COBB Raptor Intercooler Install! // 2023 Raptor Build Ep.8

We gave the Raptor some much needed love last week and installed COBB Tuning's Front Mount Factory Location Intercooler for Ford EcoBoost trucks! This awesome upgrade keeps air intake temperatures lower than the factory part, making sure your truck is producing consistent, reliable power. The stock intercooler is much less substantial and not as meticulously engineered, so the air passing through it doesn't cool down as much under heavy use, causing it to heat-soak rather quickly.
This COBB unit has more mass, a better fin and bar core design, fantastic build quality and an uncanny ability to keep intake temps balanced. Whether we end up bringing the Raptor out to the dunes in the near future or we're just doing pulls on asphalt, we want to keep this truck breathing fresh air - and this COBB Tuning Intercooler will help us do it!
Follow along as Matt installs this sweet intercooler in the truck, without rushing through it the whole process took about an hour, and we would probably give this upgrade a 2/5 on the difficulty scale. Definitely an install that can be completed after work with a drink and some common hand tools!

Could have used this video 2 weeks ago when I installed the same intercooler on my raptor. Enjoyed watching you run into the same issues I did. My 15 year old was my jack, ha ha. Great Cobb product, now waiting for Cobb to release a tune for the 2023's.

Do you think the larger inter cooler and the TS blow off valve will fit with no problem?
I’d like to install at the same time so waiting for you to be the Guinea Pig on that deal 😂

We're hoping it'll all fit up there! Once we need that larger intercooler we'll be ripping apart the front end and getting an answer for you. Based on the unit being smaller than the OEM valve, it should fit - fingers crossed!
