to the rudder pedals. When you do your rudder rigging, make sure you get 100% of travel as you can't afford to give away any yaw authority in the Waiex. And size those plates so the pedals are off the firewall with a little bit of force, maybe 20 lbs? That way with the give and stretch of the system the rudder stops determine the full throw and not the firewall.
Regarding the spring mount we have all learned lessons about bending parts and your second attempt was what I was going to suggest - but you figured it out.
On my Waiex the "nose up" spring, the one pulled by the trim cable, is almost slack when I have full nose down trim. With no control forces going on, turning the trim knob though its range should give you pretty much all of the stick range.

Thanks Bryan, I just sent you an email and quick sketch of what I believe is going on with the trim, what are your thoughts?

Another good one Andy! Your video production quality keeps getting better and better. Nice job!
As you know, I'm not near this part yet, but I read somewhere that you need to put fuel in the fuel tank for some amount of time prior to installing the straps. Apparently , the plastic the tank is made of will swell a bit; and if the straps are tight the fuel tank will buckle. I'll be interested in your experience with that (e.g. how much the tank changes shape, etc.)
I'm looking forward to the next one! But I think that every time you post something. 🙂

I believe the B model tanks were originally poorly sized, and Sonex has replaced tanks. The poly tanks do not swell. That would be bad if they absorbed fuel!

yes I have heard the same, but am unsure if my tank is the newer one? and do think it is different than Gavin's tank, either way I cant see it would hurt to have some fuel in it during the build, a could way to check for any leaks?
As far as the bold are concerned they still have travel to go as they are, hence me opting for a bolt with more thread?

I do believe my tank is different that lets say Gavin's tank, so hope its a poly tank as you mentioned.
