    I am Tom Saguto, PGA Member and founder of SagutoGolf. Thank you for visiting my instructional page where you can find how to get on the fast track to improving your golfing abilities. Whether you are a seasoned golfing veteran looking for a quick swing tune-up after an on-course emergency, or a beginner just looking to get the most out of your golfing experience, I am here to help you achieve your golfing goals.
    My mission as your swing doctor is simple, to help you maximize your enjoyment in game of golf. Because, let’s face it, golf is a hard game.
    My philosophy is wholly based on the student having a fun, meaningful experience in a frustrating and complicated game where potential lifelong golfers either quit because it is too difficult or that they experience some form of swing-related pain or discomfort. I mitigate these problems by focusing entirely on the student’s needs and goals while teaching a golf swing method that ultimately takes stress off of the common pain areas of the swing.

    So... you're the open chords guitar playing of the golf swing? Open chords vs Barre chords? I golf like you play guitar LOL. What I've been finding a great joy is that the things I used to find comfortable and easier to do are what you're telling me to go back to. It's like "I knew I was right." I've sort of known this all along but we were all told different. and I feel say like telling them "I told you so!". I'm glad I found you.

    i found that if i i raised my arm, squeezed them together, s and brought them back down on TOP of my pectoral muscles as i was assuming my addrea position it helped a lot with this problem. It's a more common problem if you are stocky or overweight than it is for slim golfers. It worked for me

    I'm doing this to remind myself what I'm going to do at tomorrow's game. 1. Weight forward 2. arms connected to chest 3. and keep there in backswing 4. hip bump forward, right side crunch 4. pull forward through shot like you describe somewhere 5. Have a relationship with the ball. Someone gave me a pink ball, I shot a 39 stableford with it, then next game used it only for the 18th and got a birdie. So now I love pink balls! I'm ok with backswing, sometimes the left side after impact is like a fog Tom show us how to feel a follow through thanks.

      @@SagutoGolf hi Tom, the first game no good because thinking too much of positions. Since then better because realize its not my head that needs to think it, but my body. Your swing feels natural and so uncomplicated so I believe I'll be able to eventually feel the positions without thinking in my head. Also btw, I do face on putting because that feels natural too lol! God bless :)

    Not very clear what the difference would be between lifting the arms and elevating them.
    Can you actually elevate the arms without lifting them, Tom?

    • @SagutoGolf
      @SagutoGolf  Před 3 lety +1

      "Lifting" is an independent action commonly taught in the two-plane "shift and lift" swing. In the Stack and Tilt swing the lead arm rides against the chest as the body tilts, turns, and extends. This places the lead arm on or just below the tilted shoulder plane at the top. So as long as we properly execute the body motions and don't lose our orientation to the ball, the arms will most certainly be elevated without any active lifting!
      It is important to understand that the videos, lessons, and drills on this free channel - while fully aligned with the swing method I teach - address a variety of topics, issues, feels, and common flaws/fixes from one episode to the next. They are certainly not intended to be taken as a sequential learning platform like the structured curriculum of my online school, which I strongly recommend to anyone who truly wishes to get on the proper path towards learning and owning this swing. For just $10 US/month or $99 US/year you'll have unlimited access to a comprehensive members-only system for the full swing, the short game, and much more. The school's intuitive course layout greatly simplifies the entire process through succinct, step-by-step videos, and I'm regularly adding new content. This will really put you on the fast track towards learning everything in a well-organized, self-guided fashion. Some successful golfers have high arms

    • @SagutoGolf
      @SagutoGolf  Před 4 lety +1

      Yes some do! Not gonna deny that but most will swing the club inward and around because it takes less work and hand eye coordination.

  • @mightyx
    @mightyx Před 4 lety

    This is not true, I had been swinging too flat for years and got no power, then I swung my hands and arms higher and got more power, just look at the tour pros, at least 90% of them have their hands above the top of their heads at the top of the back swing.

    • @SagutoGolf
      @SagutoGolf  Před 4 lety +1

      Depends on how you were swinging it. If you can make high arms work with you, do it!
      Most tour players will have arms on their shoulder line indicating they have swung their hands inward.

    • @cobra7282
      @cobra7282 Před 4 lety

      @@SagutoGolf This. The tour pros that swing their arm above the shoulder line appear to be in the minority, not the majority. Even Tiger, Rory, Finau, Day and Fowler (to name a few) swing to their shoulder line and all of them hit the ball a long way. They just understand how to efficiently generate power from that position. Of course we can't all hit with as much power as they do (regardless of hand position), but we can still generate more than enough power from there.
