- Jigsaw Falling Into Place
Just as you take my hand,
Just as you write my number down,
Just as the drinks arrive,
Just as they play your favorite song...
As your blather disappears,
No longer wound up like a spring.
Before you've had too much,
Come back and focus again.
The wall's abandon shape,
You've got a Cheshire cat grin.
All blurring into one,
This place is on a mission.
Before the night owl,
Before the animal noises,
Closed circuit cameras,
Before you're comatose.
Before you run away from me,
Before you're lost between the notes,
The beat goes round and round,
The beat goes round and round!
I never really got there,
I just pretended that I had.
Words are blunt instruments
Words like a sawed off shotgun.
Come on and let it out,
Come on and let it out,
Come on and let it out,
Come on and let it out.
Before you run away from me,
Before you're lost between the notes,
Just as you take the mic,
Just as you dance, dance, dance...
Jigsaw falling into place,
There is nothing to explain.
Regard each other as you pass:
She looks back, you look back.
Not just once, not just twice.
Wish away the nightmare,
Wish away the nightmare.
You've got a light, you can feel it on your back.
You've got a light, you can feel it on your back.
Jigsaw falling into place. - Hudba
i was focusing on phils drumming here and I noticed that the beat goes round and round
ImAGrateSpellr I JUST PREEETENDED THAT I HAAAAD
Falling into place...
I'm lost between the noise
@@emittl WORDS ARE BLUNT INSTRUMENTS
@@nolanr7679 WORDS ARE A SAWED OFF SHOTGUN
Don't lie
you smile when Thom says "the beat goes round and round" the second time
the shift of tone there is one of the many things I adore in this song
i don't smile, i start dancing uncontrollably and screaming along to the lyrics...
every time!
almost every time
@@antonio-eg1re thom vibes fr
It’s one of those Radiohead songs that are 100% orchestrated perfection. Nothing else is needed. Paranoid android is the same.
I'd say burn the witch also
@@charlieblockclocksnow I remember listening to all of them again and again and again!
It brings back so many amazing memories :)
Definitely one of my favourite Radiohead songs. Such great buildup and payoff
+F_DeMarco both great songs but I think this song is better than Weird Fishes. The opening and closing riff is too perfect
Rush1017 you enjoy the lyrics more on this one?
+contactkeithstack honestly, I focus more on the music, but the lyrics on this one are great also
my favourite
You could say the sane for the whole album. I mean the buildup and payoff thing
Damn, this was almost a decade ago... So nuts. And to think that they started in 1985... These guys have been playing together for 32 fucking years man and they are STILL putting out music. One of the greatest rock bands/bands in general of all time, hands down.
Indeed, without hesitation.
My all time favorite, so inspirational
agreed thank god there's no boomer in your replies getting offended by your comment
@@excelesia kinda glad i haven't seen those boomer comments pop up yet in Radiohead's music
man... there are band that are on another planet... no joke
just take a moment to listen to Colin
TheKnowlesy56 dat badasss bassss
That bassline floating in the background, sick
criminally underrated musician. being a bassist, i look up to this guy, he is consistently funky, complex, and stylistic in his playing. he deserves more recognition.
That’s what I’m here for!!! Cheers
Always
If you could say just one thing about Jonny Greenwood, it's that he really loves his guitar.
You'd be surprised, he does get sick of it, was there much of his guitar in Amnesiac and Kid-A?
+Without Dan that was not his decision?
is that so
yes, to the right of thom
He's a very diverse musician and he's said before that he likes to play the piano just as much if not more than guitar.
how underrated this song is. i guess they dont play this live that often. i love this
They don't play it live, not because of a lack of interest, it's just ridiculously hard to sing
Its a really difficult song to play live too
This is the last time they played it, actually.
And the lyrics are awesome
@@ccsconnor7705 Bold idea: Just have Ed sing the lead on the lower register bits. After Olympik I'm convinced he could do it.
The greatest fucking band ever. The most creative and brilliant music for the last 30 years or so..
They are so into the music. They all seem possessed, each one in his different way. At certain point, Ed is actually with his eyes rolled back... This music is just freaking amazing....
I haven’t seen any comments express this, but I looked it up and this is the last time Radiohead performed this song live. I would be so happy to see them perform this song one more time before they retire.
Also the last time they performed Just :(
i think it's too upbeat for them 🗿

THE BEAT GOES ROOOOOOOOUUUND AND ROOUNNND
Jonny fucking Greenwood
hell yeah
im going to make sure i get a great fucking view of this guy the next time i see him.
What about Phill? He's on fire here
3:26 always loved jonnys exaggerated movements while rocking out
Me too but in this case he needed to be more still to sing better Still amazing They don’t play it bc Thom can’t sing it now He couldn’t sing it then lol
the best song on in rainbows
Ed singing off-mic with Thom is so wholesome and amazing.
thom and the guitarist to his left are always completely possessed by the spirit of music
They are Radiohead sweetheart.
They have the spirit of music kissing their shoes.
gawd I love how into it they are.
Gotta love it when Jonny lose it..
I love how every single person involved in this band is extremely talented, damn dude they surely know how to do great songs.
The reason they unfortunately don't play this live much is because thom can't sing it as well as he recorded it on the album which is a true shame because this is one of my favourite songs of all time.
if he sang more and spinned his head a bit less maybe he could 💀
@@mikesantiago14 bit difficult when ur playing acoustic to a song at that pace
@@Theo-yo8ph he doesnt need to spin his head nearly as much as he does here or in any song he does it, really. sure, cant stay perfectly still because of the tempo, but he doesn't need to spin his head like he's drawing an infinity symbol
@@mikesantiago14 yh but it seems thom feels the music more than anyone tbf lol. nd at that pace u can't expect him to just stand still
@Theo-yo8ph Idk, I bet that helps him with feeling the rhythm
Phil does an awesome playing this tempo for so long. Try and see how long your forearms can keep up .
James Brownstein I don't think enough people realise this, I can't drum to save my life (no coordination ), but I know a few great drummers and whilst they don't bash the living shit out of their kit, they still end up almost exhausted after a gig whilst everyone else is still relatively fresh. Moving all four limbs almost continuously for a couple of hours is probably more exercise than many people do at the gym.
Phil and Colin make this band. Them boys at the front are just showing off...;)
Huh, it’s a pretty normal beat.. nothing special about it for a drummer.
@@verpeiler089 Yeah it's a normal beat. But the stamina and dexterity to play it cleanly for 4 minutes straight is nothing near normal. I don't think marathon runners have the feet to keep that kick steady.
Robert Whitworth this is really inaccurate lol
it makes me happy to watch the smile on ed's face
the smile
@@mikesantiago14lol
At 2:15 when Thom sings " aaaahhhh ahhh " might be the most beautiful thing I've ever heard.
Jonnys guitar sounds so dirty, I love it!
Best song on in rainbows
Yup
This is why I love Jonny so much
Losing my mind to this, unbelievably deep song on a bullet train.
One of the truly great live performances.
Ed should've had his mouth a bit closer to the mic
Uncle Podger I think he was having to much fun to do that
come on, the guy's got a lot on his plate
incredible song
Gives me chills every time
I come back to this video, time and time again....I want to paint it...I've taken photos of it on the site, here....Thom with his head moving back and forth, with the drummer behind him...the yellows and the greens...the bass player: "wish away the nightmare".....surely the lyrics will come forth in the paint, the music is relentless....I thank the person who recorded this concert...thank you, all.

Best Post-OKC track ever
Near the end, i almost had an out of body experience
Just as you dance, dance, Dance .. and i just start dancing like crazy :")

To my future child, if you are listening to this song, Daddy is proud of you.
Am I the only one who loves Thom's sense of fashion from this point in time?
he's got some fire in him
ugh jonny's starcaster is fucking beautiful. i want that guitar so badly
+The Box That Could yeah jonny is the guy with the checkered shirt and orange guitar. its a fender starcaster
This song is f****n epic, I've literally just got into radiohead,I've heard them on radio blah blah since the 90s,but never really 'listened'...I'm listening now, epic, truly epic, apologies to all Radiohead fans,it's taken me this long to appreciate them

I was at Leeds this year and took my first E before Radiohead (as planned) and i remember nearly toppling over watching a fucking massive strobe light go round and round listening to this song. What a moment

I spot the Tibetan flag behind Johnny Greenwood at 0:26. Yet another reason to love Radiohead!
