People giving Vinny a hard time, the man was a full grown adult when Drake and Josh started lol. Not really surprising he hasn't watched it. I was 15 when it started and by that point I was watching nothing but Toonami and Adult Swim.
Yeah, he definitely wouldn't be watching Nick SitComs if he was over cable already.
I thought Bell also started on All-that and the Amanda Show though... which are from the 90s and VERY early 2000s. Not saying he deserves to get flack or anything, but there's other shit to know Drake Bell from around the era that he may have actually seen.
The only Nickelodeon sitcom I remember is Clarissa.
Drake and Josh was on when I was kid, but I found myself watching the George Lopez show way more often.
Yeah people forget Vinny was like 19 when Drake and Josh came out.
Not everyone was born in the same year, people, just because we were like 11 when it came out, that doesn't mean everyone else was.

Classic Game Commercials and YTP’s are one of my favorite segments from Vinny. Honestly it’s just entertaining to watch the pure insanity of the commercials and Vinny’s nostalgia for it.

Kay Dwessie I suppose it comes down to taste. I thought it was insufferable even when I was younger and it was airing, even though I love sitcoms and I’ve seen a LOT of them. Have a feeling teenage/young adult Vinny might’ve felt the same.
Maybe I’ll give it a rewatch, but I don’t like Josh Peck or Drake Bell as people and that equally makes it hard to enjoy. The thing I remember liking the most was their boss at the movie theater, she was funny.

Very interesting to see these, because we basically didn't even have game commercials in Finland. 99% of these are stuff I've only seen on CZcams later on or something Vinny has shown.
I remember seeing the Keebler commercial @6:12 all the time while watching Fox Kids. I'm 4 years younger than Vinny so maybe age made a difference in what we watched/paid attention to during this time
There's just something very nice and cozy about these particular streams when it's nothing more than a grown man showcasing old videos

I don't have a lot of nostalgia for these ads as they are mostly US adverts, but I still love these streams. I even submitted the Rik Mayall Nintendo adverts from the 1990's that I'd recommend checking out if you know who Rik Mayall is and have never seen them before.
This is why I'm glad he showed some Japanese adverts too, it's really interesting

This is so bizarre. I just watched the first two parts and a third suddenly appears. Suspicious.
The one scene I cannot forget from Drake & Josh is where they are stuck with a group of criminals and to scare them Josh makes it look like he killed Drake with a banana. And it works.
I never saw it myself (must have been rarely shown), but I remember my mom telling me about how she saw a commercial for a "Playstation 9" around the time the PS2 was out. I thought she either misheard/misread the commercial, or that it must have been a joke commercial. Finally seeing it, the latter is proven.

Those KFC Pokemon toys were how I got into Pokemon as a kid. Family went to KFC to pick up some dinner and I saw the Pokemon display and immediately wanted one (Dratini) because of how cute they were. I want to say the anime premiered sometime after that, because I remember being really excited to find out there was a cartoon about them (ironically Dratini never appeared in the dub version until Johto due to the safari zone episode being banned). My first video game system ended up being the Pikachu GBC. Funny that all of that happened because of fried chicken lmao.
