Even after the breakup it was not surprising that Ringo and George played on so many John solo songs. They still were friends. How you not be after knowing each other since they were literally teenagers.

The very idea toothed ejd of the Beatles is so abhorrent to me that I have to look for high things to push someone off of.

Alex actually flew out to Rishikesh and exposed Maharishi's hypocritical behaviors to the band.

I was thinking during this, that ironically, if Apple had been run with the business mindset of Klein or by him, the company would've not only made a profit but the Beatles would've STAY TOGETHER.... well longer than they did.
WHY? Because, one of the major frictions was the business and money side.
But, of course, Paul and his new in laws were right about Klein: he was going to do to the Beatles that happened to Badfinger.
Their inability to communicate and work through their issues cost far more than money:
They lost the friendship and connection which bought them together and resulted in their success in the first place.
Sad story. But, also proof that they were human. And as human beings in order to gain new things we must lose old things. We need to move on.... along a long and winding road.
Which they travelled along until being reunited. With a causality at dawn.
    David

Fact that The Beatlea went out of pocket for 1968 is absolutely insane.

Another great video! Truly! With all we know about The Beatles it’s truly amazing that they were as successful as they were and they’re timeless. John was my hero as a teen but now I think he was a jerk. However I think John would concede that later on in his life. I used to feel that Paul was a conniving, egotistical prima-donna I now feel that, although a bit egotistical, he was the driving force for the band moving beyond just a funny, clever bunch of lads that created catchy tunes to the ground breaking, brilliant band they came to be. George is fascinating. He’s a dichotomy to me; on one hand he’s the grounded, “matter of factly”, soft spoken, caring, prudent voice of reason and on the other he’s a snobbish, dispassionate, grumpy, arrogant jerk.
Ringo is Ringo. The ever steady, reliable, lovable, big hearted friend to everyone.
It’s apparent that the eternal success of The Beatles were due to the sum of the parts. If any one of these pieces were missing, the band would’ve probably been successful but not the iconic, legendary band that people will celebrate forever.
It’s an interesting idea to imagine what the band would’ve been like if any of the guys were removed or others added or survived as in the case of Stu Sutcliffe.

Here’s Comes the Sun…

John did in fact try to keep The Beatles going in late '69 - he offered Cold Turkey to the band as a potential single but the others declined. That may be the point when he thought there's no point!
