  • This week we ripped into the pallet of COBB parts they sent for the Raptor Build, and started the fun by installing their Redline Carbon Fiber Intake and Scoop. The whole system was a breeze to bolt up, the unboxing experience was fantastic (very well-received by the engineers), and overall fit and finish on these parts is perfect. We truly can’t say enough great things about the Redline System and COBB’s support and hospitality. If you’re in need of any airflow technology or go-fast parts for your Raptor or other supported vehicle, you know where to look! Huge THANK YOU again to COBB Tuning for partnering with us on this 2023 Raptor Build!

    You should install an ARB compressor behind the rear seats

      Just curious about the price you paid for your roush? I’m looking around to buy a raptor and had no idea they even made a roush version..

    Can you hear more turbo spool? I feel like my old 14’ f150 with 3.5 had more build up noise over my new raptor… missing that.

      I agree with that. My 2018 with corsa sport muffler seemed to make more turbo noise. This truck isn't tuned yet though and the 2018 was, which makes a big difference.

    Nice video, but looks like you will have to unscrew those 8 screws to Service filter, what a pain

    Is there a small tube that needs to be orientated and installed above the turbo?

    Do you think this one being the redline carbon fiber would give a better audio tone than the standard composite plastic one of the non redline? part of me wants to believe the redline would have a slightly louder, richer tone since its lighter and less audio dampening also since your raptor already had the noise restrictors removed from the intake hoses you probably won't notice a huge difference before and after compared to the gen2's

      Not sure really, but it's conceivable the carbon scoop/tubes could make cleaner, maybe more 'throaty' intake sounds. There wasn't much difference in sound after the install, but the induction noises were a little more defined - whether that's just COBB's intake/scoop engineering or the carbon fiber making the difference, we're not positive. Good question though! The folks over at COBB would definitely have a better answer haha

    Carb EO numbers? Manufacturers jump right in. "It's a big deal" to shoot ourselves in the foot and agree to ridiculous regulation so we can tax the hell out of American companies...Thank you sir may I have another.

      Yep. Rewarding government overreach with compliance

    • @BuiltRightInd
      @BuiltRightInd  Před 6 měsíci

      When the alternative is to close your business, what would you do? These small businesses are being fined tens/hundreds of millions of dollars. Choosing not to comply means people lose their jobs and we lose an entire industry/hobby. It's unfortunate but it's the reality of the situation in the aftermarket right now.

      I appreciate you responding to these comments. In all fairness, aside from K&N, I don’t think I’ve seen another performance company boast about CARB, OE etc compliance (outside of companies doing business in CA). I have seen companies however choose to not do business in states with excessive regulation/ overreach.

    • @BuiltRightInd
      @BuiltRightInd  Před 6 měsíci

      @@Dusther210 Yep, I hear ya. It's going to become more and more common since the issue no no longer limited to specific states. As I said in the video, COBB has made the business decision to be on the leading edge instead of waiting for the EPA to bury them like they will so many other small manufacturing businesses.

    • @Dusther210
      @Dusther210 Před 6 měsíci

      Or the industry can fight the EPA or get into lobbying. Chevron deference (which is likely what the EPA is using to make rules) expected to might not be much of a thing in the not too distant future because the fishing industry is fighting another government agency overstepping their bounds.
      The EPA is not a court or legislature to be deciding which laws are to be enforced.
      Again I have to say I really do appreciate you taking your time, even on NYE to engage with your customers and have dialogue like this. You guys make great products and this conversation makes me like you more. Happy new year!
