Thanks, glad you like it! I'm gradually improving, still mostly in bed, but feeling a bit better each day and by the time I'm done doing voice over for all 13 episodes, I should probably / hopefully be well enough to resume BG3 (and Mass Effect 3).

Not sure what you mean. Are you asking if that's a line my character says? I don't believe so, I certainly didn't record saying that. There might be an in-game line where she says that (the PC does rarely speak in game, mostly just during combat, but there's a few rare lines where the game has commentary by the character on the environment when walking / running around... but her voice is a fair bit different from my own other than our accent, so it should be easy to tell apart as to which voice is me and which is the character's in-game voice)

@@Hathur I was teasing because everytime you click on/pick Tav/any character, they will say one of those trademark lines. “Is that blood? No Nevermind” “I’ve got a lot in my mind, and well, in it” “Shouldn’t have wished to live in more interesting times” Urge has his own lines as well

@@kingofgrim4761 Ah gotcha, didn't realize that heh (I've only actually played as Dark Urge, still on my first playthrough)

@@Hathur ah no worries, I think the other Urge lines are like “Wretched thing… Pull yourself together…” “Behold the dance of death!” And similar. Just was curious if you did those too lol

I think it's just the accent that makes me sound a bit like the character's combat voice 😆The player character has so few spoken lines in game (only ever during small exploration segments and combat, never in dialogue scenes), I wouldn't let it deter me (nor suggest letting it deter you) from providing a voice for your character if that's something you feel like doing. After the first hour or 2 of the game, the player character almost never speaks again (other than combat shouts basically).

@@Hathur Thank you for responding, and so fast. He still speaks exploration and random lines in Act 2... but expressing his feelings, thoughts and intent... a bit long to voice over, though. Might write a story one day. Also nice to see someone else really trying to resist. That with the voice over could be really interesting. Hope you clicked the Cultists on the Nautiloid. Can't wait to see what Evelyn makes of that...

It's not a bad idea, but would have to be fairly far down my list. I'm pretty spent on Dragon Age origins, and have plenty of other projects to work on. If I do it, it wouldn't be for a long time from now. But a good suggestion nevertheless.

@@Hathur Thank you for considering it. Just a suggestion and was really just an idea depending what other projects you were working on. I've tried Playing BG3 myself, but the lack of a voiced player really ruins it for me. I understand why some game Devs do it, but it's really hard for me to play a RPG Game without a voiced player! LOL

@@bigal2688 I'm in agreement, I vastly prefer voiced player characters myself (it's why I'm doing it for Pillars of Eternity and BG3, so I can rewatch them in the future without having to try to read tiny text dialogue options while watching from my couch or bed). Initially I thought I would dislike hearing my player in my voice, but to my surprise I find I don't hate it and prefer it over the awkward silence when I watched the new version vs the original.

Thanks 🙂I just hope people don't find it it distracting or jarring, but so far people have been very positive on my Pillars of Eternity and Rome series, so I figure I'm at least not doing a bad job at it, which is good enough in my opinion😆

@@Hathurpersonally (as an italian) the only thing i found a bit jarring is your pronunciation of latin in Rome, which is made more obvious when the other characters speak it correctly.

@@AlesSimoncia Yeah, no surprise, I don't know any Latin (or any language other than English and a bit of French) and my pronunciation is horrendous, even when I try to repeat the way the npcs say it I often get it wrong heh. Sorry about that. I also have a hard time with the made-up names / words in Pillars of Eternity (I can never bloody get the name of Eothas right.. it doesn't help either that npcs often also pronounce it quite differently, so I'm never sure which is "right")

The 20 minute gameplay video today they showed reduced my worry a bit (I HATED the trailer, it did not have any of the vibe or feel of past games.. it felt like League of Legends / Fortnite etc with it's cartoony look / feel.. I utterly hated it).. Fortunately the gameplay (at least the 20 mins shown) does not seem to carry the tone or too much of the look of the trailer and I am a bit less worried. Will definitely be playing it when it comes out, but based on Bioware's MANY problems in the past 5 years, I have concerns about the quality of it.. hopefully it turns out ok though.

@@Hathur I understand your reasons for not liking it plus the gameplay you said is abit downgraded and you aren’t wrong about the graphics so I do respect your opinion…

Eventually, but not anytime soon. The new content has been slowly coming out, but it's only a couple hours worth (in terms of story, not gameplay). Want to wait until there's a bit more.
