    Great review as usual your so lucky to have trails like that beautiful bike is it the same colour as the 2022 specialized stumpjumper pro? 🤔 Looks similar

    • @dialedmtb
      @dialedmtb  Před rokem

      Thank you!! Yeah we have quite a bit of trails around Boise! But yeah the color is pretty close to the Stumpjumper Pro I had last year, different but for sure pretty close!

    I am 5’-7” and the medium fit me perfectly

    Slight geo changes and size specific chain stays are nice revisions...to your point easier to ride.

      Yeah a lot of little things but those add up and to me made a pretty big difference compared to the last gen of bikes.

      I disagree. I just bought my SB160 T1 at 40% off... basically $5k, now I can still go to the dentist and he can then buy his Yeti

    How do you compare it to the We Are One Arrival 152? Edit: Great video. I like the first impressions angle.

    • @dialedmtb
      @dialedmtb  Před rokem +3

      That is a good question, I think the Arrival climbs a little faster, I know I said this bike felt poppy but that is compared to what the SB150 felt like and me expecting it to be very ground huggy, so with that said the Arrival is still for sure a lot more poppy and playful. But with that, in those area's the SB160 really is not too far behind but then makes up for it with how well it handles basically any downhill. I have done some lift days since my first ride and in less than 3 weeks with the bike I have done about 40,000 feet of descending and it has taken everything and made me feel more confident anywhere I have gone with it. It is a super rad feeling. I will try to get a full review out towards the end of summer if people are interested in that.

    I have this exact bike coming in next week. I read a lot about it feeling a little too planted but it sounds like you're having fun and seem to feel it is poppy in stock form. Are you running the suggested settings from yeti's website for the suspension? If not what settings did you use and how heavy are you? I'm 5'8 185 lb. Have you tried a coil shock on the rear yet? Still looking forward to your full review of the bike, but I think you're probably still really enjoying it.

    • @dialedmtb
      @dialedmtb  Před 5 měsíci

      Yeah this bike is more planted than say an SB140 for sure but compared to the previous SB150, and other 2024 longer travel bikes it definitely is more poppy than a lot of them! It for sure plows through stuff and is an awesome bike. You will be super stoked with it I am sure! But yeah I did run the coil on it for about 6 weeks during the summer when I was going to lift served riding a lot.
      I will most likely do the full review on this bike in a couple of months once the weather has got better and there is more riding near me.

      @steveg56 Před 5 měsíci +1

      Thanks for the reply. Look forward to the full review. Are you leaning towards the coil of the stock X2?

    • @dialedmtb
      @dialedmtb  Před 5 měsíci +1

      So I took the coil off for my normal riding. I like the air shock for the majority of the riding. The coil definitely takes any of the playfulness out of the bike. If you can, I would just have both. It is nice to have.

    How did you like this compared w the 150?

  • @ramoer
    @ramoer Před 11 měsíci +1

    I ride a ripmo v2 and thinking about this as my next bike. I've read its a lot more planted and less poppy/playful. Would you agree? Is the suspension feel pretty firm or is it smooth over the small bump and chunk

    • @dialedmtb
      @dialedmtb  Před 11 měsíci

      Compared to the Ripmo V2 it is not as playful, but it is still very fun, but yes it is more planted and gives me personally more confidence in rougher stuff than the Ripmo did. I am super stoked with this bike so I would for sure recommend it, especially with the current sales they have on the GX and XX1 AXS builds!

    • @Wizler71
      @Wizler71 Před 10 měsíci +1

      I had a Ripmo V1 for five years and loved it. I currently have an SB150 but I've also test rode the SB160. Yes it's a bigger bike, very fast and stable but also plenty fun! If you're on the border between sizes you might consider downsizing for trails. I'm 5'10" and normally ride large; Yeti recommended medium when I demoed and it still felt great at Crested Butte bike park.

    • @dialedmtb
      @dialedmtb  Před 10 měsíci

      Yeah I agree, you can definitely size down with most bikes out there these days.

    Coming from a pivot switchblade. Do you think this bike could be a daily driver. I like tech and climbing

    • @dialedmtb
      @dialedmtb  Před 11 měsíci +2

      Yeah 100%! This bike has really impressed me. I actually sold all of my other bikes and ride this thing only now. I did just get a short travel 120 bike to have as a local lower foothills bike for my local stuff that is super smooth and easy. But I still think I will be riding this bike the most, even in my easy local trails. It is just so dang good. I plan on doing a full review on the bike here in about a month or two.

      @@dialedmtb Yep - local but haven't raced yet this season. Definitely need more practice before I sign up to race. I was guy chatting with John there at the end of the evening on Thursday. Also the guy that bought a Django LTD (orange one with 150 fork) partially based on your review since you might be the only one that actually posted a review of that bike on YT.

      @@dialedmtb that’s cool man. I just found your channel, you got awesome contents. I’m local as well in meridian. Just started Mtb-ing again after 10 yr hiatus. Dusted off my old chameleon the other week and I want a new bike with bigger wheels. No one really rides 26er anymore. Still fun tho

      Thank you I appreciate that! Glad you are enjoying it and that is awesome you're local! But yeah 26" is gone for sure, there are a lot of really good deals out there right now though for 29" trail bikes! You definitely don't need a super expensive bike to have a great bike these days!
