There would be tons of standing applause, pure joy and shouting from every single crowd on the seat. Yeah... That would've been much more memorable. But Pierre's crewmates were no slouch at all with those emotions pouring out for him 😎

What a twelve months though. Dropped from Red Bull, his good friend passes in Spa. Then a podium in Brazil then almost exactly a year from his friend’s death takes the top step in his team’a country.

Gasly has worked hard to redeem himself since being dropped by Red Bull. A great and exciting win for him and the team! F1 needs more days like this!!
How surprised would you be if Red Bull tried to swap him back for Albon now... I hope not, I find it hard to cheer for Red Bull.

I knew from SuperFormula that he is good, I was surprised by last year, now I am very happy for him.
I love how not just the other drivers congratulating the podium, but the other teams congratulating Sainz and Stroll, not just their own.
It was all three drivers’ second time to the podium (Sainz and Gasly shared the podium in Brazil, Stroll in 2017 in a Williams). All three are the future of F1
Also, Sainz is a former Toro Rosso driver as well so he has history with the guys at AlphaTauri

As a Hamilton fan I didn't think I would ever be so happy to see him lose.
People dont complain on hamilton of beeing an awesome racer, we are boring to see him winning, and met me say, i would change 6 hamilton's titles for seeing things like this all the time.

After being penalized for that monumental fuck up during the safety car, getting P7 and the fastest lap is far from a lose. Still, I get your point, it's nice to see new faces on the podium.

Something about Pierre yelling "What did we just do!?" Makes me so damn emotional
What I like about this race is that the young drivers feel alive again. They can see that they also have the chance to win. We can hear from Sainz's and Stroll's comments how hungry they are for a victory. The talents on today's F1 lineup is of the charts, and during this race, due to Mercedes' misfortune, we can see how close and how competitive all those young drivers are if the fields are even.
Gasly makes the most emotional wins in history. This is the second one and more powerful then previous one

It is also great to see all drivers congratulating Gasly after the race. How Stroll, Sains and Gasly praises each other on the podium was also heart warming. It is always a treat to see this guys race hard on track and show respect to each other off track.

Angelo Henrique yeah. Hopefully during the off-season they can diagnose what’s wrong with the car and be competitive in 2021. They have two young, hungry drivers who have the talent to drive but now need the car to cooperate.

All they need to do is add weight penalties when you win like in Super GT so the same car doesn’t keep wining every single race.
If you remove Mercedes, Max will dominate. If you remove Red Bull, McLaren will win most of the while.
If you remove them, there's only a fight between 5 cars: Renault, Racing point, Gasly. Boring.

What a difference a week makes.
Relentless honest work was so sweet when it finally paid off (Alpha Tauri) meanwhile hatred fueled dishonest work tasted so bitter when it backfired you up (Toxic Red Bull). Pierre's win was a big clear middle finger to Helmut Marko and Christian Horner.

That's why he was so upset and sad about not winning. Since Ferrari performs so bad right now he just noticed that he missed the chance of a decade since Ferrari won't be competitive the next couple of years.
You never know, Ferrari certainly have the corporate structure and the brain power/engineers to turn things around. Unlikely for next year but you never know.
Ghinio I think 2021 will be so difficult for Sainz and Charles, I think Ferrari is putting all their eggs into the basket of 2022

What a great race, even as fan of Lewis Hamilton, this race had everything you want, aside from the crazy looking crash Leclerc had, great freakin race, Lewis showing the skills of a Champ that often we don't get to see, since he's usually out in front.
