I got golfers syndrome in October 2022 during a hard bouldering session.
Could do nothing for 4 months, no pull ups, no biceps curls, no push ups.
Friends, doctors and internet always pushed towards one solution: "You need to stretch out your arm, bend the back of your hand towards your arm (like in a handstand) and spread your fingers ruthmically".
I followed instructions, but it didn't help.
Only 3 weeks ago I started following my intuition.
I bought a massage gun, oiled up the inside of my forearm and brought the arm in the exact position in which the injury happend, in my case I was hanging under a roof, gripping a hold in a pull up position.
Then I massaged the hurting area in the direction hand to elbow.
      And it works!
Over the last three weeks I have less and less pain and can climb stronger again.
That's my solution for my golfers elbow.

Without teaching pull ups its great the see especially the girls attempt pull ups and achieve up to 3 reps having never achieved any before training this way. We knew it had great carry over.
We also use the rings to teach push ups and dips.

True just playing around on the bars freely perfecting skills will build strength. Eventually you'll be able to do pull ups and one arm pulls as a byproduct. I've also heard of the opposite focusing on the basics and getting strong at them. Eventually you can do a one arm pull up without ever training for it specifically or front lever.

You always amaze me. The body has been so limited (often damaged) by the "conventional wisdom" of sports/physical/ rehab training of the day or fads designed for freakish (and unhealthy) appearance. At 65 yrs, I look healthy and fit as I use body weight exercises and rubber tubing which has allowed me to keep training after I gave up weights several years ago because of minor but persistent upper back joint and hip issues (disk degeneration at a couple of levels) and lack of quality sleep. But looking fit and actually being strong and functional/limber are two different things. Cosmetics look nice but are very useless. Still I cannot complain I have some energy and still do physical work and Lord willing. will be active until He decides my time is up. Keep up the good work you are very inspirational.

It was at a facility where they trained to olympic level. One day after my son's class when it was quiet, I said to my lad I'd try and climb one of the ropes arms only in an L-sit. To my absolute surprise I flew up the rope with no effort. All without ever doing pullups.

Very informative! A lot of what you said makes sense. But I can definitely assure you that predestination isn't really a thing, and I can prove it! Second, I do remember when I was a kid that I did spend a lot of time climbing and swinging on monkey bars, and I do agree that we were created a d designed to do many things. I just don't know that swinging in particular is one of them. I know we have the ability and can benefit from it to a small defree but we did not evolve from monkeys! You said yourself that we were created and designed, but you have to look at what our basic functions for living are. Only in an extremely odd scenario could I imagine that we might have to swing to prolong our life. Our biomechanics are basically push, pull, lift, carry, and I may be forgetting one at the moment. I think that it's awesome that you and so many others have been able to benefit from swinging around and such, and that you have the ability to make a living by exercising and teaching people how to benefit from the things you have learned. I think that suggesting that everyone was designed to do it may be a little reckless, and I did catch your disclaimer but how many people actually hear that when we are "designed" to do those movements. I am working on losing weight and getting back into the best shape that I can given my limitations but I am going to try to implement a couple of your suggestions. You were definitely on point when you mentioned that we shouldn't be doing anything to an excessive amount as it will cause damage, but our fundamental movements are a given and we do them through exercise and in everyday life. I have just recently found your channel and subscribed. I look forward to learning a lot from you!
