Dont worry, most players will still play her terribly. Look at lifeline, been there since launch and 1/10 players who play her are anything but garbage
@@philledzoneit’s possible they already though of this and went ahead and made it kinda like Loba ult in which you can’t loot from it but for Alter you can’t travel into vault spaces such as the one on Olympus or the vaults on KC or World’s Edge.
I wonder if her tactical is going to be bugged for the first half of the season like Loba’s ring when it was first introduced, just simply not working at random areas of the map
As a Loba main, her Bracelet has been broken far after she’s been introduced. Back then whenever a new season came out, her bracelet would magically stop working.
I used to main Loba when she first came out but switched to Valk on her release. Loba was always breaking and each time took them forever to fix it. And then it broke again 💀
When cover is limited, you should be able to create a portal on a specific piece of cover you know the enemy will want to use. This essentially denies them the cover, as trying to hide behind it will automatically take the portal.
You know what would be cool? A portal 2 style portal, opaque but you can throw stuff or shoot through it. Would have to be an ult, but I think that'll be pretty cool
id use alter's ult to grab a teammates banner in the zone, like, ill place it down then my octane can just run without worrying about being knocked because the ult is there
Cheers TGM, on holiday rn, this will be really useful when i get back home : ) It seems she is a positional legend, rewarding high awareness of where you are and what oppertunities you can find/back out of. By far the most interesting legend we've seen since horizon imo
Most people cant use legends early on. Its so hard watching people play legends before release. Somehow, these guys play games for a living but have no imagination and can rarely use new abilities early on. her kit is showing some insane flanking ability and revive assistance. Thank you for the video it details a lot!
Reminds me of Maggie’s drill but more dangerous. Final circle players hiding behind a wall or rock and using her tactical to move players to the other side potentially killing them.
I think her ult will actually be really neat for looting if you can charge it early on and have a spot you want to be at once fighting kicks off. Set it, team goes out, eveyone instantly regroups. Idk how it'd actually work out with cooldowns and finding ult charges but could be neat for stuff like that. Or if you know where ring will be but dont want to sit around there yet
Alter can also break into loot vaults and those weapon bunkers on kings canyon. However it will sound the alarm like when loba steals from a vault with black market.
for anyone playing mixtape whenever u upgrade ur ratings u get ur ult back mostly on control this is usefull because u can keep getting ur ult and keep tp ing back to the zone u dont own
I like how he tries to blame his loss against faide on his portal placement but we can all literally see that he was getting shot at by some dude offscreen which is what really triggered the loss
Super Hyped For Everyone to get to play Alter. I'm guessing Gaming Merchant was only able to get footage for a short while with the other content creators. I can't wait to start testing around with Alter myself.
Is the tactical and her ult destructible because if tactical portal isn't u just place it in front of a door end circle and a team is just gonna have a bad time if its a vertical building, even porting them further into zone in some cases.
Alter is so OP, she can do crazy rotations, kidnap, run away. If I were to resume her strongest point it's that she can reposition anyone (enemies, teammates and herself).
Issue is if you need to quickly get out of a situation you aren’t gonna have time to just sit and hold it down and decide where you want the portal to go
managed to kill an octane who was running by placing a tp in the path he was going, weaving in and out of cover, and managed to form him into the storm, something about cylinders seems to mess with the reading of tp?
Hey can u maybe get the attention of the devs on the fact square does 5 different things on console and currently you can’t use her passive or take her ult portal back while holding a door because the game forces you to open and close the door your trying to hold
So can you: extend/mislead wraith/ash's ult by dropping the portal below wraith/ash's ult or near wall, or extend their q? use portal as anti newcastle ult when he jumps into it? interrupt lifeline res by dropping a beam/portal near her teammate?
For the last two no because someone only passes through a alter portal when they are moving so when they are resting they’d both be static and I’m guessing it’s the same for newcastle
the portal is super Broken when someone is on a door as u can instantly pull out ur gun in the real apex and not the test play so I found that it is pretty use full to use ult someone as safepoint and use Portal aggressively
whats wierd is when i here more of here ability I don't compare her to wraith I think shes more like loba in the since you wouldn't teleport into a room of people because you have that 1 second where you have to put your band back on her pasive is basically a one time loba ult in a death box and her ultimate is basically a giant loba tac for the whole squad
guys you heard it here first. 'GibrAltar' I reckon Gibby and Altar would make a great team coz you can push fights with almost no consequences if you get knocked or cracked gibby can bubble and the whole team can teleport back. maybe combined with gib ult to cover?
Do teammates have a choice of going back with her ult or does everyone go back when she uses it? The apex highlight for her showed everyone porting at the same time.
All they need to do is change the way you destroy her void nexus. You cannot say thank you or you're welcome when your ult has been placed as pressing down will automatically destroy her void nexus.
Can't wait for everyone to say shes bad on launch and then after receiving a nerf she will suddenly be good and one of the top picked legends. It's crazy how difficult it is for some people to see the value in a new legends kit until some pro starts playing them.
@kevingecko1006 but to able to track enemies on a deathbox was always clutch when you're hunting for skills. I think ash and alter would be a dope squad. With a Caustic to lay traps by a portal or lifeline to keep em going
Question is... can you avoid ring damage by just spamming going in and out of the portal? I feel like that's going to be busted in end zone situations in ranked or comp
Well I would hope that would have been addressed. It is season 21 after all. Not like those early seasons where you could use Lifeline's heal bot and survive outside the ring.

As a Loba main, her Bracelet has been broken far after she’s been introduced. Back then whenever a new season came out, her bracelet would magically stop working.
Dude her tactical was broken for like 3 years not just around when she first came out.

It looks like the same “depth” mechanic as Maggie’s drill, which does work on Rampart/Newcastle walls.
Pretty sure it will since they are both under 20 m thick

just an FYI you can use the ultimate even if you are down so you can teleport back to safety and wait for your team to come to you!
I witnessed an Alter use her tac and as she entered the portal it expired and then she was stuck in the roof above me.

The audio for her tac will either not work or it will be bass boosted to where you can't hear anything but the tac like rev

I like the idea of Alter Ult being able to quickly regroup teammates that have wandered off to loot or shoot or scout or just generally be separated

I'm longing to see endgames with Alter when they start kidnapping people from high ground.
The pull enemy out of cover move happened to me today. Alter just straight up pulled me from my safety of a box into the open XD

you can while its active. but after 10 seconds or something the portal will go away and theres a cooldown
Probably but the ring has a auto kill feature now so you can only stall for so long before the game just kills you
@@gm7947 if you go back and forth you can basically avoid (most) damage for about 10 seconds. Wraiths only lasts like 3 🤷🏾♂️
