9:15 I believe this photo of John was used alongside one of Johm with recent long hair, in the News Journal newspapers in Wilmington, Del., pointing out John's haircut. And we get a relatively rare look at Beatles during their time off after their last tour.
John died and was replaced by "Fohn Fennon". This is why he seemed to undergo such a drastic change in appearance. Sadly, Fohn Fennon was later murdered by a guy who foolishly thought he was murdering John Lennon. It's like a double tragedy, because Fohn was actually a great singer and songwriter too--arguably even _better_ than John was! 😢😢
@@BugRib That's why "John" started to wear glasses around that time, to hide the fact that Fohn's eye colour didn't match that of the recently deceased John.
@@BugRib I could tell Lennon was not the same, none of them are, not just Paul. I just wonder what happened to them... I think they were all taken out by the british mafia or someone similar. They protested the war and had too much say
'66 was like a wormhole to another plane of consciousness for the band (and many others) pivotal, controversial, unchartered and the ultimate shedding of their fab four comforts. the year was a benchmark. evocatively laid out once more.
Yep around this time they started taking lsd and had been smoking cannabis for a while as well as taking amphetamines ever since Hamburg. Lsd changed their outlook on things and they took music to new places
The Revolver period, my fave. They looked cool, sounded great with Casino guitars. It was when the Jam released Start and the Taxman bass line, Paul Weller raved about Revolver, so i went out and bought it, i loved it ever since.
A major year of transition which saw the end of Beatlemania, live touring and their mop top image towards studio artists and the recording of their greatest album Revolver.
The Beatles finest year ever! I cherish the wonderful memory as an 8 year going to Bob's Records in San Fernando, California, on a beautiful early Spring afternoon, in June, 1966 with my late brother Anthony to buy the Paperback Writer/Rain Single! I played it for my parents when we got home and I knew The Beatles had progressed into another realm! I had never heard anything like it!
1966 was their last year as the original group. After this it was Sgt Pepper where they didn't really play together all that much. Then they went to India and all the drama from that. Then the white album with Ringo quitting. Then Get Back sessions where George quit. Really is remarkable they at least got it together one more time for Abbey Road
These are very good short documentaries - well written and produced. Informative and entertaining. With all the content on CZcams it rare to find something enjoyable
You could’ve mentioned that Paul initially grew his mustache to hide a small facial scar He got when he had a moped accident, which is easily viewable on the paperback writer, and rain films.
Yoko Ono was CIA. I believe if I heard right, she's really a man. The replacement Lennon was the one who hooked up with Lennon. The OG Lennon was gone by 66'. Also if you look at 70's Linda McCartney, she has an Adams apple.
Funnily enough the video I watched before this was about Hitler and talked about the mania around him in mid 30s Germany. They described it as the same as Beatle mania.
Yoko met up with Paul to see about getting song lyrics on scrap paper for a friend of hers John Cage. Paul said he didn't have any to give her, but suggested John might be able to help her.
The day of infamy was November 7,1966 when John Lennon first met Yoko Ono. That was the day before Yoko Ono's art exhibition took place at The Indica Gallery which ran between November 8 ~ November 18,1966.
I believe that 1966 was their last year at their 'peak of cool' persona. (In my humble opinion.) At the time of 9:15, I stopped watching this video when they started up with the 'new look' thing.
Revolver and Rubber Soul were both released around this time. Rubber Soul was the cannabis album and Revolver was the lsd one (tomorrow never knows is the first real acid track imo and about 20-25 years ahead of anything else).

They set the standard and wrote the blue print for the 70’s 80’s. If you listen to any of those interviews from bands of those eras they will tell you themselves The Beatles were game changers.

Totally agree!
The Beatles looked so damn cool during this period
Looks-wise, they were never quite the same once they stopped touring,
