I think she was more blushing than in pain. Imagine how jealous her friends would be. I tell you, this girl's reaction puts the ballgirl in the French Open doubles match - where Kato was disqualified - to shame. This girl's a fair bit younger too I'd say.

Nadal and Tsonga are such classy gentleman players - love them. As the commentator rightly states 'Not only is Rafa a champion, he's a beautiful human being.' He also spent sometime with the girl and her parents after this match to make sure she was really alright - she was stoked - said that he is her favourite player.
So unlike some who smash rackets and hit lines people when they lose. What a disgrace!

That’s what I love about tennis. Most of the pro players are so thoughtful and good sports people. Gentlemen and great women. Helping other players and ball kids in need
all but 1 of the top players of all time are great. shame about the guy right now.
There aren't many (any?) other sports where the top talent comes into direct contact and interaction with ordinary kids during sporting competition. That's what provides the openings for these lovely moments. And it's when you find out who the real top talent is. And it ain't just the ones who win all the games.
I feel like it's mostly just tennis and baseball, both with ballboys and ballgirls?
Respect to these kids.
That Rafa return was so strong, probably 100 km/h, but he went towards ball girl, showed his concern, he kissed her... In fact he gave his head band to her after the match.. that's real respect, indeed he's a gentleman, a true human 👏❤️
I love how he checked on her again after the match. Some issues aren't apparent immediately and take time to emerge so I like that he double checked later just to be sure.

@@0saintclark0 Yeah, you can see how deformed the brim of the hat is. I think it still either deflected down into her face or bent the hat far enough to hit her face though, because it looks like her right eye is already tearing up a bit by the time Rafa makes it over there, which is a pretty sure sign of getting hit right around there
sure she took hard shot in face and she didn't make a tragedy also, nadal did a real sport gentleman act of respect and mankind, bravo bravissimo
Yeah when you compare the line judge Djokovic hit at the US Open, or the ballgirl Kato hit in the current French Open doubles (pathetic), this was far harder, and didn't result in a load of blubbing. No, Rafa shows class, but Kato's opponents moaned to the umpire and got her disqualified after he'd given a warning.

That's why fans love Nadal. He's always kind and caring. He even took time to meet with the girl and her parents after the match (or tournament) to make sure she's really ok. Tennis fans are blessed to have Nadal.

I dont think "Losing" isn't the right word...
Yeah , unfortunately looks like he'll be missing Wimbledon and the US Open at least before he recovers from his surgery. It'd be great if he could bow out with a final hurrah in 2024, but it depends on how much fitness and sharpness he loses during his recovery. So much more class than Djokovic, he and Federer both.
He is still around, just not playing regular pro tennis anymore. Hopefully in the Legends tour sometime.

@@VelhaGuardaTricolor silly comment. The girl was about 13ish years old, hit on the side of her face with a tennis ball being hit at a fast and brutal speed. She held her composure very well. Probably realised she was on tv all over the world. Well done to her.
I have to admit that Tennis is far superior of any other kind of Sports when it comes to Kidness and Humor. The people just have a different and respectful mindset. I
am more a Ice Hockey type of Person based on my more Figher Nature but it wearms my heart how people treat each other in that Sport and that they play fair and for their joy. Something that Fooball Stars can learn a lot from.
I love all these, they really show that between humour and kindness all the proper feelings are there. Imho big part of sportsmanship is proper feelings and also ability to find humour in things :) #2 for me is the best - girl made it so it's not a big deal, she's so focused on the job, but still appreciative. And by the end it's so nice Rafa remembered and she's like "I'm fine :) "

Nadal moment is the best.
Tsonga may 100% have saved that girls life. Its a bit of a stretch but she may have been suffering heat stroke or dehydration. She was definitely not all there. Also may have licked her knees while standing there i have seen badass marines just suddenly drop when they accidentally do this
