- In this video i will tell you why, in my opinion, the Omega Speedmaster Reduced (Automatic) is the best first luxury watch under 2000€!! I will shortly go over the history of the submodel line of the Speedmaster Professional and then show you what makes this watch your perfect first luxury watch. I included some beautiful outdoor shots and wrist rolls and share my personal experience with this beautiful watch:

I’ve been watching your videos daily for about two months and I finally ordered a mint condition box and papers Reduced. Can’t wait! Thanks for this video. Liked + subbed
Oh man thank you! I hope you enjoy the watch 😉
From when is the watch?
very nice description of the Reduced Speedy. I like that you don't hurry your dialogue like some of the other watch CZcamsrs do... I will keep following your channel.
Thank you very much! We will keep it up
I picked up a Speedmaster racing 40mm for $2700 and love it. Automatic, co axial, chronometer, column wheel and date. my Fav watch.
They are great watches
I have $1600usd into my reduced. Duty was another 20% and service was $300. On my 6.75" wrist it looks properly sized, not showy and not too small. The automatic rotor is a big plus. If I had the manual wind, I'd forget often. The click is reputed as being smoother, its has hacking seconds and most importantly to me, you can run the chronograph for center seconds, which causes wear on the pro. I wear mine on an Omega vintage mesh bracelet, or a strap. I like the offset modular movement, it help authenticate the watch. My next watch is a serviced full size prebond auto steel and gold. That one is $1150... an absolute steal... though it has seen more dings than my relatively clean speedy. I think I'm done after this. The Seamaster be a little big and blingy and the speedy is more subtle. I can't think of a better two watch combo for the money. Get them while you can!
The click is “smoother” as is always the case with automatic wind watches. Usually people prefer the more tactile clicking of a manual wind (me included).
Sounds like a great combo!
Was really looking to get one but the price increase on this watch is insane. You could buy them all day for $1400 at the beginning of the year. Now you can't find any for under $2000.
Yes that’s true they are going up in price since i bought mine. But that also shows that it is in demand! 😊
This is a great option for a first luxury watch. Mine was the omega seamaster professional 2531.80.
That’s true, thanks for sharing!
I also have a reduced but can’t stop thinking about the new 2021 professional . I might switch sooner or later
I can tell why, the new Professional is simply fantastic.
Have you watched our video on that one yet? 😉
@@TheWatchScientists indeed, great video
Great video! You clearly deserve more subscribers
Thank you that is so nice to hear! 😊
@@TheWatchScientists can I get an omega speedmaster racing 40mm or an iwc mark xviii for $2,500 😎👍
@@TheWatchScientists did you get my comment :) 😎👍
I am not sure what you mean? I think you can get the Speedmaster reduced for 2500€
@@TheWatchScientists you don't know what the speedmaster racing 40mm is or a iwc mark xviii ? I mentioned nothing about the reduced 😎👍
its things like the automatic movement, the arabic numerals, the size of the wrist, it really does it.
P.S Kudos for a very thorough and in depth analysis.
It is really a fantastic sub model of the Speedmaster Professional.
Thank you! We are happy you enjoyed it 😊
@@TheWatchScientists Thankyou for the reply.. you better believe it but I gat the albino and box. £110. Which shows do your holmework and listen to Professionals.sace save save. Thanks for the tips.
@@tonib5899 anytime!
Just sent mine for service. They told me its about 2-3 months wait. I miss my reduced so much :(
Great video my friend! Helped me to find my first luxury watch😛. Would you mind sharing the exact referral / model of the one in your video? Since you have mentioned there are many different options.
and also from which year it comes
Thank you that is always cool to hear 😉
I said it in the video but here is the reference 3510.50.00 and the watch was produced in 1999 and sold in 2003 😊
Have you bought it already?
@@TheWatchScientists okaay thank you, I’m currently checking for a good deal on chrono24
Prices are getting too hot. I don't know why they discontinued this one.
Last straw has to be the Swatch colaboration. I think that demand is high Omega is losing money.
I could buy the Professional, but I don't want to walk around the city with so much money in my wrist...
👍👍👍💥❗ Hast du eine Idee wo ich die Box zur Uhr noch herbekommen kann ? Viele Grüße
Schau einfach mal auf ebay da gibts immer was. Die meisten sind nur in einem sehr schlechten Zustand da sich die obere Lack Schicht über die Zeit abgelöst hat
Great video for sure ! Looking forward to buy one for myself. Just wondering how big is your wrist size cause i have around 19cm wrist . Thanks before
Thank you! You should it’s a great watch.
My wrist is 17cm 😊
@@TheWatchScientists thank you so much for replying my comment! May i inbox you on instagram for consulting about this omega? Thanks before
Of course! Go right ahead that will be easier than here in the comments 😊
And now the speedmaster reduced costs around 2800/2900 euros for a full set
Correct! I’m very happy i got it back then
I really want a Reduced one but I'm little afraid about the service because it's modular movement. Is it really much expensive than a Professional in terms of price to service the watch ?
I think it really depends if you want it serviced by Omega or a watchmaker of your choice.
What i have heard is that a watchmaker would ask 300-400€ for a service but that is only what i have found online.
Omega will be more expensive of course but you get a new warranty of, i think 2 years
Thank you for your answer and your great video. I know that it's always more expensive to service at omega even for the professional one. I just wanted to know the difference in terms of price between reduced and professional for the service. Will I lose the sales price difference because of the service is more expensive ? Because in that case it's maybe better to invest more in the beginning with professional if you save a lot of money with time. Thank you
Ok i know what you mean. The only thing i could find, which you might have already seen, are the general service prices on the Omega website. They have two different price groups for their service, one for non-chronographs (steel and precious metal) and for chronographs (steel and precious metal). So they dont show a difference in price here and they seem to both be 750€
But maybe just call an AD? They should be able to help you with this
I'll do that :) Again thank you for your help appreciated it!
Cool, you are very welcome! If you could do me a favor and let me know what they say i would be interested too! 😉
How is the bracelet , any hair pulling?
Thanks
It does sometimes but is very comfortable to wear 😊
@@TheWatchScientists thanks boss! Appreciate it :)
It was my pleasure 😉
What is your wrist size? And the contact surface for them clock?
My wrist is 17cm circumference and the watch is 38,5mm diameter if that was your question? 😊
@@TheWatchScientists I ended up doing it that way. Speedmaster Reduced and bought the Moonwatch. Now it's perfect. The "Reduced" is actually a bit small in comparison. Also have about 19cm joints. Thanks again for the cool video.
@@blackberry8800 thank you for the update 😉
Should you only buy watches with papers and the box?
The papers are directly connected to your watch so it will be more easy to service or sell your watch if you have the papers. The box is nice to have but not a must in my opinion 😊
What is your wrist size?
17 cm circumference 😊
I don't want to see you. I want to see the watch...
Well too bad haha 😅
