The casket gouging continues as all things EVH bring large post mortem dollars on the interwebz. What is wrong with you people??? lol
But lucky me, I already had this mythical flanger from MXR, and I bought it used for cheaper than new, which is how this is supposed to work.
Regardless of that, do you want one? Is it worth the premium over other flangers?

@@GearGasms I just bought a Headrush MX5, the little one. just came out a couple of weeks ago. I love it. You ever tried the Headrush or Line 6 Helix ? Pedalboard.
No but I’d like to. The Headrush is intriguing
@@GearGasms Yes it is, and I think the amp models sound better on the Headrush than on the Helix. It's got the touch screen, really 😎..
I tried a couple of Jazzmasters but just couldn’t like it, I think I might try an Explorer if I can find one somewhere to try. Do you still like yours. I don’t use the Flanger much, It sounds good with Whitesnake tunes.
I do like my Explorer still!
The video was moderately entraining.... until you went #TeamWolfie. Then it was instant like. F the haters! VH legacy is immortal.
Oh... and... I have the EVH flanger. Set subtle with the regen all the way down, the manual about 1/3 down, the other 2 at noon it really shines on both clean and into dirty. Love all the EVH products.

I think the flange gained and lost popularity really quickly with My own prison with Creed I think they were treated unfairly because of the religious aspect but who am I to judge I have the small Stone electro harmonics and I like the flange it definitely has its place
Being able to turn pedals on and off without tripping, falling or hitting the wrong button while playing is a skill few really end up mastering. Don't feel bad about acting clumsy trying to turn it on and off. That takes a lot of time to master, and then you eventually get good enough that someone else does it for you. 😂

There are very few "signature model" products that make any difference whatsoever. Most artists have a custom version of their model which is nicer or better quality than the mass production model. Just remember folks, the pedals and guitars famous artists use on records are stock off the shelf models that were not modified at all... or if they were, they were modded for next to nothing with other parts. Do not fall into this trap. MXR's originals are what Eddie used on the first few records. Make your own sound with what you got.
That’s great advice. The one thing I will say for this unit is that the EVH button is a nice feature for those who don’t know how to or like to tweak knobs. But overall you’re point is spot on
Came to here post exactly this. The only signature pedal I've got is the EVH wah which cost a bit more, but the fact it was the first Dunlop wah to have lights on when it was active was a gamechanger for me.
