Edit: I've been alerted Thom plays it differently. Oh well, I still like mine.
Edit 2: Saw Thom play this at SF Outside Lands, and again (like Reckoner), I saw him play it this way. I feel so vindicated. - Hudba
hey yall
lol
scott here!
Ik this video is like 12 years old but this is easily the best tutorial/cover of the song I've heard thank you for posting it
I thought the same thing and I just intentionally came back to this one after years
@@bobbyhalick Haha, same

It's been 15 years?? This was the ONLY tutorial when it came out and it's still the best
15 years later and you still have people learning from this... cheers!
my time stamps for reference
1:46 intro
3:30 slow explanation
"... so it's not canon." That's awesome. Just found your videos. People better be throwin' money at you for lessons.
+Christopher Blair Thanks!
I started playing guitar about three years ago, and have been steadily trying to learn new techniques through songs. I saw this tutorial two years ago and tried playing it and couldn't come anywhere close so I gave up.. I even went as far as to thinking you were a bad teacher since I couldn't get it. I came back to this video half a year later and still wasn't able to process how you were playing.. I found easy alternatives online but decided I'm either going to learn it the PROPER way or not at all. It was a goal of mine to be able to play this song. It's been over a year since I've been to this video and after hearing this song today I was motivated to come here again. I was able to follow you and actually learned this entire song.. As a somewhat better guitar player now, I was able to understand your instructions and they are actually incredibly helpful... Not really sure what this post is supposed to mean, just wanted to let you know that this video kept me motivated to keep learning guitar.. Thanks a million dude, cheers
Thanks for sharing! Awesome work.
Great video man. Rediscovered this track this afternoon, found your vid here. Reminded me of jammin and learning stuff with buddies 15+ years ago.
Hey Justin, this is one of these songs where at some point in your musical journey the combination of the rhythm in your right hand and dexterity in your left come together to be able to play this. Could Thom Yorke have played this when he released Pablo Honey? probably not but 14 years later when Radiohead released In Rainbows he could. The Geetar is a lifelong journey. Play a little everyday for years and one day you find you will be able to play anything.
This video came out when I was seven lol. I’m 20 now and oh my goodness this is a tremendous tutorial. The whole vibe of the video is just immaculate. I finally learned one of my favorite tunes because of you, thank you so very much!
Hah I guess I’m super old in CZcams years
learned this when you posted it 8 years ago and just got the random idea to play it again and totally picked it right up after watching. you tha real mvp! thanks bud
Thanks for the tutorial, man. I’ve been impressing people at school because of you
YESSSSS
Hearing the difference between tones does not come overnight, but I consider it my most important asset as a musician... I'd gladly choose pitch discernment over my fingers, even.
@SuperiFox I don't trust tab books... even when they are licensed by the band. They are not written by the band and often contain simplified transcriptions. I believe the tuning is D A D F# B E because you can see Thom using the 2nd fret 5th string when he plays the verse to produce the B, not the open string. The only negotiable could be the 1E, which some tune to D. The 1st string is not prominent in this song at all.
Brother, this is 10 years old and it's one of the best tutorials I've found around. Hope you are doing well, man!
Thanks! It was a rushed tutorial but I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
This is excellent content I say 14 years later
@@warrenmusic still got that magic
Bro you absolutely killed that
Thank you, you don't know how much this means to me.
Been trying to learn this 100% for like 2 years on and off with no small thanks to this video. Great video. :D
Radiohead AND tool fan? Good man right here
I am pretty sure back then CZcams did not allow videos to be longer than 10 minutes, that's why he wraps it up at 9:59. Can't belive how he was able to explain such a complex song in under 10 minutes...
I remember a 15 minute limit, i think it was lifted when you added a phone number to your google account, but it wasn't made obvious.
Thanks for all the wonderful tutorials. Ive been watching these for over a decade now and you are easily the best at delivering these WONDERFUL radiohead tutorials. POGGERS
Couldn't help but subscribe. This song means the world to me, and you play it so fluidly, and seem to be having a great time!
I found this video like 10 years ago. Seeing how much you’ve grown w your channel and music knowledge is dope. Cheers man
Also a returnee to this video after almost a decade. The gift that keeps on giving, thank you for this!
"Drop that D''
(That's what she said)
Couldn't resist! Awesome tutorial brother, will donate a little something when I get it down :)
My favourite thing about this video, and so many of your tutorials, is how much fun you're having just playing the song. You don't let the details and technicalities of teaching stop you from enjoying the mere act of playing. It's just a joy to watch.
What a amazing video. Thanks for the work you put into it! Keep it up :) :) :)
Dude....every once in a while I come back here, and being this one of my favourite songs ever, I'm pretty much stunned. I swear to god, playing this song ENTIRELY and PROPERLY is my goal with the guitar. At the moment it's way beyond my possibilities, but little by little Ill try.
By the way your abilities are just something else man, I don't know how much time you actually put into your playing, but whatever it took to get to that level, it's 100% worth it. Thank you for this amazing tutorial
care to share your progress? Did u get it yet?
You've really hit the core of this song. Love your style of playing, genuine expression. Great teaching too, thank you for sharing.
Been using this tutorial (and other tabs) for years, finally getting the idea now lol it always seemed so complex in my mind, thx dude
Still a great tutorial, the one I used to learn this song! I come back here occasionally to unlearn bad habits and shortcuts I end up putting into it. Crazy how you managed to fit all this into 10 minutes!
Love all of your old Radiohead tutorials. Great stuff man! And ... I really like your long hair bro.
dude great job. Been a while since I have had a guitar tutorial video open for multiple days lol, this one is tricky. You did absolutely brilliantly figuring this out.
Just incredible. Thank you so much for this, and fantastic work!
warren is a freakin legend!!! my boy told me about this guy and his radiohead covers, ive been learning from him since...thanks dude
I learnt this tune from your video about 8 years ago and I still think this is the best tutorial on youtube!!! I'm back here to re-learn it to teach a student of my own and have been blown away again the second time round! Your vibe is incredible, your playing is beautiful, and your explanations are so helpful. Thanks for being a legend :D
Man, this version is perfect. I've been trying to learn this for a long time, and this is by far the best version. Thanks a lot!
man you're awesome, congrats!! just found your video and wow that's stunning, really helpful! thanks a lot, you play incredibly great, no words!
Your possibly my favourite discovery on youtube. Ive watched a couple of your videos and i like your completely unpretentiousness attitude to teaching guitar. Keep up the good work.
Wow that was a great tutorial i usually find it hard to learn songs through videos. And no one ever tabs out Radiohead songs with their inherent fluidity intact. Perfect job man.
I've been following your videos for quite some time. You are a fantastic teacher.
Keep on.
I've researched about 4 different ways to play this song and yours absolutely sounds the best.
Thanks man. Perfect. Been waiting for this for something like this for a while!
Hey Man! Just wanted to say "THANK YOU" for putting together this tutorial on Jigsaw Falling Into Place. I can't tell you how long I struggled through what my former guitar instructor tabbed for me (incorrectly/inaccurately!). This has been great and has provided me with the "relief"of FINALLY being able to play one of my favorite songs! Now I'm a subscriber and look forward to learning more from you! Keep up the great work!

Its at the point that if its not Warren, its not the best tutorial! Rock on man!! Love this song!
I've been playing Radiohead off sheet music for over 10 years, and haven't really had anyone to help me with some of the techniques. You are a Godsend my brother!! Thank you!
Yo you're amazing at this man. Your Radiohead covers are amazing, keep up the good work man :)
thanks very much by the way warren, this is really helpful. Downtuning the 3rd string like you do makes it a lot more fun. This song has such a strong groove and the way you play shows that you get that groove.
you are so good on so many levels, thanks a million!!!
you are right, although it took me some time to figure it out it was really worth it in the end to just keep at it. I can now play the part and it sounds great, Thx!
