Mr Slow hand and the Drummer
So that's Eric Clapton in this video, and I still had doubts whether it was him or not 🤔. Thank you for your confirmation 😉 Grettings from Poland.

1 of my favorite videos. I love 💘 his music. Soon as I thought that I want to listen to AC/DC Highway to Hell.
I have watched this video over 100 times and I still love the intro and the humor and most of all the timelessness of this awesome song.
Oh yes....I sang to my self all night and had to find it
This is not a song. This is a masterpiece. Thank you Phil for your talent...!!!
What a nice comment! That's right!
Or both??
Indeed!
The video is great too.

Always come back to Phil Collins. It never gets old and this song hits hard.

A truly great artist
My favourite male singer ever
"I know in my heart of hearts I know I'm never gonna hold you again!" That line makes me cry every time. I'd much rather die than not hold my beautiful wife ever again.
Phil Collins singing, Eric Clapton on guitar, it don’t get any better, Phil’s hauntingly sounding love ballads have been classics that will last forever and a day………..
Dont forget chester on drums.. Hes a legend aswell
And leland!👌
And chester!😊
I believe it was Pino Palladino who played the bass on the recording and it's brilliant. Just an amazing bass line. That does appear to be Lee Sklar on the video though.
I never even knew that was Clapton lmao - no wonder I love this song so much

the participation of Eric Clapton was just insane. So sad, so melancholic, so painful. Hurts a lot.
2024 anyone listening to this masterpiece Phil Collins is a legend I’m glad I spent my adolescence listening to his music
As someone who started highschool in 1984 I can say the music and the videos now are truly treasures. Friends we are losing these musical legends each day that passes. Keep the music alive.
Agreed 💯
*Its 2022 and we're here again. The song is a timeless masterpiece!*

His ex wife is being a horrid gold digger. I know he made his bed, but she's soiled it with hatred. While living in his home and being married to an even younger gold digger! I hope she reaps what she sewed!
@@lwats285the judge recently kicked her out of the home and basically said 'Enough is enough!'. Orianne is a horrid woman and Phil shouldn't have hooked back up with her but he probably did it for his kids but I am glad he's finally separated himself from that pumped up leech of a gold digger.

Uncle Phil never disappoints... Still get chills to this masterpiece. ❤
Eric Clapton is as much of a star in this song as Phil Collins is. His playing is phenomenal.
If you want a comparison that even Eric would appreciate, it's Duane Allman and Wilson Pickett playing "Hey Jude"
I love the sound Eric makes with the acoustic guitar!
He is magical
Love them both and so excited to have my tickets to see Eric Clapton in Sept in Houston. Hope COVID doesn't stop it.
I only noticed him they even say his name
Phil Collins was inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame with Genesis. But he deserves to be inducted separately. He’s sold over 200 million records, won eight Grammys, Oscar & two Golden Globe Awards. He is amazing artist, drummer and song writer. His voice and style of singing is timeless.
One of the best moves in his career was to add the Earth, Wind, and Fire horns for some of his hits.
Agreed, but maybe it's best to keep distance from 'the establishment' these days
you'll be in my heart from Tarzan is amazing.
He also won an Oscar!
And he has a beautiful daughter , too ...
Phil Collins dominated my youth! I'm forever thankful to him. There will never be another!
When I hear this it brings me back to my youth and the 1980's!

Agreed love Phil great singer 👍
Phil Collins is one of the most underrated singers in history. Yes he's a drummer turned linguist but he is an excellent singer and his songs touch generations.
he won oscars and grammys and sold #1's and certified platinum with his albums. i would not call that underrated. and you're right with the fact that he touched many generations.
So true. Any band knows how hard it is for the singer to make a proper cover of a Phil Collins song, it's quite impossible to not sound amateurish by trying it. It's like any Freddie Mercury's song.
Phil Collins is very underrated as a singer compared to the recognition he has as a drummer or a songwriter. Maybe because it seems so effortless for him.
Se lo conoció como el hombre orquesta un genio

Amazing and beautiful song that I keep coming back to. Bravo.
This is one of those perfect songs, Phil Collins voice along with Eric Clapton's best sounding performances.
This song reminds me of my father and how poor we were at that time, we didn't even have enough to eat but this music always accompanied us, Phill was my father's favorite singer, I always dreamed of taking him to one of his concerts and to my 30 years I bought him the flight, ticket and stay in Lima Peru for one of his last concerts, I fulfilled my promise, when I surprised him my father was the happiest man on earth he knew it was an impossible dream to achieve and I know it I turned 🤩 thank you Dad for everything and for show me such beautiful music. Sorry for my poor english😁
Great story

A beautiful story. Great you could do this for your Dad.

Awsome song!
Well there are some very good artists around, however not many. I get your point though, most contemporary “music” is crap but maybe we’re about to see a change, let’s hope so.
Eric Clapton is not playing on the guitar. He's just singing together with Phil. It,s amazing like it sounds. I am on my knees.
It’s weird they list him on the track credits as playing guitars in this track.

I’m getting to be a bit old, and I’ve been listening to Phil Collins since I was a child. This is my favorite song of his, and it still puts tears in my eyes. I miss Mr. Collins being active as in years past, but I do understand. We all are getting older. I do hope that he’s still doing well, wherever he may be. God Bless you Phil Collins.
Hey- looks like you are a big fan - you must read his biography- not dead yet you would love it!!
Im 45 and same here, I think I was 3 or 4 that I can remember his songs. Sadly these songs today don’t have the true heart and soul that was put into making music like they did back then. It’s all auto tune and added singers or instruments nowadays. Where is the heart and soul of making good music? It’s dead now. These young kids listen to crappy music now with no real meaning behind it.
Yo tengo 46 y cuando lo escucho no me canso de escucharlo, es súper emotivo, muchos recuerdos...

I wonder if Phil has ever truly been recognized for his supremely spectacular, self deprecating sense of humor!
This song has always been a heart-wrenching masterpiece, but Phil allowing lighthearted potshots to be taken at his actual career is pure comedy gold!!
Eric: _”He used to be the drummer in a really good band and, when the singer left, he took over.”_
Jeffery: _”Lemme ask you something: How good could he be if he’s back playing drums again?”_
And of course Phil, who has actually turned in some really great performances in films, puts on an intentionally bad Southern drawl!
When criticized, his response: _”No one ever said I could act! He said I could sing!”_

It's sad to see Phill now looking old, all the great musicians and singers are now either dead or old, the music being produced now is not going to last, music like this is timeless
Growing old gracefully. Better than going under the knife.
The same amount of quality songs that survive from previous generations will survive from today's music. Shitty songs from the 80s just don't get played anymore. Shitty songs from today will also die away.
@@adrianspeeder their is no where near as much quality music being made today, the library of quality music will be written in about 30 years when time has decided what's good and what's not.
