- If you've been following the progress of 19-year-old Oklahoma City boy Gabriel Lewis on Fox's "MasterChef," you know he reached the top 7 before finally being eliminated.
It says a lot when two chefs help you achieve your dreams and the other five contestants are devasted upon his elimination and rejoicing in his triumph.
You could see they were really rooting for him to do well, and the fact that all of them were tearing up they were so happy for him shows that.
That is real kindness
Yachieca had the sound of surprise in her voice like "It shouldve been me" Shit was wild.
This is VERY late but this season is definitely the only one where the cast actually cares about each other
Yes this clip gave me chills down my spine! Amazing 🤍🤍🤍
1:23 I started to tear up when Yachecia quietly cried, "Thank you, Lord." She really prayed for Gabriel for the chance to accomplish his dreams and she was so happy for him.
The way that she said it made it truly known that she wanted him to stay. But he really got an even better reward. God is good.
Yes he is and god is with all of us now today tomorrow or any other day he watch over us and now he'll do it for Gabriel
you and me both.
I started to tear up too at that moment.
Yes yes yes
I know right I cried and kept on watching it more because not only that, the excitement and tears coming from the others, they really loved that kid and was rooting for him ❤
that might be better than winning the competition..
Cracking the Shell ikr 😂😂
Cracking the Shell 100% agree. Guy got an amazing future from it holy crap
Cracking the Shell hell yeah
Yea it happened too in masterchef canada to a contestant called aaron he got a job at one of the judges new restos in Montreal
Gabriel, Frank, Micah their eliminations were all painful but it is great to know that in all those cases Gordon was there to help them.
We had the pleasure of having one of Gabriel’s 4 course meals this past weekend, and he is a pure culinary genius. So glad he is getting these amazing opportunities!
That is amazing to hear.
WHERE??
@@michaelwood9559 I believe he's running a catering service so you can hire him for an event though that information may be outdated
Best part was when Gordon not only promised him to take care of his tution fees but also to take care of his family. Respect. Hope Gabriel comes out with flying colours !
He did. He's a private chef and a brand ambassador now.
@@animemaster2400 That is wonderful omg 😃❤️
The way he said his name so fast , was like ripping off a bandage. We all know they didn't want to eliminate him but had to.
ElectronicEcho in so emotional
You can tell that Gordon feels awful telling Gabriel the news.
Gordon- I’ll pay for school.
Aaron - I’ll give you a job.
Christina- I want to know how you feel.
She can give him........:)
@@peppermint3808 Ayo🤣
He wants to know how she feels 👀
😂😂😂😂😂😂 she can give him the “feel”
@Prn 97 he’s from Oklahoma....they sleep with their sisters there, and you’re worried about one year before he turns 18...he’s not complaining
You know you're great when even your COMPETITORS are heartbroken to see you go. I wish him the best and i hope he's out here being great ❤️❤️
Him, frank and Micah... their eliminations hurt like hell
Jeff was kind of antagonist of this season of MasterChef but when he cried when Gabriel was eliminated touching scene!
This episode legit made me cry. What they did for Gabriel was heartwarming ❤️❤️
I was ugly sobbing. I had to pause it to cry. I was rooting for him the whole time.
Even Jeff was crying bro. Gotta be the most liked chef to come through this show
I'm not cryin--
No, I am. When the consolation prize is even better than the main prize. Not only did Gordon mention covering tuition, but ALSO taking care of his parents. Just, damn...
Sorry on your elimination but congratulations on your journey in culinary!! You have really impressed Chef Ramsey for him to offer you an opportunity to continue & expand your culinary skills. God bless & good luck!!
ramsAy*
Ramsey was blessed with same opportunity.
@@wills3210
He was forced to retire with a knee injury.
I think Ramsey learned a little since he first made the offer. Gabriel had tuition and financial help for his family.
Season 8 was legendary, easily the best season of the show. All the contestants were really rooting for each other.
FR though
By far one of the most touching moments ever in MasterChef. Wow.
I was rooting for Gabriel :( but I’m glad Gordon will send him to culinary school :) and Aaron a job to his restaurant :)❤️
It's just as bad as Troy Glass in MasterChef jr
When I first watched this season I was rooting for Gabriel but then when he was eliminated I cried so hard and cried even more from the amazing once in a lifetime offers from Gordon and Aaron. Even watching it again on Hulu 3 years later my eyes still water from this episode. I don't think there is anyone in the world who has that much talent like this young man would ever decline an offer as amazing as that. Those three judges see a lot of potential in Gabriel and they know he'll be the next Gordon Ramsay. Gabriel will make a name of himself I guarantee it!!
I’ve been binge watching master chef and saw this episode yesterday with the wife and tried so hard to not let a tear go down my cheek lol
@@jaycontreras2352 It's impossible. I've seen this episode like ten times and I still shed tears
Same. 4 years later and I keep coming back
1:24 When she says thank you Lord you could see the love she has really brings a tear to my eye
He might have been eliminated, but in his eyes he won
He won something bigger than that competition. He got his dream career and a new life. To go from working fast food to Gordon Ramsey sending you to culinary school and Aaron Sanchez guaranteeing you a job at a prestigious restaurant in New Orleans, he could've only imagined that in his wildest dreams...and they came true for him.
This made me cry because it was so sweet
This was by far the best season of Master Chef 😭💙💙
oH babByyy Dawwllll
You should see season 10, and unfortunately 3 of the greatest contestants were in the same fight
Ikr! No petty drama for the most part and everyone was pretty wholesome and kind and I was sad when they left 🥲
Can you tell me which season?
I'm glad that no one got jealous of this young man and where excited of the opportunities that the chefs gave to him
He is back in this new season
His growth is so beautiful and I’m rooting for him
This made me cry😢😢 May God bless Gordon n Aaron
One of my all time favorite moments from the show!!
Obviously,everyone loves him.
He just got school paid for and the promise of a job in his field when he graduates.. that’s better than winning the competition
This is something in master chef that makes everyone cry even the other competitors
I watched this few times in a row , because its that overwhelming .
This had me so sad omg I loved Gabriel. My favorites were him, Dino (such a cutie to me) and eboni (her fiery was inspirational) but Gabriel was so sweet and kind hearted and well spoken. I am so glad he's doing great! 😍😍👏👏
1:17 that moment you thought you lost but won!!! Well deserved 👏 can never stop watching this....
When I originally watched this, I knew he was going home based on the pasta technique but I was completely shocked yet excited to see him getting taken care by the judges at the end. And the fact that all the other cooks were totally shocked and emotional over this elimination not wanting him to go home really showed the good sportsmanship in that kitchen that season which was extremely rare.
Well deserved Gabriel!
What episode
This season was one of the best in my opinion. There were a lot of amazing chefs and the final few seemed to genuinely be happy and motivate each other
This made me 😭 I'm so sorry you was eliminated but im extremely happy that you was given this opportunity to follow your dreams!!!!! I hope you are out there doing it big!!! CONGRATULATIONS GABRIEL!!!!
Here in 2021 and this still makes me cry!
omg this made me cry so much
this is so emotional
When the praises go UP the blessings come DOWN🙌🏽
Has there been literally anyone else in Masterchef that even had his opponents rooting for them like they did Gabriel?
hands down THE BEST moment in the history of that show ❤ I hope Gabriel is living his dreams today
......I'm crying.....this is a new feeling.....
Best season ever!!!
I haven't ugly cried like this since christine won season 3
Losing for him was best because he gained so much out of it. Gordon Ramsay is so nice to have done this as well as the other guy offering a job. He said he did that without school, in time given chef ramsays offer he could be his sous chef or a head chef somewhere, then getting a job offer? That would be overwhelming for someone his age to have the most famous chef see that much potential in you.
He is so young but he is the best awwww my heart melting
Makes me cry......every damn time.
Gabriel is already a winner with such offer 💕💕💕
Can someone tell me the soundtrack please? It made the scene beautiful 🙏
I almost cried. It's not ending my 5 year streak
Ikr so sad and u can see the that expression Aaron made at 0:23 he was already sad that Gabriel was gonna be eliminated
If this were me, I'd be very worried about letting him down. I have a few learning disabilities and need to hava accommodations set in place to help me pass my classes. First semester I tried taking a full course load while also working, failed two or three of the classes (can't remember how many offhand) and had to drop one, and quit my job. Ever since I've only taken two classes per semester, and it's worked really well for me, I've often passed both classes each time, and the only ones I failed were biology and algebra, but I passed them the next time I took em. I've often been getting straight A's, so it's really been working for me.
The way everyone started crying when they thought Gabriels dreams had been crushed. So glad he got to keep moving forward.
Damn that was emotional. He does not give out an amazing opportunity like that ever. It's hard to impress him already but it's even hard to get him to show emotion
The winning of masterchef in this video is to not cry
And has Gordon Ramsey ever cried
1:06 he knew what's up lmaoooo
this is way better then winning the competition
Crying gor realsies while chopping onions and watching this video
Love this video
One of the saddest eliminations in reality TV. But it's ending is a thing of beauty in terms of giving this chef the opportunity to reach his potential of becoming a successful chef.
Hope he reached his potential 🙏
I wonder if there are any update videos on this guy who was given assistance to help his goal ? Really happy for him.
Yup, he's a successful private chef now. He's cooked for Sylvester Stallone, and numerous professional athletes. He's back in OKC, but is living well with his career.
@@Tyrunner0097 That is really cool to hear !!!!!
Ive only cried twice watching master chef and its christinas apple pie and this.
Bro literature EVERYONE felt so bad and that he had to be eliminated...glad to see that hes still doing great tho
Why do I cry so easily
My family knows that dude, we use to order food from him, until he moved. His food is so good!!
I like that she didn't want him to lose.
Dino's face is just gold
Probably the ultimate win right there
Gordon Ramsay got me crying in the Club
You are amazing Gordon Ramsay!!!
I hope once he finishes culinary school and gets his time in the kitchen with some top chefs that he'll eventually come back and spearhead a restaurant or two in OKC & Tulsa. I don't know as much about OKC, but Tulsa's downtown and riverfront areas have been having a renaissance in food culture, and he'd be the perfect person to take it to the next level.
He's been doing very well, and has been a private chef for Sylvester Stallone and many professional athletes.
1:23 And that is when the tears really fall
Aww❤️
I thing this is the best thing happened wow
Gabriel is SET!!! I wish I was rich so I could do that kind of thing for people. Wow. If you have a dry eye after watching this, you have no soul.
Aaron just secured amazing talent without taking on the training costs… smart
Love you gabri... love you my son... 😍😍❤❤
Says a lot about him when even the other contestant he was running up against was both devastated that he was being sent home, but then elated and overjoyed that he was being sent to culinary school for a brighter future.
Dude the amount of respect all the other people had for him is insane.
Damn was this kid the messiah or something. You see contestants being friends but the heartbreak his opponents showed followed by pure joy shows how amazing of a kid he must be
Stop it, stop making me cry 😭 Gordon gave the man a scholarship and the other chef gave him a job
It made me cry of happiness for him. Go get em Gabriel😂😂😂😂
I like how when Gabriel was told he was being sent home NO ONE liked that. You can see that everyone else felt like they took a massive loss. Then Gordon starts speaking and I like Dino's face at about 1:05 as if he is thinking "oh? is there more? there a silver lining?" then obviously the reveal. "Fast food? Fuck off, I'm putting your ass in school full time."
Man I was so sad when Gabriel had to go. It's one of the few times I've cried on Masterchef.
Aww Gabriel 😭
I’m not crying, your crying. 🥺🥺🥺
So awesome of those two chiefs to give the start to his dreams
The best part was Gordon really followed through on this offer
Well dang who needs master chef
After the season he was my manager at chipotle lol. And I’m dead ass serious.
Abel Aguilera his Instagram says otherwise
Johnson and Wales University
Frost Fire X well he’s not there anymore. But he was there after he got eliminated. Some people would actually notice him and he would keep signed pictures in his wallet and give them out lol. He was hella uptight but cool at the same time.
Frost Fire X yeah Johnson and whales was like 5 min away from chipotle he worked at. You can look it up it the chiptole in Stapleton in Denver Colorado.
It’s been 4 years where is he now
What season is this?
He's already a champion
Dino just looked shocked
OMG!
What year was this masterchef
Need the music asap
dyum he may have lost masterchef but i feel like he got a better ending then the winner did he got the pease of mind of knowing his family will be taken care of he gets to go to school for that thing for full time and for free like it's amazing enough to be able to put "i was on masterchef" on your resume but he won't even need it bc one of the top chefes promised him a job under his wing he may have lost be he made off better then if he had won
OMFG BROO I NEVER WANTED TO FAIL SO MUCH in this
wait....so did....did he win the competition? I mean sure he was just eliminated but...that sounds like one hell of a prize to me xD
I’m not crying, your crying !!
