I have provided my own voice over (I am NOT a professional, so you'll need to forgive me the fact I can't act) for my player character since they are silent / mute in the game. No commentary from me whatsoever in game, all voice over I put in game is strictly lines my character says or thinks.

*For regular viewers: This is not a redo of my previous playthrough, it is the SAME playthrough. I have simply added my own personal recording for my player's lines of dialogue so she is no longer silent / mute. I have also taken a small amount of artistic liberty and added a few moments of inner-monologue of things she is thinking (or sometimes says) that is not in the game, just to flesh out her personality some more over time. Hopefully it doesn't feel out of place. I'm going to be doing voice over for all 13 current episodes I recorded and then resume BG3 from there adding my voice over for all future episodes. You will not find new / different content if you've already watched all 13 episodes of my series so far (other than my added voice over and few custom lines I throw in).*

Quite the WTF? moment for me as a player, too. Because something like that actually happens in another game, but there can't be a direct connection.
Was that a memory? Someone else's memory? A vision? A fantasy? What does it mean? And why am I so fascinated (facial expression)? Am I dead and in Hell? But I feel pretty much alive, and the blood doesn't seem to be mine. (Also gave me the excuse to have a look at my male protagonist in all his glory... ahem...). And so on.
Loving that you're getting more confident acting out the player!
Thanks 🙂I just hope people don't find it it distracting or jarring, but so far people have been very positive on my Pillars of Eternity and Rome series, so I figure I'm at least not doing a bad job at it, which is good enough in my opinion😆
@@Hathurpersonally (as an italian) the only thing i found a bit jarring is your pronunciation of latin in Rome, which is made more obvious when the other characters speak it correctly.
@@AlesSimoncia Yeah, no surprise, I don't know any Latin (or any language other than English and a bit of French) and my pronunciation is horrendous, even when I try to repeat the way the npcs say it I often get it wrong heh. Sorry about that. I also have a hard time with the made-up names / words in Pillars of Eternity (I can never bloody get the name of Eothas right.. it doesn't help either that npcs often also pronounce it quite differently, so I'm never sure which is "right")
I was so hoping you would do this! Not sure if I should ask, but Dragon Age Origins would be a nice addition to your voice over Playlist. 😊❤
It's not a bad idea, but would have to be fairly far down my list. I'm pretty spent on Dragon Age origins, and have plenty of other projects to work on. If I do it, it wouldn't be for a long time from now. But a good suggestion nevertheless.
@@Hathur Thank you for considering it. Just a suggestion and was really just an idea depending what other projects you were working on. I've tried Playing BG3 myself, but the lack of a voiced player really ruins it for me. I understand why some game Devs do it, but it's really hard for me to play a RPG Game without a voiced player! LOL
@@bigal2688 I'm in agreement, I vastly prefer voiced player characters myself (it's why I'm doing it for Pillars of Eternity and BG3, so I can rewatch them in the future without having to try to read tiny text dialogue options while watching from my couch or bed). Initially I thought I would dislike hearing my player in my voice, but to my surprise I find I don't hate it and prefer it over the awkward silence when I watched the new version vs the original.

Great job. Your voice sounds like the one you chose. Wish I could do the same with my character, but my voice doesn't only remotely sound like Voice #7 (woman playing a male protagonist here).
I wonder how it comes that Evelyn's face is so clean... mods?
I think it's just the accent that makes me sound a bit like the character's combat voice 😆The player character has so few spoken lines in game (only ever during small exploration segments and combat, never in dialogue scenes), I wouldn't let it deter me (nor suggest letting it deter you) from providing a voice for your character if that's something you feel like doing. After the first hour or 2 of the game, the player character almost never speaks again (other than combat shouts basically).

He still speaks exploration and random lines in Act 2... but expressing his feelings, thoughts and intent... a bit long to voice over, though. Might write a story one day.
Also nice to see someone else really trying to resist. That with the voice over could be really interesting. Hope you clicked the Cultists on the Nautiloid. Can't wait to see what Evelyn makes of that...

That’s some good voice acting. I wonder if there’s going to be a Divinity Original Sin 2 walkthrough where the Custom Character speaks in the story.
Original Sin 2 is definitely high on my list of voice-over project. Though it will take me sometime to get to.
Divinity would be a bit harder to voice since the dialogue options there mostly give us a description of what was aid and not a literal dialogue.
Hell that was the reason why I initially bounced off that game years ago. Though I will buy it thanks to Baldurs Gate and being able to test it a bit on my own.
Lae'zel is SO hot in the intro. OH, you just added to the OLD, that is SO cool. You do have a very pretty voice and act your Char very well. Now I'm super excited for the rest. Great job Hathur. Thank You so much. Hope you're feeling better as the days go by. 😍🤗
Thanks, glad you like it! I'm gradually improving, still mostly in bed, but feeling a bit better each day and by the time I'm done doing voice over for all 13 episodes, I should probably / hopefully be well enough to resume BG3 (and Mass Effect 3).

Not sure what you mean. Are you asking if that's a line my character says? I don't believe so, I certainly didn't record saying that. There might be an in-game line where she says that (the PC does rarely speak in game, mostly just during combat, but there's a few rare lines where the game has commentary by the character on the environment when walking / running around... but her voice is a fair bit different from my own other than our accent, so it should be easy to tell apart as to which voice is me and which is the character's in-game voice)
@@Hathur I was teasing because everytime you click on/pick Tav/any character, they will say one of those trademark lines.

Urge has his own lines as well
