I have so much respect for these guys that can make do with what little they have. We are so spoiled here in this country; something is a little worn, we throw it out and buy a new one. These guys are the REAL mechanics.
Replacing the springs helps with clutch chatter. Since it takes a lot of labor to pull out a transmission and clutch assy., should really replace the friction material even if it's still got a little life left.
Back in the day, this was very common. The men in my family survived the great depression by making do with what they had on hand. They could not afford new parts so they renewed what they had with the tools they had in their possession, which was not much. Everything was rebuilt until it could not be rebuilt again. That is one of the reasons they were America's greatest generation.

You really should film the custom gun Smiths that Peshawar and Pakistan are known for. Then you would get a lot more views because people love that stuff.
It woul dhave been interesting to see what the fault was and how he repaired it. As it is, it just looks like he just disassembled, brushed a few parts and then reassembled the clutch plate.
He repaired the springs in the clutch but there is no more actual friction material on the clutch surface
Very good job very nice skill worker thank you very much
that's his mate down the road's job
The can change it .
lol comments under yours XD
It's got about 6 - 12 months left in the friction material I'd say.

Not they are not....they didn't replace the friction material ..they statered with a steel disk and ended with a slightly cleaner steel disk.
He is a real recycler
@@Nog311 as you can see the friction material is still good, only a spring problem

They were broken thus jolting the truck upon clutch release
That’s what I was thinking.

Похоже и у нас скоро так будет. Покупать новое не сможем, всё чинить будем.
С таким ростом цены на бензин скоро и чинить ничего не нужно будет, народ просто пешком ходить начнёт забыв про автомобили :)

and he used the same worn-out clutch lining?

Poor people,,, dont they realise, like brake lining material, clutch lining dust is carcenogenic.. Working it everyday is death row.
You might notice in all these videos you never see any worker older than about 28.
What saddens me is imagine how much potential is not being used in people all over the world, if I was wealthy I'd seek these people out.

Unbelievable talent! I had no idea you could do that. Very impressed. I wouldn’t do that but to each their own

I was really hoping to see the friction material being replaced but those usually involve asbestos.
Not anymore, they use ceramics and synthetic materials, like for brake pads and shoes.
Or used since the 90’s, though no doubt the poorer countries kept them in circulation longer.
And not a snap on tool in sight.Amazing.
I didn't get what was the issue in the first place... I think that this one was just for show.
