If Aceu finds this video and starts doing the things you do, I feel like Respawn will somehow eventually nerf Rampart.
No big bird, cuz if they nerf her then it's back to 1.5% pick rate which was lowest last season. Which is why Respawn buffed her in the first place.

@@WhatYouMeanNo nothing to do with the strength of crypto, but his playstyle. His kit is amazing, but a lot of people aren't interested in playing him
When I was practicing superglide with her walls I found out that jumping into it is better than climbing from the bottom. It kind of makes the timing more obvious and reduces the time of climbing, eventually making your superglides slightly more consistent and faster.
So slide-jump first before the superglide?

I was a Rampart main when I first started playing this game in season 8. I came back during season 12 and for some reason haven't really given her many games since. This video definitely reminded me why Rampart is so fun for thinking ahead with wall placements in a fight! I might have to try her out again for sure!
I've enjoyed rampart since her launch but have always struggled. Your tips and just gameplay in general have me playing better with her this season than I have ever done. I've mained Path since season 0 and in season 13 I find myself maining rampart and i want to thank you for that. Just bought her heirloom too and love it.
As I’m watching you explain how these movements work, I try and think of counters to those tactics, just in case I’m facing off against another Rampart player using those tactics.

Small note: Stationary turret zooms in more than holding it by hand. You can get an effective range of 300m with little bullet drop.
Another tip which isn't really known is that the wall equip time is dependent on the item currently in your hand. I.e. it's actually faster to pull out a wall with an r9 than it is when a weapon is holstered. And with the lmgs it will take twice as long as the r9

Tempted to take on rampart as a 3rd main now, I’ve done a few cool but basic things with her but haven’t used her enough to consider her a ‘main’,
all of my mains have 2k+ kills, with the exceptions of loba and crypto, i mained them back in s5-6, so have just under 1k kills with both of them, but at that time, they were my highest stats
you don't have to have super high stats with a legend that you start to consider a main, if it fits your playstyle just fine and better than any other I would consider it a main then, (says a guy whose secondary mains have at least a hundred kill because he only crunches Rev)
@@nunocabreracancelo I disagree yeah you don't need crazy high stats on a legend but to consider them a main I'd say you'd want a high percentage of games played with them when compared to your overall games played

this scares me, and why i never complain about wraith and octane. yeah they're fun for lower ranks and sometimes you'll get an occasional smurf. But there is nothing scarier than a player who knows how to use off meta legends to their heights.(i.e. wattson, crypto, and rampart)

Hey Mr. Gaming Merchant. Hope you're well. I was wondering if you could give a little more detail regarding the sliding technique that involves picking up cover. I'm on controller and have recently switched my melee to "down" on the d-pad and "pick up cover" to "O" on my Playstation controller to make this easier. In what order do you slide, sprint and pick up? Is auto sprint recommended? Sorry for the length of my comment. Any more detail would be greatly appreciated. Love the channel.

A lot of the time people just crash the wall jumping over it so I started putting another one behind it at like a 35° angle from one end of it, so when they land their first jump it wedges them on the second one and they can't jump for a second while you hose them

The fact that at my first use of Rampart I already got the best of her since I mostly watch TGM Content whenever I want Apex content.
I've been noticing how the handling speed of your weapon affects how fast you can prep a wall. With the new handling speed nerfs to all of the lmgs it's imperative you get a good stock on there asap... or have an smg or pistol to use during your wall shenenigans.
I just love to play her with the wingman for the strafing and handling. You can place walls and quickly follow with high burst damage, on top of that it takes 1 less shot to kill a white or purple shield if you shoot through the wall.
Rampart is by far the most technical legend in the game, no other legend has a moveset with applications anywhere near as complicated as her
Complications are what make under used legends under used. Octane is the press of a button and its why hes so popular

Everyone in apex is playing a game and i wouldn't want to have to learn 10 hours of information and skill development just to play decent with a legend. But i will play octane for 5 minutes and understand how to play him. Its just go fast

What finger do you use to press the h key to pick up the wall? Do you use your index and just press the key really fast? I have a hard time trying to strafe to the right and pick it up since it’s the same finger

omg im ready senpai i just started maining ramp last season shes been my most successful legend yet i chose her cuz her playstyle slows me down alil during fights (im usually super aggressive) ive found a good balance thats lead me to way more wins than any of other of my main legends !

Ok these are great tips and all. But can you tell me how to close a door again after I’ve placed down my amped cover (this blocking the door) and then opened it from the inside? Every time I do this the door glitches and refuses to close again.

ANOTHER trick that only works in new season is to place 3 walls in a row with ult animation cancel (ult has to be off cooldown), if you start getting shot in the open while crouching behind walls. This will waste an entire mag of one baddie unless they have an lmg. I tested it with a friend, it really works, just try to look down to avoid head dmg

If you think about those 2 walls at 2:00 it's pretty nasty how many angles he has, if they stay in the middle. I think Octane figured out that that wasn't going to work for him and went to melee. But people mainly are used to the walls in that close a range getting destroyed.

i am troubled, I want to be able to pick up my rampart walls with a button other than down on the d-pad, but all other binds are too important. I have normal binds but my jump is right bumper and slide is left.

I wish Wattson was as viable as Rampart as a defensive legend. It's a lot harder to be good with her than Rampart :(
Be creative, know how to move in a middle of a shooting, people is not used to fight against a wattson that uses her ult and fences constantly, they usually go towards you without thinking, use that to control the battle. Also, her ult is INSANELY op, use it, her true passive is using just one accelerator to max out her ult
Tip: wattson is the queen of the zip lines, surprise your enemy with a good shock

the cool movement thing you can learn with wattson is taking advantage of his full sprint speed when holding the noods and place fences in the middle of a fight or on your back while scaping
I gotta ask if anyone knows the answer or if it’s been tested what happens if you keep the 24th pack of a collection event and wait till the event is over then open it after do you then get all the item but not the heirloom or do you get the heirloom pack after the event has ended
