Yo mokey, you interested in learning about vantage dash tap strafing without having to recall echo?
Simply put: Start holding the button to dash towards echo, and once you have been in the air for a moment, jump -> Crouch -> Tap strafe.
This works because of coyote time, there has to be a slight delay of like 50-100ms or smth I have no clue but there needs to be a delay between Dashing, Jumping, Crouching. You can tap strafe and need to tap strafe as soon as you crouch.
You can do some cool stuff with it, hope you enjoy!

But ramparts walls require active participation to get dmg value.
to have that be nullifies feels cheap.
But for simple traps that do dmg without a lot of attention needed seems more fair.

A tip for seer.
He actually has a worse second jump on the jumpad unlike most of thw other legends. This aplies to newcastle and (i think) horizon too.
So yeah, dont use jumpads the same.
A bug that has existed for a looong time now that no one knows about. Its a game changer (for the worse) especially when pushing with your team or escaping. Your team might be able to escape while you fall short (litteraly)

like at most I assumed I would get a lower or slower double jump if I used his ADS passive- but it's actually real. his double jump is much lower in trajectory no matter what i do.
this does make double jump wall bounces far easier though in a way.
oh yeah i remember vaguely hearing about that a while ago. Good job pointing this out. I will bring that up with respawn together with some other things i found while making this vid
@@onikrux ive been so frustrated at everyone who thought it was cap because they just blamed it on New castle being a tall legend, completely ignoring horizon and Seer... also ignoring that gibby, caustic, path qnd rev arent affected despite also being tall. Some people just cant see or feel it for some reason even though its clearly an issue.
Idk yall I've been getting some crazy movement with seer I noticed that on jump pads actually and played with it I would use the jump early or really late as well as slide jump into the pad

9:26 I KNEW IT. When I first used mirage back when he was first released I kept saying it felt like he gained speed when I ult'ed with him, my friends said it was just placebo and it wasn't true. I then kept saying this once he got reworked, and they kept saying it was placebo. Thank you for finally after so many years confirming that I was not insane this whole time.

Combat trick for Wraith abilities.
The end animation of all Wraith abilities produces the exit animation of the hand, be it from her Q or her Ult.
This animation can be cancelled by a wall bounce, which *puts both hands onto the wall.*
Alternatively, a climb (not a mantle) will work as well.
The biggest part of this trick is starting Wraith Q or Portal with your weapon in hand, and performing this animation cancel will allow Wraith to have her weapon out immediately for firing or to throw a cheeky arc star.
You should always be slide jumping at the end of phase/port anyway, to minimize the impact of the slow. Chaining that into a wallbounce like you mentioned is the optimal strategy.

You mentioned, 'When New Castle revives you...,' and it just dawned on me that he doesn't actually revive you. Instead, you, and in this case, Loba, revive yourself (herself) while he covers you with a knockdown shield.

Me and my friend figured out that you can actually keep pathfinder grappling on crypto’s drone forever. It’s a really specific method and we had to practice for ages but I haven’t seen anyone mention it EVER (also it looks so funny in pubs when people see a pathfinder-helicopter flying over them)
mokey has mentioned this in previous videos.

Yeah the Wattson one is absolutely huge. I’ve only ever seen it brought up on ottr’s similar video. It doesn’t sound that big but when you figure out you can get out of bullet stun with it you start realizing the possibilities. Also it’s not always worth it as taking your gun back out will take longer, but you can also wall bounce to get your gun back instantly.
As a Wattson main I live in constant fear that this will one day be seen as a bug and removed. It makes maining a non movement legend just a little bit more bearable. Tech like this also just makes you feel like you’ve really mastered a legend.

I don't think it will ever be removed. Her fences coming out instantly is important for her to feel good to play in general. This small but useful benefit isn't worth removing when it would make her whole kit incredibly clunky. Plus she's an old legend so it probably already would have happened.
@@shivernaut9884 yeah I hope so, but the fences were buffed at one point to unarmed speeds, and I think this was an unintended consequence of that because they come out instantly, and every other unarmed speed ability has a delay. Personally I feel like Respawn can tend to be unkind to “unintended consequences” and it may have only not happened as almost nobody really knows about it including the devs I assume. Wattson can also just feel really bad to be beaten by and those types of legends tend to be nerfed in weird ways even if they’re pretty balanced. I agree it would be a stupid small thing to remove, and probably won’t, or at least shouldn’t happen, but you just never know with that balancing team fr, and I wouldn’t be the most surprised if I saw something like “fixed wattson fences applying unarmed speeds faster than intended” in the patch notes one day. Anyways hope you’re right tho lol.
@@Kadukunahaluu yeppers. The game deals with speed weirdly so switching to unarmed speeds removes bullet slow. holstering will do the same thing but it’s usually not quick enough to get use out of it. there is some caveats as you have to already have a weapon out as the speed has to switch. If you are already unholstered it won’t work, also if you get hit again after switching you will just get slowed again and no amount of switching will save you. Still mega useful in a fight though I find myself using it usually in 1v1’s after emptying a mag to slide around and switch to my other weapon, or fall back somewhere to reload, heal, etc.
It’s tempting to use the trick constantly but you’ll find it makes reloading a lot slower in the pacing of a fight so it isn’t the most useful to spam them constantly. The game sense around it can be difficult but basically I’ve found it to make the most sense as a “I really need to not have bullet slow right now“ mechanic. Or more generally it’s the “oh shit” sequence lol. I just think it makes the most sense in the context of bullet slows as personally I’ll take an extra 400 ms to slide for 2 seconds sooner on the reload in other situations.
This whole thing has mad me realize how crazy important bullet slow is as a mechanic though, I personally believe it a big reason why movement abilities are so strong in this game, as they give you some sort of option to deal with it. It’s dramatically changed how I think about fights in apex.

@@Wynkrs I really think wattson is safe. She'd sooner be buffed than have that change happen to her tbh.
I think it would be cool if Fuse was a “nadeboosting specific” character. Giving him reduced damage from either his own nades or possibly other nades could actually make nade boosting a viable strategy for going into a fight.

Like while using her jetpack you can right click to disengage her passive & fall with reduced gravity.

Just one little correction (and yes i know it's not even a 1% difference, but there is one) from my testing Wattson does not run at full sprint speed when she has her fences out. Normal sprint is 299.00 speed (as shown in the pos monitor) while Wattson has her fences out she is only 297.67 fast. I don't know if that's a bug or a feature but anywhere i tested it, this applied. So yes “colloquial” she runs at full speed. And i take it that you know that already but because the difference is miniscule you skipped over that fact :D

Rampart can also stun cancel if you perfectly place a wall in order to quickly mantle off
Even though Seer doesn't really have anything to help with the speed (only to slow himself down), I would still kinda say that there are sort of tips to his movement
#1: Checking for heartbeats and throwing a tactical should be done while sliding, that way they won't slow you down (that one is a bit obvious, but still)
#2: Seer's tactical activates instantly, everything else is just animation. What you can do is find a cover you can easily super glide from, then throw a tactical and instantly climb into glide to cancel the rest of the tactical's animation. The same works with some items such as healing ones, just pop them almost at the same time with a tactical.
Also a few honorable tips for Crypto
#1: You should always slide and then enter drone mode right after. Not only you'll keep sliding while in the drone, when you stop you'll also remain sitting, which basically cuts your hitbox in half.
#2: You can heal and control drone at the same time. Just hold a "throw drone" button and pop a med right after. This only works when throwing the drone out, however, not when you switch to the drone that's already active

when you hit a wallbounce out of the fence-hands, you instantly pull ur gun back out faster too.

I have been using the wattson Q for doing easier faide-slide with fences movement while changing weapons! It's really fun and can throw off your enemy really easily.
shoot 1 gun -> q -> place fences while starting faide-slide (when starting crouch) -> faide-slide while placing the other fences (not when in the air, need to be on ground contact) and look up! (important because instant placement while looking up) -> lurch/strafe side-ways -> change to other weapon that's not empty -> profit! ...or not but fun!

Something I’ve found with vantage since the week I got her: use her dash to cancel fall stun AND gravity cannon or horizon black hole/ lift momentum.
@Mokeysniper you should try to use echos bat on the jump pads that lets you fly/skydive. Start flying towards the bat just before you go flying/skydiving from the pad, Its really derpy. Works with rev if u charge ur jump and release in the jump as well.

Additionally, when mantling with Wattson's fences equipped you will automatically and instantly unequip them so you can an instant slide into walljump and instantly be holding your gun.
if u use a jump pad then go into a horizon lift u can still double jump after leaving the lift

Actually, you don't need to pre-place caustic traps to gain speed boost after a gravity cannon. Not sure if this works everywhere, but requires a pretty hard timing
