We Don't Have A Gun Problem, We have a Chicago Problem | Over 100 People Shot July 4th Weekend
Vložit

- America does not have a Gun Violence Problem; it has a Chicago problem. More specifically, America has an inner-city violence problem, and Chicago is a prime example of this.
Over the July 4th weekend, over 100 people were shot, with 17 of them being fatal, in anti-YOU-have-a-gun Mayor Brandon Johnson's Chicago.
Chicago has all the gun control politicians are trying to push on American citizens. They have a 72-hour waiting period on gun purchases, a red flag law, an “assault weapons” ban, a “high capacity” magazine ban, and a Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card requirement.
Not to mention, the process of acquiring a FOID card involves a "thorough background check" by the Illinois State Police.
Chicago was responsible for over 30% of the gun deaths over the 4th of July weekend.
But this isn't new, as a matter of fact it's a thing.
If guns were the issue, these deaths would have been widespread throughout the country and a lot higher.
Instead, they're concentrated in particular parts of some of our big cities.
At what point are we going to acknowledge there is a very specific problem going on in these places that has nothing to do with guns.
Then, the media has the audacity to pad actual mass shooting stats with inner-city street violence to hide the fact that mass shootings are exceptionally rare.
The reason people think they're so common is because the media and anti-gun groups keep calling everything a mass shooting.
Two gangs shooting at each other isn't a mass shooting. One person shooting at another person amongst other people isn't a mass shooting. It's street violence.
The distinction matters because the only way to solve the issue is to understand why it's happening, and each problem requires a different solution.
You don't try to solve self-destructions the same way you would try to solve street violence, and you don't try to solve school shootings the same way you try to solve domestic violence.
I find it funny that anytime a gun is used in a gun death, it's a gun problem, but when people use guns to save their lives, they don't call it a gun solution.

America has a problem NOT enforcing the gun laws already in the books in a forceful manner. Repeat gun offenders do not fear gun laws! They should not be out of prison for decades!
thats because they dont work. its not a laws problem, its a law breaker problem.
This is a feature, not a bug. You have to understand how the process works. 1) pass a restriction 2) don't enforce it 3) wait for an event 4) use that event as proof that the previous restrictions didn't go far enough (whether or not the tool used in the event was affected by the regulation is completely immaterial) and go back to 1. Repeat 1-4 until 5) citing the fact that none of the previous restrictions worked, ban everything. Basically, gun control is designed to not work; because - if the measures were ever effective - further infringements wouldn't be "needed".

100% correct, as usual. I've lived in the STL area for the entirety of my nearly 58 years. The violence over there just gets worse and worse. This is a logical fallacy that a lot of pro-gun people fall for, commonly known as a "circular argument."
While I know what you mean by "law abiding citizen," nobody else CAN know that objectively. Someone is only a "law abiding citizen" until they're not...The Tennessee shooter for example, the Uvalde shooter, the Louisianan shooter, Vegas shooter, the list goes on and on. Of course a "good citizen" wouldn't go on a shooting spree because they then wouldn't be a good citizen. It's a silly point to make and we need to stop trying to make it in the 2A community. Focus instead on the futility of gun control as we can never know what is truly inside someone's mind until it's too late.
@@Shademastermcc I’m pro-2A and never heard of such a silly comment as that. It’s not even circular, it’s just dumb and obvious. It doesn’t even prove a point.
@@Shademastermccit makes people uncomfortable on both fronts, on one hand you never truly know what could be going on in someones mind and even through therapists and counselours that check them off as fine they still might just snap one day due to who knows what series of things.
On the other hand the history of gun control and the results that come from it never work in the favor of the citizens, it always leads to even more government overreach and oppression but people want some big "thing" to point the blame at because its a more comfortable thing to do than accept that there will always be violent people and violent people WILL find a way to hurt someone if they really want to.
To me the best thing most people can do then is stay armed, vigilant, and if you can... polite.
Why don’t we go after the gangs? El Salvador seems to be onto something. Law enforcement needs to be allowed to go in and crack down.
It won't matter, what to you think normies will do when THEY become homeless, can't get food, for themselves or their children, the dollar crashes, the banks take everyone's accounts, none of the grocery stores have food, gas stations are out of gas, everything is burning 🔥..
