8/9/22: No real changes to Rampart for Season 14. She's really come around and is a solid legend. This guide is 100% relevant still!
5/10/22: While rampart had a buff for Season 13, I don't expect her to really perform much differently. I will update this comment if this changes!

Makes me happy that she’s getting the love she deserves, but the hype will die slowly. I fell in love with her since she first dropped, but stopped maining her for a bit after Horizon, but deep down I wanted to get back into playing as rampart she has a very funny personality and one of the best heirlooms IMO.
Bruh she has a voice line with the heirloom animation where she takes a piece of gum and says "My favorite flavor, your mom's tears"
Definitely agree. I hope people stop using her so that I can stop havingto choose her on the load screen. lol.

@@TimProVision appreciate the advice, I've been playing rampart since she first came out and loved not only her abilities but the characters attitude and mentality, it's like a no Holt's barred gun them down and then when she uses Sheila she gets into like an overly joyful trigger happy rampage
When it comes to legend combos, I personally LOVE having a Gibby on my team. That momentary cover could get you some wall spots you could only dream of before, and his ult with mobile shiela can be crazy.

Finally someone who doesn't say the Rampart is now op! She has been my main since I started playing on the Switch but I rarely used the ultimate because it was so situational. Sheila is now high risk high reward instead of a massive target for snipers and granades!
Rampart is Solid now! Nothing to bad or crazy.
Just a quick rampart tip: you can press B when holding Sheila. It will remove your ult but the percentage of charge will be proportional with the amount of bullets you had left. Say you shot half of the bullets, you ll have to charge 50%.
What should i press on ps4. Swapping button or reload or what?

I noticed this when testing her out as a first legend purchase! This mechanic lets me have sheila up for any fight i want.
@yazanshalabi492 depends on your layout, but normally the left or down directional, for me it's down

Not joking I hit every shot with a spitfire and didn't crack her before being shredded and killed (both of us had full red armour or at least me) and she missed shots too
I’m so happy that they add rampage LMG in this season. Rampart was my main since I start playing and adding new LMG really make her shine. THEN they buff her again with this mobile Sheila. Like damn.
This and the Lstar definitely are in her favor!
Fun fact: there will be light ammo lmg in s13 or 12 (but most likely in 13)
I have another tip for you all as a rampart main. If you are involved in a 3rd party situation, never put yourself on the orange side of your own popup cover. I have found that they can easily be used against you. So if possible destroy or pick up the covers before pushing a team on the orange side of your wall.

As a rampart main it’s honestly frustrating seeing so many rampart guides that come from octane / wraith mains who play her for 2 games😂 also to note when you were talking about legend combos my absolute favorite team as a rampart main is gibby and Bangalore. When gibby pushes in for a revive I follow in with my amped walls and build a more permanent position and have plenty of time to do it, and I love telling a Bangalore to drop smoke on a door and throw up some walls that the enemy have no idea are there until it’s too late. I honestly think having mobility legends on team hurt rampart, her walls are scary but not nearly as scary as when you have a full team behind them, but with mobility legends on the team they tend to go off on their own to flank and sometimes it works but they do it every time 😂

Also, I had a question, Im close to level 23 and getting enough tokens to buy a legend, and I know you've reccommended Octane as the number 1 pick, but I'm thinking if I should first get an easier support legend with lesser skill to master like Loba before I get a legend like Octane? That way I can help my team and learn things like gunplay and gamesense along the way
@@aadithiagarajan1523 I would say love tskes some skill to use right and octane takes a lot less, octane would be better if u want someone easier but if u like the sound of loba then go for it

Dude i unlocked rampart and after like 2 too 3 weeks i tried her in ranked and i only got up to gold 4 and i was stuck up there but after watchinf this video i tried to use her again and i finally made it up to platinum thx u so much man this helps alot

Guides and pros use rampart and put down cover: enemies push them from around the corner in a straight gunfight and die.
I use rampart and put down cover: 20 arcstars indicators, 12 termites, bangalore and gibby air strike and a caustic nade ult instantly fall down on my position.

Wish her passive didn't make me feel limited to LMGs, particularly when you have the sheila as an LMG all the time. Passive just makes her seem a little less fun in theory. I wish it made her able to carry more ammo per stack or smth, or gave her an extra inventory slot for a half stack of ammo. Then Id be ALL OVER HER. Cuz I love mobile sheila and the barriers.
personally, i run an lstar/marksman or a rampage/shotgun and shes honestly a beast with both when you play her in a static position or as a sneaky flanker. you can drop a wall to cover *your* flank while you surprise the enemy with a sheila up their ass

Great video all around! I do wish the B-roll matched more closely to what was being said in the VO throughout so that there is consistently a clear link and visual representation between what's being said and what's being shown. I know that requires more work in the production, and some parts of the video do a better job than others at this, but it really helps me as a visual learner when watching any kind of guide video. I love rampart I was a life line main in the OG days of apex legends but ever since I got her when she came out season 5 or 6? She’s been incredible to me I’ve mained her ever since took a break cause I felt like she needed a buff and she finally got one a season ago and man I love her dude 💯🔥

ive recently stopped playing apex legends in around season 8 and nine then i came back with the new season and first game with rampart i won
Rampart tip. You can put mobile shiela on cooldown and refund a portion of your ultimate if it still has ammo left. You will get at most 75% meaning if you only fired a bit of shiela, you can have her recharge between engagements.
another tip when someone throws a nade at you put a barrier btn you and the nade to avoid any damage pretty useful when someone is using a nade to flash yo out of cover

I finally got heirloom shards. I main Horizon and I'm decent with a couple other legends but I wanna main a less used and get their heirloom. This might be the play
Ramp really is in a great spot. She shines best with a communicative squad and a player that is actively resetting walls, draining enemy ammo and disencouraging pushes. Only thing she needs is the ability to flip walls on the fly tbh.
I have a hard time zooming in with sheila but when I’m not zoomed in, it feels so accurate does it change the recoil spread ?
Another extra for rampart's Sheila, most players dont even know that her ult can immediately destroy doors by shooting it, so if you see enemies blocking doors and healing, pull sheila out if available and catch them off guard.
23rd rampart here in the USA 184 wins this season so far and I do all these tips it's good to see someone else be good with her. Also forgot you can put her shields on lava so and stand on top of it or get across places lol

I recently bought rampart and almost immediaetly, set up Sheila in a window facing a replicator outside. you can tell I went ham on the people crafting. 10 kills (still lost tho (Wingman Wraith))
Another tip is if you need to get over lava in worlds edge, the cover can be used as places to step on without taking damage. Not very practical in a fight, but if you are low on meds and stuck itt is good.
I think it would be a nice touch if Sheila had the pain all effect, cuz it’s ramparts signature piece, I guess
I mostly use her with a Sentinel/L-star combo. The L-star in hipfire with an extended mag is quite OP imo. Additionally those charged sentinel + wall headshots can instantly down someone with a blue shield. Love downing players that are looting boxes >:)

Rampart will always be very near and dear to me she was my first "real" main and the first legend I got an heirloom for and while I do think she is pretty great as is I still think they need to buff her amped wall a little more considering that compared to other legends with "walls/cover" she is a major disadvantage when you compare her 400 lower wall and measly 175 amped portion to a legend like Newcastle whose tactical has 500 upper and 500 lower and im not suggesting that her amped wall should have 500 health per say but I think that a great buff would be to bring her lower portion up to 500 (at least! If not 525-550) because she has to BUILD them they are not instantaneous cover and then increase the amped portion to the same maybe like 400 (default lower portion) HOWEVER either
A.) After 175 damage (as it is now) the amped portion no longer "amps" bullets but you can shoot through it
B.) Same principle as above after 175 damage it no longer "amps" however you won't be able to shoot through the wall anymore but in this instance then her amped portion needs to have the same as her bottom so like 500-550
Tldr ramparts walls need a buff. These are my ideas
Overall increase bottom portion from 400 to at least 500. If not higher seeing as she has to build the walls Then increase the amped portion to at least 400( default lower portion) and then
A.) Her amped wall while having 400ish health after 175 damage (original value) the wall will no longer "amp" bullets but you can still shoot through it
Or
B.) Same as above sorta after 175 amped wall no longer amps but instead of still being able to shoot through it you no longer can but the top portions health is now higher that 400 like 450-475
Hope that wasn't too ranty I tried to use logic and I welcome other suggestions. I would love to debate about rampart! And if you want to play let me know I'm in the discord and im obviously here! Smile 😃

Id say she pretty damn solid now but like what he said the walls do come out a little to slow, its the most frustrating thing when enemies just shoot them one time as they are being deployed and destroy them.

6:35 I cannot tell you how useful this is. If someone is camping a door and healing. Sheila will shred that door and 90% of the time the enemy will not expect it. And get absolutely demolished.

Rampart is really good in Arena, because u dont need to be so mobile, and u can control very good the Arena

It's actually for me difficult to farm damage mainly because it's difficult to pop in, do a couple shots and pop out of the situation during the error with everybody loosing connection to the game. Wich is why I'm thinking about pathfinder or valk but I never tried.
In my opinion her passive should be for all guns because a lot of people don't like using Lmgs so it should be for all

Breaking down her turret once placed no longer returns any ult charge, even if you never shoot it in mobile mode and place it full. But you can use the 'fire mode' key to place the ult on cool down and regain some charge based on remaining ammo while still in mobile mode.
