They removed the Zipline-Superjump. It only exists a bit in the direction of the Zipline Slope now. We can only hope this was a hotfix and they reconsider the clamp speed approach i suggested for the full release. twitter.com/reachthefinals/status/1635583430464348160?s=20

I don't know why people get so mad at being killed by someone better than you. Don't get mad at the enemy, get mad at the matchmaking if they're that much better than you. And if you enjoy stomping on people, then you don't get to complain when someone stomps on you.

To Finals devs, I'd say leave things as they are. Apex became rejuvenated by tap strafing and other unintended movement techs, some of the best things were made on accident, don't make your game bland, allow some discovery.
i mean rn there's truly some utterly game breaking stuff in there. They should rain in the most extreme 5-10% of cases at least.

Yoo, I would love to continue seeing mokey branch out to other movement games and talk about movement tech in other games. I can imagine there are some other wacky movement based games out there with the wildest movement tech in them.

Not sure if it is a bug or intended, patched or still available, but evasive dash into a jump pad adds quite a bit of distance

This genuinely looks like so much fun and I really hope the devs are willing to pull a rocket riding move from fortnite and keep some of this stuff in just because it's fun

When throwing and object it adds whatever momentum you currently have. So of you throw something mid dash it gains pretty good distance on command
Watching the movement tricks in this game feels so familiar for me as an Apex player, like in 2:38 it's almost the same we do in Apex to avoid getting shot in ziplines, and in 8:19 it's basically a superglide.

I was hoping that this game would have cool movement like apex and who better to find that out from than the Apex Movement professor himself! Edit: This man really figured out super jumping AND super gliding. Absolute legend.

It quiet literally doesn't work like Octanes Jump-pad at all.
7:26 I think they are using the vertical zipline superjump to get the extra velocity and distance combined with the jump pad and the grapple.
a friend of mine showed this game to me. this looks super fun to play with friends.
also the prop surfing from the ground feels like the supergliding in this game lol

I think the zipline jump should be made a feature with some balancing however so we don't end up with way too high of jumps. i.e. provide a hard cap as to the absolute highest velocity you can get

I can hear people saying this could kill apex, but there's many things you have to understand too. As a Titanfall Vet i agree with the vision of the movement you have, since the 7th i play this game anf i really appreciate the movement and mechanics, i had also discovered the zip tech but didn't know if it was intended or not, sadly i don't make you tume video but there's also a technique if you use the dash upward with the zip line. Anw it's not the subject.
So the problem in this game is clearly how its perform and how frustrating most things are linked to the server. I will say it right now, If you shoot someone moving, you wont hit 'em. You will have a lot of situations when you will hit someone with the pistol or and ar and notice how much bullet you put in him (you have a visual aid to see where you hit someone and that's really coo' tho) but you will also notice less than the 3rd of your shot reg. But as soon as the player is not moving you will also notice sometimes you will miss some bullets a bit on the side and know u didn't hit and the game will still mark him as killed.
There's also basically the way you can't play this game if you don't have a beast of a config, and with no last gen version and the most popular GPU on steam now be the 1650, there's no way this game will be really popular and what is a shame because i really like the thec in this game. Playing this game before some stick and stones on Northstar kinda warm me up.
There's a last huge problem which you can't basically avoid if you are a solo player : this game just like apex is trio based, but not like apex, the TTK in this game is reallly long. What i mean is, you have 0 chance to win against a 3 stack knowing what they are doing even if you are objectively better than them. If you hate the solo experience in higher rank in apex, this game will crush your soul even in quick match at low level because no matter how good your movement will be in this game, you will feel really frustrated every time you will notice that your mates are playing solo with no cohesion znd it will always feel like "individual 1+1+1v3"

This discovery time is seriously impressive, most people haven't even gotten their hands on yet.
I have played it and I think a lot of apex movement tech (at least the baseline) is included in this game. The only things I haven't seen are niche things like tap strafing or super gliding, but ledgeboosting and stuff like that is pretty easy. I with u had more ability to control the grapple but it's more similar to bf2042 than pathfinder

I can imagine that the jump delay is an animation thing (for realism I guess) where you character is bending there knees before jumping
