Lois is usually nagging Peter and trying to stop his chill time and it’s not until he’s doing something that benefits her that she finally lets up and seems actually happy. Preaching about how a marriage is supposed to be when her and peter’s marriage is far from perfect 98% of the time.
She's the biggest hypocrite of the whole show so it's not surprising. Hell, she couldn't stand it when she left for I think it was a vacation and the whole family was much happier without her being there.

Lois is far from perfect I agree, but in terms of (lack of) marriage commitment, it’s generally and easily a 85/15 split of Peter to Lois She definitely has a more vindictive angle more often than not, but I think that most of why she stays with him is to keep trying to prove Carter wrong about her choice to marry Peter in the first place, then some of it I think is to keep up appearances, and at this point there’s at least SOME of the reason being to minimize the advancements of Quagmire… I’d add Brian, but he’s already shown a complete lack of caring that Lois is married, while they attempt to play Quagmire’s advances as quirks in line with his usual antics… he seems to at least try to tow the line between endearing advancements and lesser level creep, whereas Brian has assaulted her on at least 2 occasions and even talked her into a paper marriage under the guise of doing it for the stability of the family when Peter was missing… it was all a long con to try to get her to sleep with him I know that Peter’s whole deal is selfish impulse, but there’s a toll it takes on a marriage when it’s so glaringly one-sided, as shown in the episode with Chris’ creepy home-made doll… But here Lois is finally getting some attention that she’s clearly been lacking, albeit via immoral manipulation, but at least there’s some actual return on her end, which doesn’t happen very often
