    Thanks so much for watching! 😊 With this video, we wanted to show you that breastfeeding positions are more than just a means to feed your baby! Breastfeeding can support you in the very situation you find yourself in, no matter if it’s a gassy baby, a baby with reflux or when you recover from a C-section. And because of that, some positions can be superior to others! We hope you find our video helpful!

    My favourite position has to be the laid back one. I find it the most comfortable for sure and he seems to enjoy it as well. My little one used to suffer from reflux and is a gassy baby so this position definitely helped! I have to say though, in the beginning, the cradle was my position of choice as it felt most natural but the rugby hold did help him to latch on his least preferred side

    Can you do a video about swollen scrotum in babies(not in newborns but in two month old babies)

    • @CareAboutLittleOnes
      @CareAboutLittleOnes  Před 2 lety

      Hi there 😊,
      thanks A LOT for your feedback, we are super happy that you find our videos helpful!! 😊
      Also, many thanks for your input! We will definitely put it on our list!
      In the meantime, we can tell you that in 99% of all cases, a swollen scrotum does not cause any problems. It is just an accumulation of fluids which normally disappears within a few days after a baby is born. However, if this does not happen, the fluids stay in there for longer. But normally, the problem disappears with the first year.
      That said, it is important that you take your baby to a physician because they have to exclude other important reasons why your baby's scrotum is swollen. For example, it could also be an infection.
      But again, this is really rare! Still, please do take your baby to a doctor to make sure that there are no reasons which would require the attention of a medical professional!
      Thank you! 😊
      We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

      Hi there 😊,
      sure, you can start to exercise as soon as your doctor gives you their okay to do so! However, you don't need to tie your belly! Breastfeeding and exercising are really the best ways to lose belly fat after a pregnancy! Both will help you lose calories and to get back in shape!

    • @CareAboutLittleOnes
      @CareAboutLittleOnes  Před 2 lety

      Hi there 😊,
      it is recommended to feed such young babies every 2-4 hours, depending on baby's overall health and condition. For example, if your baby is very small or weak, then you may be required to feed your baby every 2 hours because the stomach is too small to take up enough calories to make it much longer without any additional feedings.
      We hope this helps! 😊

    I gave birth my second child 2 weeks ago and my pediatrics told me not to breastfeed in side lying position as it can cause ear infection in baby. But I have very much stitches pain and rectum pain also. So l can't siy and nurse my baby. What is the solution?

    • @CareAboutLittleOnes
      @CareAboutLittleOnes  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Hi there 😊,
      please don't worry about that at all! That claim is actually based on a study which looked at "bottle-fed" babies. Not breastfed babies.
      And it found "evidence" that feeding babies in lying positions (in general) can increase the risk of ear infections because of the risk that milk could enter the eustachian tube of the baby.
      However, breastfeeding is not the same as bottle feeding, in many ways. As a matter of fact, breastfeeding actually REDUCES the risk of ear infections because of the vital ingredients in breastmilk.
      So worry not mommy! 😊
      We hope this helps! 😊

    • @CareAboutLittleOnes
      @CareAboutLittleOnes  Před 2 lety

      Hi there 😊,
      good question! This is a very difficult topic.
      The good news is that most babies (at least in our experience) don't seem to have a problem with that. The bad news is that some babies do. And so far, we have not found a (natural) solution to that problem... No natural treatment, no breastfeeding position, nothing.
      Some parents we know went for a tongue-tie division. That DID solve their problem. But honestly, we get shivers only from thinking about that option (let alone the fact that they require a general anesthetic - which is really very very harmful for the body) ...
      But yes, so far, unfortunately, we have not found a natural solution that helps babies. ☹️
      I am sorry that we cannot help here.... 😬😬

    I have a question, do we still need to burp the bay or how can we burp the baby in SIDE LYING POSITION ?

    • @CareAboutLittleOnes
      @CareAboutLittleOnes  Před rokem

      Hi there again 😊
      It is recommended to always burp your baby after he eats. However, the burping position very much depends on what works best for your son! So that may not necessarily be a side-lying position!
      Therefore, it may be required that - after you fed him in a side-lying position - you "sit" him up and burp him (technically, it is not sitting) - or whatever helps your son burp!
      We hope this helps! 😊
