for marco to be able to say "this, without question, is the *greatest* dessert i've ever eaten in masterchef" - look how he does not even hesitate. the dessert must really have been leagues above everything else.

Every now and then I come back to this video and just start thinking. Just imagine being in his shoes as an amateur chef and someone who he regards as one of the best in the business as an idol. To receive such a compliment from someone like that is absolutely earth shattering. If you ask me this is probably the best feeling to ever have in oneâs lifetime. I myself canât imagine such a feeling but watching this I can understand why I tear a little is even though itâs not us the emotion comes to us as well. Truly one of the most powerful moments in all of MasterChef Australia

I love the respect they have for good food on this show, it's very refreshing to see. There's no fondant and they don't take particular pleasure in tearing down peoples confidence. It's all just about good food being made by good chefs.

As a chef I can tell you exactly what he was feeling. We strive to always get better, we are our hardest critics. When you are standing in front of a veteran in our world the internal pressure of emotions could break coal into a diamond. To receive that prise was more of an endorphin dump that any drug in the world.
Y iam not chef but recreational cook. But still overtime i have learned to make alot of dishes and always when i make it no matter how good it is some voice in my head says it can get better. Rarely iam 10p% satisfied

Hes spreading it around his mouth utilising as much if his palate as he can. I do it alot. I'm a chef too. No where near as high level as him but I'm a trained chef and have worked In restaurants. I was taught to try and use as much of palate as i can when tasting
