I will DEFINITELY miss Nissan/Infiniti's refined yet simultaneously brute VK56 V8 engine. But with the ongoing beta testing of Toyota/Lexus' catastrophically failing V35A twin-turbo V6s on owners of Tundra/Sequoia, Lexus LX600, LS500, etc. models, it's apparent Nissan's VR twin-turbo V6 was FAR MORE comprehensively and prudently engineered and produced. Being that the VR was fundamentally derived from the R35 GT-R and has been in production in non-GT-R models since 2017 (Infiniti Q50/Q60, Z), this should bode very well for this all-new QX80. Well done NISSAN/INFINITI!!!! The Escalade's GM V8 should be great as long as it doesn't have the cylinder deactivation type system that has plagued its trucks and notoriously compromised Honda's V6s.

For this to be a brand new vehicle long overdue for a redesign and it is still just even with the Cadillac is a testament to how ahead of the times the Cadillac was. Personally I'd still pick it over the infiniti especially when the refresh debuts, but to each their own.

It’s not surprising at all. GM’s entire business is trucks and truck-based SUVs, Nissan’s business mainly consists of small cars and crossovers. Another thing to considering is that GM’s revenue is about twice that of Nissan’s. Nissan likely didn’t have that much of a budget developing this in comparison to the huge budget that GM had with the Escalade.

The Infinti just oozes class and sophistication. The Infinti looks like a uni-body vehicle, even though is a body-on-frame vehicle like the EScalade, due to the way the body of the Infinti wraps around it chasis/frame makes it look like a Uni-body vehicle. For the Escalde, one can tell miles away that it's a body-on-frame vehicle due to the way it sits right on it frame/chasis making it so obvious.

100%, and the experience is more on par with a Hyundai/Kia dealer. I owned a 2018 Q50RS for 3 years and aside from the car being rather disappointing, the dealer experience was mediocre at best, far from the standards of BMW or Lexus. They are no nicer than a Nissan dealership, either. You definitely don’t feel like you’re driving anything close to premium when you are sitting at the dealer waiting for your oil change.

This is a tough one for sure. While the Infiniti is a sizeable quantum leap from the 2010-23 model, and represents an overall HUGE advancement for the brand writ-large, this vehicle needed to offer intangibles that were completely absent on the Caddy, not merely match it. Cadillac has had since '99(and especially 2002) to own this class and its been dominant ever since.
That said, I applaud Infiniti for cranking the amp up on the luxury, experience, technology(especially), and delivering a more complete vehicle than the Lexus LX600, which feels really dated already. Infiniti at long last has some inspirational trajectory as a brand.

Without the sunroof, the escalade headroom is 38.9. Though the QX80 is nice and has a leg up in certain areas than the Escalade, I myself would go for the Escalade. I find the design of the 80 to be too trendy. This split headlight design and a light bar in the back is so common on a lot of new vehicles now its not really unique anymore. Its a shame Cadillac did this with the refreshed 2025 or 2026 Escalade which puts it in line with its electric brother. I think i like the traditional look of the current escalade more. On top of that GM has always done very good with packaging a whole bunch of room in their suvs and thats what I like about this escalade. We had a rental suburban and took it on an 8-10 hour trip. It was spacious and comfortable so I could imagine what the escalade is like. Unlike the 80 i do Prefer the V8 vs the Turbo V6 just because of the way it sounds.

Infiniti will win for sure. But just wait till the 2025 Escalade comes out, it has been leaked, somehow, and in my personal opinion, the 2025 Escalade is better.

  • @benstanlogisticsllc.1410

Staying Escalade. I will say the Infiniti puts up a good fight but …. No QX80 Extended Length and or Performance version neither. The power second row seats that are heated plus ventilated is nice…. Also third row heated seats is nice as well. But when you drive a ESV V-Series …. There’s no coming back! When you have all your family and luggage loaded up in Escalade ESV VSeries then launch control off a straight line in a hair over 4seconds you over 60MPH sounding like a race car…. BADAZZ!!!! You kids smiling saying “Do it again”!!…..

If you love music but you’ve never listened to your favorite song in an Escalade with either the 19-speaker AKG system or the 36-speaker AKG Studio Reference system, then you’re crazy. The base system is one of the best I’ve ever heard but the upgraded system has to be the absolute best audio system I’ve ever experienced in any automobile and 1 of my older sisters owns a Bentley Continental amongst other extravagant vehicles that I’ve listened to music in several times. That 36-speaker AKG system is truly something special.
I would choose the Escalade over the QX80 because I prefer the design and powertrain over the feminine & narrow look and sound of the Infiniti. I think this matchup speaks volumes on Cadillac’s attention to detail and the way their styling ages so well. The Escalade’s exterior and interior design are still bold, look futuristic and fresh in 2024. Another timeless design like the 2015 model. Bravo Cadillac! 🥂 😎
