Am I the only one really curious about the censored spot in the bedroom?
PS, really awesome video. Very inspiring and a great way to walk down the memory lane and breathe life into your old videos. Love the idea and the execution.
Less than 10 minutes in, you have given me alot of food for thought!
Inspiration on overload! Thank you. 63 yr old f, self (trial and error) taught! Live this video!
Hey everybody, Kelly makes baskets!
Oh really? That is nice. He could have mentioned that^^
Are they for sale?
I freaking LOVE this video idea. Other makers need to do this as well! Would be amazing to see more of BurbonMoths stuff!
Thank you!
Hotdog table! That thing has been a personal inspiration for me so many times (i.e. it gets me to add personal flair to otherwise traditional projects)
Man you didn't even have to say this wasn't intended on being a brag video. I knew right away, dude you built 80% of the furniture and furnishings in your home!!! Also that cherry built in beverage bar is so dope!!! my favorite piece in your home.
Wow, i’ve been dreaming recently about making my own furniture in the future. None of that ikea stuff where you argue with your partner over the smallest things. This video definitely inspired my by showing what’s possible!
I really didn't think you were showing off or were bragging, David, I just thought: "Wow, that [ insert any of those projects names here ] looks cool, I'm gonna try to make that too!" 😄
I don’t think there’s any other maker whose house tour video I’d want more. You’ve been my favorite since the beginning. Your artistic style mixed into your woodworking is right up my alley! Thanks for all the amazing inspiration!
Agree with all the comments here saying it did not come across as a bragging kind of video at all! It was so interesting to see all your pieces through the rooms of your house. Your style has shone through all of your work and you present it with a nice sense of humor on top! It was touching to see the effort you put into your Dad's pool cues.
Mix-n-Match-n-Make-it-Work! I love how you have tastefully brought it all together to make it look wonderful. No kidding. I also love that you have shown the person behind the work shop that gives a look into you as a “real” person when you are not in a video. Thanks a bunch!!😊
I love watching your older videos where you appeared mortified at talking to the camera compared to the newer ones where you are definitely in your own great groove. Thanks for being such an awesome inspiration!
Heh, "buy a new tv and it sits on top of the old tv' is such specific thing for our generation I love it. My family definitely did that and at some point we have a B&W tv on top of a color tv for audio since the color tv's speaker went out. Thanks for sharing a tour of your amazing house and projects!
that hallway cabinet is everything. it is the perfect piece
also the drop leaf table is fantastic
Your not bragging dude your proud of the awesome stuff you made. It's like my house full of items I made. I think it's way more personal an connected space that way. Very cool stuff neighbor.
The humor in this video deserves its own video. 🤣
This was such a great tour. I can’t believe that I’ve watched almost every one of those videos. When I first discovered your channel, I was spending my days (and nights) developing websites and apps. Five years later, I’ve got a renovated one-car garage crammed full of digital fabrication and woodworking tools. Luckily, I haven’t made a website or app in quite a long time now. Ha! Thanks for the inspiration over the years.
Very cool tour of the house. It's awesome to see so many projects of yours in harmony with each other in your home! Looking forward to hear and see all about your office/studio :D
*Jimmy baby voice* “but I don’t have a house…”
I first subscribed or your channel when you were in your basement shop. So seeing all of these past projects was a trip down memory lane for me. Thanks for sharing!
I’m inspired by every video I’ve seen you do (working on your back catalog). I especially like two pieces: the “dog stuff” cabinet and the wooden Trapper Keeper (because all the cool kids had them back in the day)!
I love all the cherry. It’s probably my favorite. Mixing with walnut is definitely my favorite mix
The perfect drum corps name doesn’t exi-
never mind!
Priceless! 🤣🤣
I had forgotten about the Campaign Bookshelf and it’s back on the list of things I want to make. Quick question: Does Kelly make baskets?
hahaha! Good question! I'll look into it!
"I really like drinking.." ...me too, Dave. Me too.
I mean there is probably a reason he used to be " The Drunken Woodworker" 🤣
Love that Wally has his own closet!
That's exactly how I took it inspiring me with your cool wood working, been following you for a long time brother thanks for the video...
Thank you Richard!!
Good to know I am not the only one who says "when I have more time" or "when budget allows". Life gets so busy, it's hard to make room for hobbies, but somehow we have to fit them in to our lives. Thanks for showing us the tour of your creations. I especially love the pieces that have function and form...and whimsy.
I really love how all these pieces go so well together! It gives a sense of class that I really enjoy seeing, and they all give me a lot of ideas for things I want to do in the shop!
I am a huge fan and love all the videos. But I really love the fact that you have a moth man work of art hanging on your hallway wall.🦋
Loved this video! I like seeing how you've put your projects to practical use.
Thanks for sharing your home and projects David!
This is so much fun to see all the amazing pieces you made in your home.
This is such a treat.
Thank you for sharing.
I love how you've filled your home with projects! Been a while since I visited, so I have some catching up to do! Cheers!
Can’t wait to see the record player stand thing with the bin to flip through! I’ve been mulling over the same idea. Great tour. Always awesome videos here!
Love it when I hop on CZcams and there is a new Make Something video. Love your work David
So many cool pieces of work. Can’t wait to see what you will build next.
Seems an awesome house to live in, thanks to share all these cool ideas.
People with Teckel are just awesome people in fact.
Thanks for welcoming us into your home, not many do that. Awesome to see all the projects you have made being used where they were designed to be. Also a great review of your back catalogue. I will definitely be making some of the smaller pieces. Thanks again.
This’s one of the best videos out there, this video bring me memories when it was a time that peoples will build their own houses and their own furniture. That is why old furniture that was done with love back in the days still standing, I can’t say the same thing from furniture that you buy at your furniture store.
Lobe this video, love you builds and this video is a inspiration to me. There is nothing more satisfying that walking to a home where you build everything. I’m 100% sure your future descendants will appreciate the history of every single piece.
Wonderful video. Thank you for the tour, David. That's my favorite part of woodworking. Making custom things for our home.
Great video! I especially like the kitchen booth table. The fact that the drop leaf was originally intended for function but has since become primarily for esthetics.
Really loved this tour. Just made me realize how long I've been watching you.
Absolutely loved this video David. Good of you to open up your home and give people a glimpse of the man and the lifestyle behind the channel. I hope this wins you a lot more followers. Thank you for sharing your time and your expertise. Cheers 🥃 😉
So many projects!!! Fantastic video.
I love the tour. Your idea to show all your project in their space put a great perspective. It give us a good reminder to keep this in mind when you do a project.
Your wonderful pieces make your house a home. You have great vision for the future of your space. Nicely done!
for artwork - we collect art from places we travel made by artists from that area. It's way cooler than keychains.
Great video! Its very satisfying to use furniture you made every day. Also like how you showed art from other makers. Loved the Llamas!
Its cool to see what happens to past projects from makers and their unique homes and situations. I'm not into wood working but love to watch videos from wood workers in the hopes that someday I'll be able to try and get into it
Lots of great stuff. Nicely done.
David, great video, lots of projects I remember watching your videos of, and a few I missed but may have to search out. The bowls your brother turned are really nice, it would be pretty cool to see the two of you do a video together.
Getting back into woodworking after a couple of years of shop anxiety. I find your style of work relatable and am so glad to find another zany worker like me! Keep up the great builds and content !!
You are INSPIRING. Thank you. I’ve taken into wood working , and I’ve watch your videos . I’ve built lots of picture frames, desks for my kids , tool stands, work bench ….etc.Great job. You are down to earth. Keep up the good work.Love your instructional wood working videos. Once again, I must say your positive energy and your love for making things has rubbed on me . By the way, I’m a photographer so maybe you can come up with some sort of wooden box made out of wood to store camera gear in. 📸 👍🏻
I’m starting up a side business building planters boxes while my main job is landscaping and irrigation. I know that planters boxes alone aren’t enough to make a living on, so I’m looking into building furniture as well. This video is the first one I looked at to see what could be done, and it’s actually spot on to what I was looking for.
Really nice projects by yourself and Kelly!
You have done so many fun, out-of-the-box and informative videos that I've enjoyed and learned from over the last three years, and I'm grateful for every of them. (In particular, the picture frame sled; so elegant) But this video... THIS ONE... is my all-time favorite. The reality is so, so inspiring: over time in the real world, projects and objects work well... or less well. But they all had an original functional and/or artistic purpose. And today, every one serves as a moment of visual and functional delight, and sometimes knowledge of what could be even better another time. Thanks very much, David, for welcoming us into your home to see projects that have worked well and especially what has worked less well. Very, very helpful and enormously inspirational.
Thank you for sharing your house with amazing projects!
Very cool! Awesome to see all these projects in real life being put to good use!
This video is awesome. Love your home and how all your projects are furnishing it. You've inspired me to get in my shop and make more things for my house.
Thank you for sharing your home tour! This video is very inspirational and makes me want to get back into the shop soon.👊
Loved the tour video! It was great seeing all the things you've made, and things made for everyday needs, etc. And I LOVED the cameos by Wally! He's adorable, would love him to appear more! I saw him take stairs up to the couch, were they a project too?
Love your channel!
Great cool video of all your projects in your house! As a toymaker I was pleased to see some wooden toys from your grandfather!
Awesome tour, loved it!
That was inspiring and not at all a brag video. I love Kelly’s baskets and I think your two styles of art are very complimentary.
Great video David. Comes across exactly how you intended. Thank you for making it!
I think this is a huge reason most folks follow you - you actually use the things you make! It's really fun seeing them in your house and remember "oh yeah I saw that video!"
Thank you for sharing your projects in your house. This video has inspired me to do more projects in my house.
Love this video and your house is so beautiful. I love mid century modern so love your couch and other items. Didn't think you were bragging - loved seeing all the items that you and your family have made and use. PS your dog is very cute!!
So inspiring. I want so many of those books in the office!
Enjoyed the video tour of your home showing the pieces you and Kelly have made. Some really cool pieces. Thanks for taking the time to produce the video.Y'all take care and God bless.
Your campaign bookshelf gave me a design idea for a DIY standing desk. I've been looking for a way to make my own piece to put on top of my desk to switch between sitting and standing, and that design may be just right.
Celebratory drink at the end reminded me of the old Drunken Woodworker days.
Thanks! Fun video. Lots of cool ideas.
Fun retrospective and a neat way to show how you have actually been using the things you've made. Glad to say I've watched the vids for nearly all of these. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Seth!
love this video! not boasting, you have a lovely home and great to see your dog!
Talk about personal projects David. Not in the least this was taken as a bragging video. Your catalogue of stuff you’ve made is incredible man. Inspiring? Definitely yes. Now I got to almost thoroughly know the level of craftsmanship you put in your work. Thank you
I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing
Ordered your new book , Very cool wood working tour great memories , I enjoy making furniture for our home-The sofa table and kitchen island our my favorite projects
Loved the tour!!
Great video, very inspiring! So jealous of your home!
Really enjoyed this tour dude!
On your projector location, if you have access to the ceiling you could get a pull-down projector mount it is recessed in the ceiling until you need it. They are not cheap but allows the projector to be out of the way. You do some fantastic work.
Love this video man thanks for the inspiration 👍🏻👍🏻
I’ve been thinking we need to see less shop tours and have more home tours to show off the projects in their Final place. Hopefully this video will start the trend. Thanks for sharing!
That might be the best video I've ever seen you make. Very intimate...thanks for sharing.
Everything at his place is either made by him, his father, his brother or his wife. I mean how cool is that. Nice house 'excellent furniture'. I wish you all the luck in the world. Quick question "Does Kelly make baskets?
Wowers that's definitely very beautiful. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Keep making. God bless.
Well, Kelly not only makes baskets, she makes BEAUTIFUL BASKETS! Thanks for the tour!!
Keep up the good work. You've inspired me on a couple of new items. Love the mirror. 👍
If u like puzzles maybe a puzzle table for ur entertainment room. Also would love to see the barrel video
Really enjoyed this one. Definitely got some inspiration for my own house!
Woodworkers Cribs video. Good stuff buddy. Love all of your instructional videos. Thanks for sharing
The house is fantastic, thanks for sharing
Always inspiring, thank you for sharing.
Amazing house tour, some really nice creations! Love the vinyl crate! 😁
Oh hey!! I love your channel! I've gotten some good inspiration from you.
@@MakeSomething much love my friend! 🙏🏻 You maybe should update your acoustic panels for the musicians watching, with a nice wood frame! 😉👊🏻
I mean the woodworking projects are cool but that Jim Beam bottle with the handle in... that's something else!!!
This video was sponsored by Kelly’s baskets 😂
Ahaha xD
Nice video. So many cool projects! Mahalo for sharing! : )
great video, love watching you build these items. Now we get back stage access to see how their holding up and where they live in your space. This is a trend that should happen with the makers. Hats off brother. when you making the shuffleboard?
I didn't take it as a brag video. To me it's you sharing your work and videos so others can easily find them and make their own. Though you do have reason to brag, you did not in any way come off that way. You and those that surround you are very talented!
