- This video covers the three transfers of our mated spore pairings for the 2022 breeding project. The mycelium is transferred onto grain spawn for production, agar slants for long term storage and liquid culture for production after strain selection - ENJOY

this is my fav channel atm, thanks for the content.
thanks for watching! 🍄❤️
Thanks for all your hard work Gaz. Much appreciated.
So cool, i love the lengthy ones
Helpful video Gary. Thanks for your fast response and help with my questions on Etsy. I’m ready to QC my Lions Mane and Cordyceps live culture then go to grain and fruiting blocks. None of it wouldn’t be possible without these great videos.
Couldn’t find the white lid mason jars anywhere on your affiliate pages, Etsy, etc. am I missing/overlooking ?Appreciate your videos and all the info you share. Wish I still lived in Denver, I definitely would be getting your fresh mushrooms, where I live now there is no mushroom farms that are relatively close, unless you wanna drive 4 hours. Miss Denver 😢.. Mush love and respect..
we have the gray ones up in two different sizes / my friend Zach makes them I don’t have the time these days but might get back to it again 👍
TY for all your vids! They’ve been more enjoyable than many others out there.
Q. I’m an old Eco tree hugger… the masses of PP plates that have to be gone through, makes me cringe deep inside. Are there any recyclers that cater to lab peeps when it comes to having a place to send in used PP equipment for recycling?
As a Climate change major with some experience in Water resource management, often times the energy inputs required to wash, reuse, and to clean the petri dishes are exponentially higher than the water and resources of properly disposed lab material. There are glass dishes available, but again (and i say this as a large advocate against plastics but we're at a plastic evolutionary transition phase) the water and energy inputs for making the plastic and disposing of it are MUCH less than that of washing, cleaning, and reusing glass petri dishes.
I am not sure about this - I try to save and re-use as many plates as I can - my favorite way is using them for spore prints - it makes it nice to stack up for a library
Liquid cultures are a breakthrough in this regard
hi Gary, is it possible for you to teach us how to cultivate yeast? or how can we identify them?
I need more supplies but I might do a video on that
I just got a slant of reishi and could barely use a razor to get anything out . There hard af to transfer from
I might make a video on this soon
Why don't you induction sterilize, I just feel like that's alot of blades. Do you re use them?
been on the list for a while to get a bacticinerator just have other priorities
Why don't you just clean the knife between uses? Thank you for your very instructive videos
Do you Cryo your slants for long term storage?
no but I am experimenting with freeze drying with glycerol seems to work for a bit - I would love to get a cryo freezer at some point
