    Star Citizen is an open development, crowd funded project from Cloud Imperium. Consisting of 2 games, Squadron 42 a single player, story driven campaign putting you in the middle of the Vanduul attacks as an up and coming UEE Navy pilot, and Star Citizen, a highly detailed
    first person MMO set within a persistent universe where there are no limits. This includes, space, and ground aspects, massive spaceships with full interiors and interactions, a full dynamic economy which reacts to the players actions allowing for anything you can imagine.
    It is all being built on the StarEngine (a modified version of Amazon's Lumberyard Engine).
    Please bare in mind that this is heavily WIP and in an alpha state in which much of the foundational tech to make it a reality is still being developed. Both games do not have set release dates yet but you can play the alpha build for the PU MMO which makes consistent progress
    with quarterly patch releases throughout the year.

      I was soo lost those days, didn't do my research had a laptop that barely ran port o and especially not happy at area 18. Pretty much built my PC for SC. Still miss over clocking weapons turning the Aurora into something nasty.

      Same. ​@@TwixxorrI'd walk around my ship and wish it could fly. Then go climb into my SIM Pod and play AC.
      We also used to talk about how one day we'd have org meetings in our Revel and York hangar meeting areas on the 2nd floor. Guess those aren't happening, huh?

      I wonder how many people are on 2nd PC built for SC and need to build again for what's coming. For example, 3.23 is using 62% of 64gb RAM. That is a very crazy number for today..

    The best way to encourage ground vehicle usage is with weather. If you have an outpost that you can drive to and a base you can land at but the area between the outpost and that base have massive electrical storms in the area, then it forces you to not be able to fly in there and use a ground vehicle to drive there. Situations like that.

      @@Jewifer333x2 Terrain limitations HARMS vehicles not helping them. And certainly doesn't force someone to NOT use a ship & to use a ground vehicle, which is the point.
      One of the few good/reasonable ways to force someone out of their ship & into a ground vehicle is with weather.
      Another would be AA turrets, but those always have counters. There's no counter for weather.

      @@Zeoran to an extent yes, but if the area next to the objective has a road big enough for say, a rover or an APC but not enough room for a ship that has good enough stats to destroy AA turrets to land, then it becomes applicable to use a ground vehicle. With ground vehicles being a thing, it would also give a reason to have NPCs patrolling outside of bunkers and such.

      I already had this situation with Reclaimer few times. Went to new babbage to store it but the storm was so severe that i couldnt precisely land the ship in the hangar and it was funny as shit forcing me to land elsewhere and wait for storm to pass because i was lazy to QT to hurston

      Weather and cave locations having a long access tunnel. Roads and better vehicle physics would be needed though as currently any obstacle can make you explode. Permanent storms at the poles would be very nice for instance.

    I think it would be neat for future star system to be void of buildings and infrastructure. Allow players to fight for control of the planet/moon and build the cities and space stations. Allow players to build the jump gate connecting the systems similar to how the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj were opened back in the day.

      @@Korrack Why would it? As a solo player now you aren't trying to take over stations or build new ones. You just take missions and go from point A to point B. There would be no difference in the way you play now.

    If you step back, and take an overall view of where this game started, and where it is now, you can see the craftsmanship and dedication to creating an amazing experience for players. I bought in 3 years ago, and haven't played very much but I will start to play seriously, once personal hangers hit the PU.

    CIG should make the high grade cargo jobs more randomly available- while we play test. Often the advanced missions have failed or glitched and go unrecognized - as less persons have been able to test and provide direct/indirect feedback on reputation locked features

    13:00 - In my opinion, they're only going to do cargo hauling and mining correct if there's going to be supply chain bottlenecks that will cause fluctuations in the pricing and supply of items in various planets and systems.

      That has been the plan for a while, got to see if it works out as they intended. The Quantum system is what would bring that but thats been on hold for a while, supposedly needing server meshing. They stated that they'll talk about it again later this year so fingers crossed. :)

      @@cmdr_thrudd They also need to create an information network, almost like the internet itself, where players can commodity boards with last reported buy/sell values of commodities at major locations, and as well as the ability to "call the management" of individual outposts, stations, or cities to see what's in demand along with prices.

    10 minutes (probably a lot longer than that) for 4,250 aUEC huh? Doesn't sound like they balanced anything in cargo to be worth it, yet again. Let's face it, when doing bunkers in 10 minutes nets me many times that amount PLUS loot which gives you even more, why do cargo? Even bounties you can chain to be faster and will pay more. CIG drops the ball again! We'll see how this actually plays out when they put it in the game, but whoever is balancing the pricing for cargo just doesn't seem like they are good at their job.

      Because some people are playing to chill out for an hour or two, not to grind cash. It sounds cliche, but most of my time in game is spent just flying around and checking out locations. Not every precious moment has to be optimized for money or reputation. SC can be a great social hub. Go have a party on the beach of an alien world. It's a game, not a job.

      Keep in mind that the algorithm they are developing for cargo will eventually be utilized for all professions. The main takeaway is what is taken into consideration when determining a payout.

    I hear some crusader ships were given atmosphere flight change. I am going to dust off my MSR. I hope that the MSR can punch out of the Atmosphere quickly. I mean it's supposed to be a fast ship.... seriously. Gradual speed is worthless so quoting me top speed is also worthless. It needs to get to top speed quickly. Not act like a fat whale of a child in a 100 meter dash.

    It's sad that missions aren't ship based. Like when you are aboard a certain type of ship you only get certain missions. I like to think it would work like taxis in gta. You get in taxi and can do taxi missions.

    If using a C2 it costs 8m to fill it with RMC and you net a profit of 1.8m UEC however you sometimes have to wait a significant period in between sales of lots due to the demand in some places being silly low. However, if you do the same with Beryl it takes about 1.8m to fill the C2 and nets about 417k in profit.

    My fear with rep and cargo missions is what happens if I lose tons of cargo to a pvp encounter? Will people not complain about taking a massive rep hit if their inability to complete their delivery is due to pirates or is it like a "you took the risk, you accepted the responsibility" type of situation.

    It'll be interesting to see what they do with Data Running, especially when other systems are added where normal communication arrays will not be able to get data through (you can't message or download data from Stanton to Terra and the like).

    I hope these cargo missions set a new minimum for more profession missions.
    Also, I really want to see player made missions. More than just beacons, but hey, I'll pay you X to deliver this to said location, or better yet, trading. It would be great to be able to sell cargo to players. You go out and mine or salvage a bunch and then store it all at a terminal, but since you don't have a large ship, you sell the lot to someone that can just simply deliver it from a station to planet in their large ship.

    Stanton is Low security. Not High security. That's why it's next to a lawless system. The UEE has a presence but it's not controlled by them. It's a Corporate controlled system.

    This may never happen, but starting a player similar to your Zero to Hero series on a planet/moon surface to explore the surface, salvage and sell to make money IMO is a great way to learn and, if they ever introduce a leveling system, level up your character to then get the skills necessary to be able to traverse neighboring moons and then ultimately, the entire system. For me personally, this is the way to play the game and would love to see that introduced.

    Loving the cargo update look. Sounds like it'll be great for the smaller ships as well, as many ships have uselessly small SCU hold (Like 300i series, Syulen, etc) at the smaller sizes. With this, those tiny starter ships could be used for the first/last hop trips to carry a few SCU of mining supplies and ore between the minor outposts and local hub, while the medium classes of ships like the freelancers and early hull series would go between the distro hub to the LEO as they carry several outposts worth of cargo, and largest ships like the C2, Cat, and Hull C would go between the LEOs carrying entire planets worth of cargo. Even larger ships like the unreleased Hull series would be interstellar haulers, carrying entire star systems worth of cargo through the jumpgate network stopping off at the jump points.

      It's over before it began. I've spent too much time researching CIG and the broken aspects of this game.
      Anyone willing to do a bit of research knows it's going down in flames 2025, unless CIG pulls the greatest miracle of game development history.

    Looking forward for this patch.just wish they will fix the Hull C, not sure about the manual loading tbh and will auto loading still be a thing for a fee..great video as always.

      In the chinese bar citizen CR seemed to get kinda upset about learning that the Hull C is bugged and said he *expected* it to be fixed by 3.24 bc 3.24 is a cargo patch. Seems like devs will get some fire under their ass for this bug fix lol

    Some of the level design comments CIG made were concerning. They essentially said that if a bug breaks something in game, they have to fix each location individually. There is no modularity.
    That's inconvenient but doable with the small number of locations we have now, but eventually we will have 50-100 systems. Having a bug break all the doors in game and having to fix each and every location one at a time won't be viable.

      Even 10 systems is extremely unrealistic, at this point. It will literally be 2954 by the time they live up to their promises.
      Plus the fact that a server cannot even handle a single system, and server meshing tests have been absolute miserable failures over and over.

    Wow, Just saw on my news feed that star citizen is being forced to pay an ex-employee 27k euro based on a discrimination claim. Didn't expect to wake up to that today lol

      They moved their studios in GB and lost a massive amount of staff, and the position openings only grow on their website.
      There's also very suspiciously ZERO leaked footage of any sort of SQ42 gameplay, and I don't think they've even got a small portion of that game developed, yet. Every single major game publisher always has leaks nowadays, and for there to be absolutely none in 12 years is hard to comprehend.
      All gameplay footage is absolutely identical to star citizen, even the weapons we already have. The only difference is the cinematics, and they're all BULLSHIT.
      2025 is going to be an interesting year of realizations for the community, especially the ones simping real hard for CIG

    Blows my mind that they programmed in 43 minutes of cargo loading time into their missions as if 43 minutes of moving boxes around with a tractor beam is even remotely entertaining. Say you have four hours to play, almost a quarter of that time is eaten up loading cargo in this example. Once the "newness" factor wares off cargo loading is going to become a tedious chore.       I mean, the animation feels very similar to the wormholes from Eve, but you're also dealing with something that has been created to act as a simulation to our current science's models of what the event horizon of one might look like...of course it's going to look "cliche"

    Particularly good is terrible optimization, impossible missions due to bugs, lack of balance and an incredible number of floating bugs anywhere in the game.

    Really I thought that Moby glass-based missions were just a shortcut early days. Honestly, this should be more like the Witcher 3 where there’s maybe job postings at a specific location that you have to go up and look at then you can accept from the list. Or stumble across an NPC character who has a quest line. This picking from The Moby glass to do generic randomly generated admissions isn’t very engaging in my opinion . How do you receive missions and how you are rewarded they should be looking at other MMO‘s or RPG. Anyway, that’s just my opinion.

    CIG relies too heavily on elevators that can break easily. They definitely should add backup stairs and which will not only give us a way to get around when the elevators do break.
