The perk system is what Mirage really needed, especially since you can now customize how to use your decoys. Maining him briefing in Mobile was crazy powerful since you can create decoys of your teammates and would ping enemies that simply look at your decoys.
That does seem crazy strong
Even though I rarely play mobile I miss their mobile version of the game. Devs seemed to have more freedom to make stuff there.
With regards to copying teammates specifically I also do wish Mirage can do that even if only with his ult to spice things up.
Meanwhile, cryptos perks actively hinder himself or do nothing. I don't need to scan people from farther away from the drone. It's just going to get shot from farther away. Tactical placement around corners or key pathways is more important. Bigger EMP is a detriment not a benefit. It means I have to start the EMP farther away which gives them more time to be unstunned and finish their big shield back onto everything I just did while I Rush in... And my team for sure got hit with that EMP blast...
The only slightly useful perk is that your drone comes back a little bit faster after it's shot. You already get EMP blast as about as fast as you ever need to use it. So getting it sooner just isn't helpful 80% of the time. Every single change to how you want to play crypto is worse by picking any of his perks or simply saves time. Boring and a waste.
As a Mirage Player He is indeed underrated and very powerful if thy plays him correctly

Yes, he has always been underrated. Most people don’t even know his sliding hologram tactic.
This tac refresh perk + the better res perk make mirage an actual good support character who can distract the enemy team and get ppl out safely
Yesterday i had a game that my squad won after i revived my teammates after a unwinnable battle because i cosplayed perfectly as a clone and no one bothered to shoot me
Nice dude. Love good Mirage players. I never even get mad when I myself get Bamboozled. It's just like "woah good play, even fooled me"

i do this too. when i ult, i’ll intentionally walk into walls and act like a clone, and no one pays any attention to me, thinking that im just another clone which has saved me many times from an unwinable fight
My first legend unlocked at game launch 5 years ago and has been my main ever since. Mirage has always been fun and I'm enjoying the perks 1.7mil bamboozles and counting. Honestly he always been overlooked because none of is abilities deal damage.
I got Mirage ultimate 4 times today in the fight against last team. They were so bamboozled so they stopped shooting at some point. Then it was my time to kill them from behind. I hadn't shot a single shot so they were sure I was decoy behind them. Easiest two kills of my life. My teammate shot the other opponent, cracked his armour and when he was healing I shot him down and then got easy 1vs1 against the other guy from behind.
Perfection. Just use his ultimate all the chances you get. Same goes with Q.
The biggest things mirage players can do from what I’ve seen is break line of sight when using their tactical and/or situationally play like they are the decoy for reverse psychology lol
so glad my boy mirage getting love, this man used to be my main back in the days, i still miss his cloaking ultimate to this day
I genuinely think his other level 3 perk mixed witht he ult cooldown is the better option for playing him. You can add 3 additional clones to every fight making it EXTRA chaotic.
I rarely play him nowadays, but whenever I do, I always pull some sick squad wipe or did some dirty tricks
might want to show gameplay of you getting outplayed by Mirages. It would show that he can fool better player. This video more shows you are good with your aim and positioning than the perks (limited use)
i understand getting the gameplay is hard and time consuming, but any montage of you shooting the decoys might better show the impact than you having I think only one of yours (late game) getting shot. If the perks are good, good player like yourself should be getting fooled as well. If you have recordings of that, it would be good to include in these types of perks videos.
also understand viewers only want to watch high kill games and not see you die for some reason.

A good counter argument to skilled players not getting bamboozled is actually their reaction speed working against them. Some good players will just shoot at anything that comes on screen, they have better mechanical skill than most people, but in these cases maybe they lack awareness.
I have been running mirage this ranked season and he has been great in clutch situations!
I played with a friend that picked the revive perk with a guardian angel, it was hilarious to come out of stealth with 70% of your HP (and still regenerating to 100%) and keep fighting immediately, people don't expect you to come back with so much health.
played ranked last night and had a mirage absolutely break man ankles, he didnt fight me, but i kept falling for his holograms that i never caught him (he was alone) and managed to regroup with his team after he wasted so much of our time, im convinced he's viable in pro play (in the right hands)
Mirage is just one of those characters that hard hard for most people to grasp and play with efficiently in the heat of the moment but once you can do that, and you get good at it, he is definitely an underrated character, from the looks of it especially nowadays. The update looks great. I don’t think I’m gonna be returning to Apex. I will watch you play though.
Mirage surprisingly pairs well with movement. A perfect superglide with an ult really throws people off. I’m a mirage main with 5k kills and I know there are better mirages than me but I can confidently say he is for sure underrated and really useful if used correctly.
Does the perk remain when you reach max level? I'm sure I saw that Q reset when you bamboozled the last team
I play him more than any other legends, was using the ultimate bonus for a while but the 75 hp heal is powerful when you can jump in and do it mid fight
Ive been doin super good with the 30 second plus tac refresh. I couldnt believe we won and how clutch he was. Legit started talkin bout "I AM THE BAMBOOZLER" 😂😂😂

LETS GOOOOOOOOO!!! Some Mirage appreciation finally!!!!! 1v3 teams is so much more manageable now. I’ve been playing him since his special made the decoys stand there and you didn’t even go invisible, it feels so good to have a strong mirage finally 😭😭😭

That's what I've been saying forever. Sweats will say they're too good to be bamboozled. But if you're a good mirage, you know how to play with expectations, and you can bamboozle anyone
I love starting skirmishes with his ult running an LMG + RE45, and getting back out with his ult again, and respawn any allies that go down
Great Video. I hit a nice iron sight sentinel shot on someone at Elysium earlier today. Since I cudnt actually see him going up the tower(cuz the barrell of the gun blocked my view) i just had to aim at nearly the top and just listen after he started going up and guess when to fire the shot. I had just hit a head shot b4 that and i guess i was feeling like i was getting hot and even when i hit the shot I didnt think about how good a shot it was until i had played a few more matches and got off the game
as a Mirage main I do feel like mirage is underrated because not a lot of people like playing him whether he is "complex, or difficult" but I play Him because I Love out playing or even distracting others, so mirage is my man I love playing with him on my streams and I feel like he needs more recognition.
His revive is more powerful than lifelines, much easier to get off successfully, his escapability is very good with ult. Now he gives health and run the ult and very 30 seconds. He’s actually broken
IMO Having 30s cooldown is way better
If you're a good player and know how to use those decoys he is definitely a solid legend this season 🔥🔥
I Just started playing mirage and he is crazy fun and underrated with the new perks
Mirage gets better as the matches go on. The smaller then circle gets and the more jumpy every gets, that's where he shines.
I tried mirage when perks came out and then I knew how busted he was , I have been playing anyone byt him the past few days lol
What if they buffed/reworked Mirage's tactical to so that it functions like normal but if the decoy isn't shot at, you can teleport to that decoy, at least its providing a buff or swap out the me two perk with when you get a bamboozle you get a speed boost.
I still cant get over the fact that Mirrage didnt get the naruto skin even though he is the kage bunshin no jutsu specialist
With the time perk and a gold helm he gets an ult every 25 seconds and 15 of those seconds his ult is up.
Imma try and get to gold tonight. Ill need a good team with mics.

Honestly i wish he had a perk where bamboozles can be triggered with abilities like he used to do.

You’ve cranked out an enormous amount of Apex content over the years and been a great part of the community. Something that has sometimes bothered me in these types of videos is the stated connection between the gameplay and the subject of the video.
You often start off with a great foundation and interesting point or question and follow through with a gameplay that attempts to demonstrates the idea. My issue is that whilst the gameplay itself can be interesting, it often sways too far from the main point to become an ‘appropriate’ pick chosen to highlight the theme of the video. It can feel almost lazy, as though you didn’t want to record more to find the right game for the video topic. You spent almost all of this game either without the key perk, running around or fighting from distance - I don’t think you’ve made the most of the gameplay aspect of the video to show off how good Mirage can be.
100% and the reason why I always click off these videos that are just gameplay videos with a brief introduction disguised as a guide of some sort.

It’s not that he’s underrated. It just takes a lot of skill and effort to make him good.
Best counter to a mirage is running a vantage with a bruiser sight on any gun, it lets me know which one is the real one every time.😎

You have a good point, but tbh that match showed nothing, just a bromze game where you barely used mirages decoys.
I think mirage still needs a little bit of upgrade, thinking it would be better to add in a0.5sec invincible after using tactical,that way mirage could pair up better with Bang’s smoke or Cat’s ult. and His ult should like do their own things while following player’s movements,like some of the clone are popping batt, some holding different weapons, some emoting.His passive are great.But I am just a viewer not a player, so my thoughts are just theoretical.

I main him because he brought me to diamond he is very OP tbh his res and makes his team invis and if you lost all your teammates in a fight use ult to confuse your team and u can craft banner but for final ring he is not very useful

extremely underrated. i hated how they messed with his kit removing the decoys copying the res, though the perks help a little. anyone who says mirage is bad just doesnt know how to play him my boy also hasnt had a new skydive emote since season 5 and it sucks to have an emote for literally everyone else except him (i started in season 6)
But hey at least you can have 3 of him flying around

Bro I won a fight because my enemies kept shooting decoys which kept refreshing my tactical, so I kept throwing out decoys, that they kept shooting
They shot like, six different decoys before deciding they should wait before they shoot

Just don't use your heirloom for him because your decoy will snitch you out. Also, healing will snitch out as well.
if you hold it the decoys will have it too. also, who is really looking in a fight to see if they have the heirloom or not....? no one lol. it makes no difference

the argument "skilled players don't get bamboozled" is so fake. Like only bad clones are obvious, good mirages absolutely get bamboozles. The problem is that bamboozles just aren't that rewarding to get and he doesn't really do anything else.
I think he's ranked viable if you're really good on him, still provides (almost) nothing for your team outside of a messy fight though.
Mirage is one of the best final circle heroes.

No mirage I most definitely in underrated I played with the top 500 pred yesterday and he had 36,000 kill mirage and dropped 12 kills with 3400 damage bro was bamboozling everyone and he had his tactical and ultimate for every fight lol

I understand mirage has got upgraded but get into master and pred lobbies to showcase
So many preds in my plat lobbies and I can tell you he works if you play him right
For the millionth time… NO! His ult is easily the worst in the game and his only team utility doesn’t fit the rest of his playstyle. He’s definitely better but I don’t think he’ll ever be actually good because the devs are too afraid of allowing him to be good.
