Joe Bastianich being nice & cute on master chef/ master chef junior USA_ PART 1

- So i see many people hating on joe bacause he likes to throw away food and he gives harsh critiques. I don't like that either but what you guys don't know is that he has changed. He never throws away food anymore and tbh his critiques are actually helpful to the person so he/she can improve their personality and their dish.
Some people still hate on him now based on a 5-7 year old video. Some also hate on him because they see a couple videos of joe throwing food compilation or some sort and assume that he is a bad judge. If you're a true master chef US fan and watch every episode of each season, you can see that joe has way more nice sides. This compilation is just a few of them.
Just like the old saying goes, people pay more attention to 1 bad thing and forget about 1000 other good things. So i just hope this can help you see him the way i see him. I don't force you to like joe, we all have our preferences and i respect that đ
Btw stay safe everyone, wash your hands and keep your distances â€

Joe seems like the sort of guy who doesn't like kids but is trying his best around them anyway which is commendable
Lmao yeah he definitely only gave the kid the scarf back because he was disgusted by it or something
He does have his own kids, but they're beyond college now so it's been a long time since he had to see such young children so often. I can also understand how it can be hard to act so cutesy with somebody else's (who you likely haven't met) kid.

@Xibby it's a show dumbass, Joe isn't like that in real life. And learn English.

@@thedrinkinggamemaker9749 Of course he does, like Gordon in KN. And You know Gordon, he's super chill
yeah he is normal, look him up in interviews and he also made some food for some channel very regular joe
There would be no shock factor for show rating if the judges had no emotion or reaction. Iâm sure the directors ask them to exaggerate to add drama to their criticisms. At the end of the day drama sells. Different versions of cooking shows like in the UK differentiate from most and are more genuine.

His nice streak will always be to Christine đ
Idk man he also doubted her competition after competition. But he could also be asked to do that so...
@@user-qx2kb9jl4y he genuinely respects her though. You have to earn respect and she earned his. He didn't think she would be any good and she smashed his expectations of her, that is how true respect is earned. He said that she would be a liability, she proved him wrong and at the end of it all you can tell that the respect between them is genuine. He doesn't respect her because she won, he respects her because he's seen her struggles and he believes that she won the competition fair and square.
@@user-qx2kb9jl4y That doesn't necessarily mean he was a jerk though, there's a lot to cooking that's visual, and hell, look at all the people with all five senses that don't even get a white apron.
Dude's a soft boiled egg. Hard on the outside, dummy soft on the inside.
Yeah, he gets so much hate for being really harsh and not giving constructive criticism. However, he is just a restaurant owner, not a chef. He was on the show because he knew restaurants better than the other two and what would be accepted there. He doesn't know as much about food as Gordon or Graham so he's meant to be the view of the everyday person. They chose him to judge because he knows what will appeal to customers (as most of the contestants want their own restaurant) better than the chefs because they focus more on flavor and presentation rather than the actual dish. People won't often buy a meal if they don't know the ingredients in it so he's there to keep it restaurant and customer focused.

@@littlepeanut3785 Iâm sorry itâs not your fault and I donât mean to be rude. Itâs just hard to show people who a person is with a few clips.
@M Billa maybe Joe has Mafia connections lol
Too offensive?
He has his own personal ways to express things and I respect that. He's still a good person to me, I don't see any problems with him being tough with the contestants, he's trying to make them better. He's honest, didn't lie so they could know what they did wrong. I like him so much tbh.
lol shut the hell up and stop excusing everything with the word "honest". Even Gordon pushes that a bit too far but atleast he tells you how to improve, and you can tell he really cares and sees his contestants on Hell's kitchen as his chefs, meanwhile Joe is literally just being an asshole (im talking about the videos of him on youtube) where he just goes above and beyond to insult someone and throw away their dish without even tasting it, while Ramsay makes sure to taste it even if it looks like crap, because you dont judge a book by its cover.
sure he's honest but he's still an asshole. atleast gordon doesn't throw food away before eating them.
I feel like he wants to keep things professional and from his pov it's what he thought was the best to do yk everybody have different personalities can't expect everybody to be like you want them to be
@@mikeywith4ys I feel like the American version always wants their watchers to have a villain to hate. Jo is the easiest target. He has his soft moments too and if you watch the episode where the team challenge is in a restaurant, he is much less harsh on the chefs and is genuinely kind to the customers. I think that he is coached to be mean and he is scripted to be the villain. No-one would take him seriously if he were as horrible as we've seen sometimes.
All in all, I think he is a very harsh judge but the producers wanted to make him mean. He cares a lot about food and knows when praise is due.
I dont think thats him at all. I think its all scripted
Joe is a mystery to me tiniest things can make him furious but him defending the first dude Twas adorable this guy is a confusion to me but I dig it haha

@@colefell1042 mean doesn't equal honest, a true example of brutally honest is Gordon Ramsay who always gives advices on what to do instead of just throwing it in the trash bin and insulting it
@@snoopyr1953 nah itâs called tough love but all judges are good
I like MasterChef Junior SO MUCH better because all the judges are parents themselves, so they know kids do WAY better with "constructive criticism". I think the stress that the kids go through is easily 2x - 3x the adults, so when they falter and need help, the judges don't hesitate & jump right in to assist because they WANT them to succeed!
Because of the supportive environment of the junior show, it's so much more enjoyable to watch and honestly it's inspiring to watch these kids make 5 đ restaurant quality dishes!
This should get more views, what a great compilation. Didn't know Joe was so cute

I had so much respect for him especially in season 9, when he mentored Gerron all the way to final. I saw both of them learn from each other, and I really like that!

Good job man! You did a nice thing by showing the good side of Joe. Not everything is black or white and people should remember that there are many shades of grey. Don't judge people just by watching one or two videos online.
