  • Hey guys,
    Here’s my real and raw journey of breast feed. I hope it would be helpful. Main thing is don’t give up and don’t doubt yourself. Believe whatever you are doing is right. Ppl around will always doubt you n put you down. This could be out of concern, concern towards you or your baby. But don’t let that effect you. Stay strong n JUST DONT GIVE UP.
    Something that I missed sharing, take hot shower bath if u are a new mom. Use hot rolling pin or hot bag. That will help in soften the breast n let’s the milk out. Again that too was painful for me. Breast would get heavy, but nipples were not letting the milk out. N that’s when I used hot rolling pin or took hot showers. N it helped me express 30ml.

      My milk was less, so if I gave powder milk to my Chinu, then her stomach would get upset, so I started Mamicon capsule and Mamicon syrup, milk started coming from 3 days, if I had known earlier, I would have taken this🖤

    Your milk production will be as much as baby needs. When the third month comes you will get maximum milk production as the baby grows. So anyone no to think too much about this and getting stress on this. Milk will come when baby is hungry. Happy parenting to everyone.

      @atruenut Před 2 lety +28

      That is just not true for some people it doesn't come and they need to feed formula. Don't be stubborn if your milk is not coming feed your baby formula! Its nothing to be ashamed of. Don't take risk of giving your baby jaundice when they are very young - just feed them however you can.

    When my daughter was born in July 2023 I wanted to exclusively breastfeed my baby. However I had no idea it would be so tough.. I had a c section due to some complications but I started to breast feed after 5 hours of birth.. I can't explain how hard my journey was as my baby was cluster feeding at night for like 7-8 days and I was not able to sleep for even an hour. The toughest part was my MIL was so obsessed with my baby and kept pressurising me to start formula milk. She Was saying that the baby is hungry and not getting enough milk that's why she is asking for milk every half and hour...I was not confident enough that I was producing enough milk for the baby.. but I was so stubborn to give up and I exclusively breastfeed my baby.. it's almost 2 and half months and my baby is healthy and I don't give a damn thing what she says...

      Same thing here, i have two other aunt-in-laws including my mother in law who kept saying that i should feed him formula as he is not latching onto me and he is hungry. But my sister insisted me to keep on trying and not to feed formula even if the baby is crying, and then only my baby latched onto me. I was surprised as to how my mother-in-law, who herself breastfed my husband for 6 months and more, said to feed my baby formula! I dont understand

    I am also facing the same issue. I see me in you. I am so stressed that I am unable to feed my baby directly. I use nipple shield and breast pump but I can only pump 60 ml or 2 ml sometimes and sometimes no milk. I am feeding formula to my young one where he completed 4 tins of formula. This is making me worried that I am unable to express enough milk to my baby. In the morning I can express 30 or 60 ml of breast milk but in between there is no milk to express. Is there any time interval to pump the milk? Kindly advise. I am so stressed. As you said we should be stressed free I tried and I can't make it.

      @bhavapriyavenkat2996 Před 2 lety +3

      I am a new mother as well. Three month old baby. First and foremost do not give up. Second do not take stress that you are not producing milk Third let the baby drink as much as possible from your breasts. If that is not possible get a breast pump and start pumping every two to three hours how much ever little it is there. Your brain will think your baby needs it and start producing more. Four drink lots of water. Twice the regular amount that you usually drink. Five take lactare tablets with your doctor advice. Galact also with your doctor advice. Six galactogogues are there like saunf, garlic, methi seeds, oats, milk, curd and other dairy products. Seven drink water before and after every feed or every pumping session.
      These are the things that worked for me. Every mother and every child is different. So take your doctor's advice for better results. Not giving up is the key.
      PS My baby was a little premature and doctor advised for formula as mine was low weight as well and was unable to latch as well. But I was adamant that I will breastfeed or give him only my breast milk. Never give up attitude is very important.
      At the end of the day as I earlier said each baby and each mother is different. So do not panic and stress yourself much. Do put in your maximum efforts and I am sure you will have enough breast milk supply soon.

So doc recommend formula for her.. from the past 1 month she completely refuses the breasts.. I use to pump her even after 30 mins of pumping I only get 10ml.. I can only efford manual pump . So after seeing your video if take that granules.. does my milk Supply increases? Help me.. because it mentally effect me a. Lot... Waiting for your reply

    Hey sameera, this is the best video on ur channel. Kudos to the efforts u put in to breasfeed ur baby.
    Adding a small.information:
    Apart from Galact granules, Lactare capsules are equally helpful. Lactare is a capsule form of Galact available in any pharmacy store.
    Food to increase lactation:
    In non veg: mutton n nethali fish.
    Veg: bottle guard, sponge guard, ivy guard, garlic, methi leaves or fenugreek leaves n seeds.. also saunf, almonds, milk.

    I truly was an underproducer. My baby was losing too much weight and wouldn’t pee or poop. I latched her 24/7 I was shocked how much she ate! She woke up and ate! But she wasn’t getting anything out so she was fussy! We had to supplement with formula. The galactagogues totally work! But it’s a slow process for people who are truly under suppliers. U have to express all milk before next feeding. I’m up to expressing just under an oZ in both breasts combined. My baby is almost 4 weeks old. Fed is best❤️

    All these days u showed videos of chilling out after delivery. Thought it was a wrong message to new mothers. But now u did a good thing by showing every new mothers journey.
    I used Galact after 3months for few day's thinking as the baby is growing and might need more milk. More than Galact what I found useful was lactogenic foods. Especially Paneer is the best for milk production.
    Any new mom can try and check urself. Home cooked Panerr butter masala or some panneer cheese sandwich from a hygenic store. U dont have to eat this evedyday but when u eat these u can see instantly milk production happens and at times starts leaking immediately.
    Oats and sabudaana also work like magic...u can eat oats everyday by adding 3 to 4 spoons of Suffola oats(Suffola oats are soft and need not be cooked) to 1 bowl of milk with cornflakes.... I eat these regularly my baby is 7 months and I give him solid only once or max twice. Rest of the time hez only on my milk which my baby enjoys and I am able to produce so much milk even now.
    Other thing - Breast feeding is good. But it is important that the mother is healthy. Exclusive breastfeeding is very tiring and sleep depriving. After 3 months I wud give only 1 formula feed and I felt the difference. Even that one formula feed gives u a break and wud give u some amount of sleep as others can feed the baby. Its important u learn but doing things on ur own but take as much help as possible at this time. U will feel active now but after 6 months things start showing up. Knee pains or sole pains or back pain or neck pain weakness something or the other comes up and the reason for not taking care when it was required.
    Coming to bonding there is whole life for it. So 6 months are crucial. along side baby care give time for ur recovery too. So take rest and take help from others as much as u get.

    I was suffering from the low supply of milk and my family members keep on saying that he is hungry and gave him formula..My biggest mistake I did not leave my part time job in evening to earn money and support my husband ..So for a long stretch I used to remain separated from my baby and that time they had to give formula to my baby...so the demand supply chain got disturbed...Then I took lactation consultant's appointment and I got that improvement but whole day expressing, compressing , messaging and feeding made me too much stressed and tired that my milk supply got decreased..It's my biggest regret that why I did not give full time to my new born and followed those methods to feed him my own milk..Instead of focusing on money and paying to lactation consultant I could have devoted that time for increasing breast milk by feeding him thoroughly.I regret
