How I Increased My Milk Supply | Kryz Uy

- Back with another Sunday update! Hi everyone!
I have been reading a lot of your comments requesting a video about my breastfeeding journey. You guys have asked how I got to stock up on so much milk- and in today’s video, we’re gonna be talking all about that. Obviously, I’m no expert, and each momma’s journey is different. But I hope my own experience can somehow help you if you’re struggling with your own supply in any way.
In the nine months of my pregnancy and going through labor, I can honestly say that breastfeeding is the hardest part- especially in the beginning! The first two weeks were the absolute worst and the most painful thing to happen to my nipples EVER! Scott direct latching every 30 minutes to an hour made the girls really sore that even a whiff of air would make me wince in pain. It hurt it so much! 😭 It honestly took me about a month to adjust, and now, it’s one of my favorite things to do EVER. So if you’re a new mom and still suffering, I know it seems like there’s no end in sight- but trust me, it does get better.
Without further ado, here are my personal tips on getting your milk supply up, what I went through with Scottie, and how I am able to store about 1000ml of milk a day- after feeding him! For your easy viewing, I will list all the helpful timestamps of the topics I mentioned! Enjoy and Happy Sunday!

Does your baby drink thawed milk? Sa akin kc before ayaw nya ng thawed milk thats why ung stash ko sa freezer na donate nalang lahat sa ibang babies and hospitals.

I love direct latching too, Kryz! Everything you said about it is just on point. It is really convenient. Frozen and thawed breastmilk is still nutritious but the milk that came out from direct latching has live antibodies and other immune factors (which our babies really need for their protection amid this pandemic.) Another reason why I preferred direct latching for 14 months now over bottle-feeding my milk is because I don't want my daughter to develop nipple confusion. I've read a lot of posts from fellow moms who struggle with bringing their babies back to their breasts so it's better safe than sorry. I'm genuinely happy that you are enjoying your journey and I'm looking forward to more content like this. ☺
Thank you for describing the pain of breastfeeding on point! My little one is 2 weeks old and the first week was soooo painful i almost gave her formula milk but im so thankful that i just continue latching her even though it is verrry painful.

What you said was all true, first 2 weeks was always the hardest but when you're able to adjust you'll enjoy breastfeeding your baby. I admire your dedication in breastfeeding scottie and being a mama to him. Breastfeeding is such a wonderful experience, it's hard at first but worth it at the same time. I totally agree on how rewarding it is even though it really really painful. Giving birth during quarantine period is another thing and my baby’s a preemie. We’re still in the hospital, hoping and praying that she gets better soon.Btw, I’ve watched this a number of times and its been a very helpful video for first time moms. #sagingfamfan

PS: That is a looooot of milk po Ms Kryz! Scottie is really lucky to be breastfed with no problem of running out of milk. I was breastfed only for a couple months because my Mom didn’t have enough milk, therefore I grew up quite sickly with a lot of allergies. Breastmilk really is the best! You go momma! 💖

Super agree to how you handled your breastfeeding journey :) so happy and proud of you :) its really a super hirap na time on the first few weeks... super hirap super sakit super nakakapagod pero yup i agree you are on the right track! you will see it soon that this rewarding feeling is really immeasurable... you will love breastfeeding (direct latch) more and more each day :) my baby is 2 years and a half old now and we are on the end of our breastfeeding journey... my son seems to be starting to self wean himself... kaya its truly amazing to watch your video... parang bumalik lahat ung memories ko on how hard it was nung simula and how happy we were through out the whole journey... :) hi to baby Scott he's lucky to have you as a mom... breastmilk supply is not about who is chubby or who is thin or who is lucky or who is swerte na marami supply... having a good milk suppply is about tyaga (perseverance) patience, consistently trying, grit and love for your child... our body will make supply if you try to let it feel that its needed...
I know so many moms fail because they choose to mix feed or stop trying or half heartedly want to breastfeed...
and mix feeding is not the best but not bad because you just wish to nourish your baby but it also makes your body think you dont need the milk which makes your supply lower... which makes you more frustrated... which makes you more stressed... which makes your supply lower... which makes you feel sad and want to give up...
Everything on point esp the last part. Haha. Negativity should really be removed around a new mum. A new mum only needs positive vibes and voila, everything will be fine and fun 🌻
