Please put Phil Collins in the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame . How many agree with me?
#getphilvotedin 🥰
Gotta do it before it's too late. It's too sad if he doesn't get to enjoy the adulation.
He fits all the requirements to be eligible. So does Genesis so that's twice he should be honoured. 😃

I can't believe he's not??!!! That's a shame
Phil Collins owned the 80's
Um, that would be Michael Jackson. Phil definitely owned Miami Vice though lol
That is more true than you know. Fact, Genesis, of which Phil was a member created the sound of the eighties, a collapsing drum reverb... It's why eighties songs have that signature sound...
@@YacDiesel Michael Jackson, do me a favour
Remember when pop stars could look like Phil Collins?
And now you have to be way more hideous and covered in facial tattoos! Well O.K. there are probably a FEW attractive ones too
It’s like people were listening to the music back then.
@@jc01057haha right!! I didn’t appreciate the music enough back then.
Perform and sound like him too …
A true Legend
No, I don't remember that. I remember when they had to look like Bon Jovi & Cher.
Phil was a standout.
New artists like that still exist, & their music videos are worth watching for their creativity alone.
Good music hasn't gone away & it isn't hidden; the _marketing_ just focuses too much on aesthetics, _same as it always has._

Who is listening this in 2024?

Me. Missing the 80s 😢.
I just saw he had a birthday jan 30th so I got on a kick. Loving it
I’m listening in 2029
TOTALLY ME
I would love to go back to 1986 before the world went stupid.

Sure, it was well before world wars, holocaust and nuclear bombs threatening the world... stupid nostalgia...
@@jpjunk4789 you referring to the 80s or the early nineteen hundreds?
It was awesome

Please put Phil Collins in the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame already. He seriously deserves it. All his songs are great and have meaning. Peter Gabriel was inducted twice once with the band Genesis, in 2010 and in 2014 as a solo artist. Phil Collins deserves that honor also as a solo artist.

They haven't already jezz
Agreed. Hurry hurry before he passes. He seems to be coming to the end. 😢
He should have been in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. That man’s an icon!!❤❤🎉🎉
I can't believe he's not already in the Hall of Fame.
They don't make songs like this anymore 😢Phil Collins and Genesis absolutely amazing ❤️
I think there are still songs out there like this, but people just don’t appreciate them anymore like in this era.
I miss 80s and the sanity…
That's what I mostly play in my car. 80s music forever !
Take me home to the mid '80's just for a couple of days please. I just wanna watch Joe Montana play for the 49ers one more time. Watch the Celtics Vs Lakers. Have a Winchell's doughnut. See my Grandparents one more time. Go to my old western themed McDonald's and have a McDLT. Play with my childhood dog Maggie. Play baseball in the backyard with my brothers and neighbors. Watch an original airing of Night Court. Say hi to my friend Billy (he got in the middle of bar fight trying to help his friend like a year after high school and lost his life). Ride my bike up to Tower Records and buy some cassettes. Back then all I wanted to do was be a grownup. If only I knew.
This is the most awesome and relatable post I’ve ever read.

I was 23, wide eyed, totally excited about the future, and I was on my first flight to the US. It was on a TWA, smoking section of course, and this song was playing on one of the radio stations on offer. I can't describe the feeling I was experiencing, I remember it being sunny, cheerful, and just happy. Every time I hear it now I am transported to that moment. I've had a great life in the US, it has been home since. But I do wonder sometimes what life would've been like if I had stayed in Europe.
Do you regret leaving Europe?
@@KC-td8um Not so much regret but wonderment. Life there in the 80s was wonderful as a young student.

My son, born in 2000, loved his music but unfortunately I never did get him to see Phil perform live. This is my, song…. Take me home, to see the old farm once again where I grew up, to talk to my mum and dad one more time, to see my brother one more time, before he rode of on his motorcycle, never to come back again…. No Jacket Required dominated the radio for months. Along with the fact that even though all of the 80's were great I think the main part was 83 to 88. Just of massive onslaught of music.😊😊

One of my favorite pieces of music. Phil Collins and Genesis are legendary.
There are certain 80’s songs that give me an overwhelmingly painful and bittersweet sense of nostalgia. This is definitely one of them.
Same here. It’s definitely bittersweet. Those memories make me cry. At times I’m not sure if I should be happy or sad about them. But I then stop and tell myself “Be happy. You had those moments, those folks, those places… And that. That is okay. Preciously hold the amazing memories.”😢☝🏽❤️❤️❤️
Just like the end of this video he is happy.🥰

I was 20 when this song came out. The best time in my life. The melody makes me want to go back there to the happy days, and it's so beautiful it makes me cry.
This melody is a real masterpiece. It has a sound that makes you feel the whole planet is united in a magic nostalgic way.

YEUPZ'.....I WAZ' 12???? OBSESSIONZ🌹👔!!!!
I'm 20, and this song has been carrying me throughout my childhood pratically.
I'm 41 with a deep sense of nostalgic depression.
Whilst I never listened to this song when I was in my younger years, I had noticed that my Father had this album maongst many of his records.
I finally discovered this gem several years ago and it gives me a deep sense of wistful longing.
I want to simultaneously cry tears of joy and sadness, and I really want to go back to the 80s, even though I keep telling myself that it is impossible and that nostalgia is just part of the exploratory journey of self-discovery that is life, for one and all.
Despite all of that, the longing deep within me is a constant.
The 80s had the best music!
No Jacket Required was such a brilliant album. The 80s had the best music and such great memories.

Hello Phil, many, many decades ago my father told me he wanted this song played at his funeral. When we played it for him in 2012 it was so fitting. I understood. Thank you.✌
Thanks for liking and listening to my songs, Thanks for your love♥️ and moral support. I hope you have been well entertained over the years?
I'm actually requesting this song to be played at my funeral. This song has touched me in many ways throughout my life, it has helped me deal and understand situations with a river of tears running down my face. Thank you for the words in this song and all the others , for helping me say what I couldn't get out of my mouth. I love that when I listen to this song, I close my eyes and it takes me Home.
Thanks for being the best fans possible♥️kindly note that you can send me a mail via my google address just by adding lvoco (to my full Names) and that’s makes up my google mail address. Looking forward to receiving your mails.
