other useful tips i have used in my 5k kills with rampart is:
- to know that you can place 5 walls at once before they start removing themselves. This is good to know if you end up placing walls in multiple spots throughout a fight, and a third party comes and starts using the walls you forgot to remove. just spam your walls quickly to make the walls they are behind remove themselves.
- you can block caustic gas with rampart walls
-if you kill someone snd their box lands in lava, place a wall down and stand on it while you loot.
- if enemies are chasing you to thirst you, run through buildings and block doors with walls to slow them down or periodically place walls where you are running. This can make them stop shortly thinking you are about to peek, but you keep running. This creates more and more distance and allows you to get away.
-endgame, place walls in a building to make a team think you are hunkered down in there, but sit in an adjacent building with a wall that is hidden. often solos or a team will avoid that building they think you are in and run into the next closest one. You then get the jump on them and often at least get one pick before they turn and run somewhere else.
If maggie shoots a drill into your wall, remove the wall and the drill will disappear.

The gas one is good, I didn’t know about that
Maybe a tip Maybe not… Maggie counters you hard, the drill behind the Wall is a pain and her ult will destroy the top part of your Walls. So for example you’re poking people behind cover, place multiple covers and move between them, it will make maggies job to drill you just a bit harder.
easy counter to this is to just remove the wall once the drill hits the wall. the drill will dissappear. @@_ScarCrow
If an opponent sticks your wall with an Arc Star, you can also just get rid of your wall to delete the Arc Star.
Using that to get rid of Maggie drills is awesome too. Nothing is more infuriating to an Angry Margaret player than seeing a single tick of 4 damage from a drill.

I’ve never thought about the impact of the DPS scaling before… a spitfire doing 22 damage for one bullet? That’s nearly a whole shield cell from one single bullet!

Here I am, on 2,2mil, with exactly one 4k game. I have 6,5k kills total, which I feel okay about, but then I see Gaming Merchant or oopsxxxxxxsorry and I feel bad again haha.

How the walls change the DPS of weapons which in turn makes off meta weapons more viable is such an interesting point. Part 2 of this vid should include stuff on Legend synergies with Rampart as well as best/worst maps for Rampart. Thanks for the video!

I've loved Rampart since she came out. Haven't played since season 14 and just started getting back in. This video was timed perfectly.
My biggest irritation with being a rampart main is the minute you put a barricade down or use Sheila,teammate gunfire just stops and they look for cover instead of continuing the fight…anybody who plays with rampart solos, if they pull out Shiela PUSH the team while they’re under pressure…cause after tht Sheila clip runs out it’s right back to a even fight or even a disadvantage if nobody else acts…lost so many games while having 3 barricades up and Shiela out and spraying with my teammates 2 ft away from me just WATCHING, it’s mind blowing

I just realize her shields can also get rid of arc stars if people stick them on your shield & you remove your shield.

The laser tip is also a good one for vantage and her ult. If you’re sniping at someone behind cover aim at the cover and flick out to them when they peek so they won’t see you just aiming for where they are

One small thing when placing a wall next to cover, peek the other side of cover while the wall is deploying they always look or shoot at the wall and you get a free peek then get back to cover and peek from the wall if it didnt get destroyed

I don’t say i’m very good - but they just don’t use her efficiently, even if their game is good in general - like aim or movement.

I have been watching your gameplay for years, which is enough for me to know all these tips. I enjoy playing rampart with similar style to yours, no one really expects her to be agro which is a plus. My only problem to this day is with picking up the shields, I can't do it as fast as you do and I can't bind scroll wheel since I use it for wall jumps and super jumps (w and space). I use 3 for character special interacts, good enough most of the time. The latest update to stay in build mode made me a bit slower in micromanaging walls too.
Ahh the joys of having a thumb scroll wheel and still having the normal one as well

iTz_GENE-- here rampart main since season 6 and my tip is when you got sheila 173 bullets mobile and when u run out place Sheila down and you got another 173 bullets but your Stationary.
Yo, justrecently started playing this game, and as many others, have just unlocked rampart and somehow found your video (wasnt actually looking for apex videos, but hell, the algorhitm surprises sometimes :P) anyways, had NO idea about the "slide into walls to get boost" but I seem to be struggling doing it as good as you. I start my slide as close to the wall as possible, and press the button to take it down, but it seems I just get a veeeeeeeery small boost, not even remotely as noticeable as you in this video. Got any idea what I could be doing wrong? I know its proilly hard to diagnose without a video or anything, but I'm sure you might've been in the same boat yourself at one time? Maybe? Also, in some of the clips, it seems you almost use that trick to superglide (yeah, again, algorhitm taught me about it, but I definitely cant do it myself!) with it, like you jump and get the boost, how do you do that? Or is it just that you jump whilst the boost is active, so it seems like you're using the shield to get height, but in reality you arent?
another cool rampart tip is that you can cancel the fall animation, by placing a wall while you're falling.
i just played rampart yesturday for the frist time and tied my pb kills and plan on playing her more
You need to make a video speaking about reaction with other legends as teammates and as opponents. Also have to speak about her role as an anchor. Please add her disadvantages so people avoid easy mistakes. Lastly talk about her gamestyle(eg, no aping cause of no escape buttons.)

so Rampart has this bug inside of mixtape where sometimes when you place her amp covers you aren't able to pick it up, and I've also realized that this bug has been an issue since last year. EA is so great isn't it.
But how can I bind picking up Walls to scroll wheel when i alreday have scroll up bound to move forward and scroll down to jump?
The walls need a tiny bit more health in my opinion and the holo part should come up 1/2 a second faster or so

So rampart can glitch slide then
the biggest thing I see with Rampart player is they block teammates either out of a building or place a wall right behind them where that try and back up without knowing there is now a new obstacle and they get killed. Maybe Part 2 has how to use walls with a squad to not interfere with them
Give advice to your rampart then .... she can drop it on the door in front of you if she takes a second to watch the outline + if her ult is up she should be waiting for the kick with the mini gun out best reactions ever
