Thanks for this very interesting Video to compare the GoPro and Garmin Cam! Many information and realistic. Perfect and helps me a lot.
Great review, very thorough! It would have been nice to check out the GoPro audio while it's in the waterproof case too.
Great video keep it up :)
Is the gopro superview records a wider angle than the virb?
Hi Mark, have you ever used a lense-correction in post?
I did it once with 4K footage of my FDR X1000: actioncam.nicmd.de/lensedistortion.jpg
Why would you compare two action cam with a different resolution? at least lower down the GoPro 4 so we can clearly see WHAT really is the difference between the two
what about a test under the water with both cameras? wich camera do you recommend me please....
+omar galvan I'd go with the Hero4 Silver. Was not really impressed with the Garmin X overall. I really liked the XE though. X was just a huge step down in quality. Hero4 Silver has a lot more pros for me. Lighter, photo quality, video quality, video options, and that LCD screen.
+MarkHawkCam thank you very much for your comment, in my country (Mexico) in sears is $4129 pesos the VirB x garmin something like $230 dlls ... it is a good opportunity for this price? excuse me for my bad English.
+MarkHawkCam the go pro silver is more expensive than the garmin like $150 dlls here in sears.
+omar galvan I'd personally go for the Hero4 Silver. I like the Garmin Virb X but compared to the XE or Hero4, I'd pay a little more for these. The LCD screen, photo quality, video quality, features, options. etc. The X is good for recording meta data and is SUPER tough. Its a bit heavy but its a nice design especially if you'll be using it with vehicles a lot.
Hero4 Silver is definitely Gopro's best value camera. But too bad it doesn't have image stabilization and GPS. Virb X image quality not quite as good, but close enough that with all the other features, it would still be my pick over the Gopro.
9:50 the garmin time lapse is horrible
Uh, I was expecting some.. well.. action footage comparison, considering they're action cameras.. especially because the Virb X doesn't have a stabiliser and I'd really like to see how it looks when used for.. action ;)
+GenioLatenio Hard to tell the difference and focus on certain aspects when things are in motion. We generally cover both though but given the fact a giant forest fire destroyed our trail head we planned to test on, we had to improvise to get something out. That Helicopter is pretty action-y ;)
+GenioLatenio My response might come off as snarky, but I do appreciate the feedback. Pretty sure the playfulness of my response wont really come through without hearing the tone in my voice. Anyway thanks again :D
Can you speak little bit faster please?
