@@BierBart12 As bizarre as those commercials may seem, it's actually a reasonable impression of how absurd the game is, especially when you consider so much of the game experience is making up your own story and explanation for what's happening. The first Sims game is especially panicked with how easy it is for sims to fall into depression spirals or cause fires.

To be fair, the package clearly said that it poses a suffocation risk for kids below 36 months and idiot parents let their infants play with them anyway. Burger King got blamed regardless and had to pay millions in fines and reparations.
